This one shot is based on basically what I think should happen tomorrow or today in some parts of the world. I know it won't happen most likely, but still. Also because it is nearly 1:30 am, I didn't have time to edit it, and I'm pretty sure the end part sucks. I'm not sure if I should even have posted this because it's probably not worth your time to read, but still, if you want to take the time to criticize, Enjoy! š
Prem couldn't take it anymore. He wasn't a weak man; how could he let his wife go like that? Heer wasn't just his wife, she was his love, the love he had waited all his life for; even fought death and went against the family for. That was it, he'd bring her back. Preet's words had impacted him, despite his trying to deny it, Heer was his wife, she had to be in her rightful place; their home.
He quickly opened his door and rushed down the stairs running into his mother and new sister-in-law on the way.
"Prem! Kahan ja rahe ho itni raat ko?" She called out to him before he could step foot past the threshold.
"Aapni patni ko lene," Prem replied, not waiting to hear her response to that.

How could he let go? After everything they had been through together. They had tackled all the obstacles with ease just by being together; he had fought AGAINST his own for her, for their love; so what changed now? All the pains, and the moments of torture, and then the worst shock; his death was that all nothing compared to this? Heer couldn't see where this whole crisis with Veera had turned into HER fault. She had overheard Veera and Nihaal talking about it and Nihaal had swore he had a phone call from the doctor then why was she always proven wrong? The worst thing even more than her family not believing her was Prem. How could HE lose faith in her? Didn't they vow to always be together, face whatever problems came together? Gazing at the moon brought tears to Heer's eyes that she couldn't even brush away. These tears were the reason her relationship with Prem had first started. He had seen the 'dard' in her eyes and that had led him to trust her, love her. Then today why was it so hard for him to see it?
Heer couldn't forget the moment he had told her his final words, 'Heer, tumhare pas do minute hain," That wasn't her Prem speaking, he would have looked into her eyes if he was honest with himself. He had never felt the need to look away from her, what was it today that changed? She hugged her sides holding herself together. She felt a hand on her shoulder and spun around. "Nihaal bhaiyya?"
"Heer, bahot raat ho chuki hain, tum jaake so jao," He told her.
Heer shook her head. "Aaj raat neend nahin ayegi," Right then the phone rang and Heer who is closer picked it up. "Hello?
Silence on the other end continues for a few minutes, but Heer didn't want to hang up. A feeling in her heart told her it was the person who had hurt her the most in one night. "Prā"
"Tum bahar aa sakhti ho?" His voice seemed frantic.
"Kya hua?" Heer asked. "Tum kahan ho?"
"Nihaal ke ghar ke bahar. Please Heer," his voice still made her feel weak but this time she'd stand strong. She didn't want to be tested time and time again when he had his doubts.
"Aarahi hoon," she slammed down the phone and faced Nihaal. "Prem neeche hain, main usse milke aati hoon,"
"Khayal rakhna," Nihaal simply said while Heer nodded, grabbing a shawl on her way out.
She saw him leaning against his car, his hair in a mess, as if he'd tried to sleep but failed. His clothes were creased. She stepped closer to him still hating the way her heart ached out for him.
"Heer," his voice sounded as strained as it did on the phone. She kept her distance, wrapping the shawl around herself.

Her eyes were red and still rimmed with tears. He wouldn't forgive himself for causing her this pain again. He took a step closer but she stepped back again.
"Tum waheen raho. Tum kyun aaye?" She asked, her voice making him want to take her into his arms and convince her it was all okay and she'd be going home with him. But he knew he couldn't do that. Too much had happened.
"Heer main tumhe ghar lene aaya hoon," Prem had barely finished when Heer shook her head.
"Maine tumse kaha tha, ke yeh main kabhi nahin bhulungi, aur tum aagaye?" Heer sighed. "Premātumne yeh kiya hi kyun?"
"Heer mainā" He had nothing to answer to that. Should he tell her that Gayatri ma had made him choose between his wife and his mother? He made his decision. "Kya hum wahan jaa sakhte hain?" He pointed to a couple of benches in the center of the courtyard. Heer reluctantly nodded and followed him but sat on the adjacent bench to his. "Tum mera yakeen nahin karogi," Prem started. "Lekin maine yeh sab ma ke waja se kiya tha,"
"Māma?" Heer uttered. "Ma ne tumse yeh kaha tha? Ke mujhe ghar main na aane dena?" She shook her head. "Main nahi manti,"
"To chalo mere saath. Ek baar khud mere saath ghar ajao,"
"Woh ghar ab mera nahi hain," Heer said without glancing at him.
"Tum sach mein yeh keh rahi ho?" Prem asked disbelievingly.
Heer nodded. "Agar tum sirf yehi kehna chathe the to main jao?"
Prem shook his head. How should he explain her? He needed to convince her to come back home with him. The confidence he had when he had left home seemed to falter away at seeing her look so angry at him. She had never been so upset with anyone in this manner. He had to do something. "Heer, main tumhe ghar leke hi jaonga,"

The nerve he had telling her he came to take her home. Did he think this was a game? Kick your wife out and then come to get her another 3 hours later? Heer finally stared up into his eyes, searching for HER Prem, the one she had fallen in love with. Was he still there somewhere inside? When he had told her to leave there was no Prem in him, it was as if Prem's soul had disappeared, but now looking into his chocolate eyes, she saw it, a glimpse of HER Prem, the one who had confronted her about their love, the one who had reminded her of their love even when she was trying to stay away from him. This was her Prem she saw sitting in front of her.
"Kya badal gaya Prem?" Heer asked. "Aur mujhe kyun yakeen hoga ke tum yeh wapas nahin karoge?"
Prem got up and kneeled down in front of her. "Heer tumhe mujhpe vishwas karna hoga. Yeh sab main anjaane mein, bina soche kar diya," He grasped her hands.
She pulled away her hands and stood up, causing her shawl to fly away with the cool burst of wind. Prem quickly ran after it and grabbed it in time. He slowly made his way back to her, and wrapped the shawl around her tightly, letting his fingers linger around hers for a few minutes longer. "Heer please,"
"Nahi Prem," she turned around again. "Main nahiā"
He took her shoulder and turned her around and put both his hands on her face, holding her close to his. "Heerāmujhe pata hain ke main jo kiya woh ghalat tha, aur tum kabhi mujhe maaf nahi kar sakogi, lekin please mere ghar mein wapas aajao. Sabko tumhari zarooraat hain, Meher ko, Preet ko, Kul di ko, Tannu ko,"
"Aur?" Heer slowly opened her eyes looking into his. "Tumhe nahin hain?"
Prem nodded, letting his forehead touch hers. "Mujhe tumhari zarooraat sabse zyaada hain."
"Lekin Preā" Heer said breaking away from their hold.
He grabbed her hand. "Aur kuch nahin. Bas tum aur main."
"Kya?" She asked.
"Hum ghar jayenge, aapna sara saman lene ke liye aur phir chalejayenge. Hamesha hamesha ke liye." Prem replied.
"Kahan?" Heer asked.
"Jahan humara pyar hume lejaye," Prem replied, taking Heer's hand in his, clasping his fingers tight around hers. "Tum mera saath dogi na?"
Heer smiled. "Hamesha ke liye,"

"Maya bhabhi, ab hum kya karenge?" Veera asked pacing around her room while Maya stood in the corner thinking. "Mujhe nahi lagta tha ke Prem bhaiyaa jayenge Heer bhabhi ko lene,"
"Ssh Veera! Mujhe sochne do," Maya replied, biting her lip. "Kyun na hum ma ko yakeen dilaye ke Prem bhaiyya ne yeh sab isliye kiya kyunki woh sautele hain?"
"Woh to hum koshish kar rahe hain." Veera replied. "Aur waise bhi yeh abortion ka to kuch faida nahi hua. Mujhe lagta tha ke hum Prem bhaiyya aur Heer dono ko is ghar se nikal denge. Aur phir saath mein Kul di bhiā"
"BAS!" They heard Gayatri's voice from the entrance of the room.
"Maā" Veera started walking towards her but Gayatri held up her hand.
"Ma kaho mujhe ma. Tumhare mu se yeh suna bhi mere liye paap hoga," Gayatri said furiously to her. "Nikaal jao is ghar se," Gayatri grabbed Veera's arm and dragged her down the stairs while Maya followed. "Mujhe vishwas nahi hota ke tum meri kok se janmi hain," She glared at her and Maya who both retreated their steps towards the door.
Prem and Heer chose that exact moment to walk through the door.
"Prem beta," Gayatri rushed up to him and ran her hand fondly over his hair.
"Ma," He took her hand away. "Mujhe Heer pe aur Nihaal pe vishwaas hain. Hum dono aapna saman lene aaye hain. Hume is ghar se kuch nahinā"
Gayatri quickly put her hand over his mouth. "Aisa mat kaho. Maine Veera aur Maya ki saari baatein sunli hain," The three of them turned to glare at the two girls who shamelessly stood there. "Mujhe sach baat paata chalgayi," She walked towards Heer and put both her hands on Heer's cheeks and kissed her forehead. "Mujhe maaf kardo beta,"
"Nahi maā" Heer tried to interrupt.
"Main aapni mamta main aandhi hogayi thi," Gayatri said shaking her head. "Aur woh bhi ek aisi beti ke liye jisko ma shabd ka matlab bhi nahi pata,"
Hearing all the commotion got the rest of the family members minus the kids to come downstairs. Seeing his Heer bhabhi and Prem bhaiyya standing together immediately brought a smile to Preet's face who looked towards his wife who was grinning back in the same way. Kulraaj looked at Prem who smiled back slowly at his older sister. If only he had the same strength she had. Then he looked back towards Heer who was trying to smile despite feeling overwhelmed. He went over to her and slowly put his arm around her, and she knew this time it was forever. He wouldn't doubt her again or put her through tests that questioned her loyalty. This was it now. Prem and Heer, if one was punished the other would be right by their side; the way Rabba intended it to be.
So? I'm very iffy about the entire one shot, only because I think half of the dialogues are much too 'hammed up,' But that's what happens when I type in Hindi! š I hope you all appreciated my way of what "should" happen, not like it will. But still enjoy! š
Love you all loads,
