Hey! This may actually be the first KulrajKiran shot in the forums! I'm not sure, but I think so! 😆 Anyways, I came up with this when my sister got the song 'Main Shayar Toh Nahi' stuck in my head during dinner one night. And it has a splash of Meet in it. 😉
Enjoy!

Kulraj and Meher glared at their husbands', both of whom were trying hard to keep straight faces. The day had started out pleasantly enough. Kulraj should have known something would go wrong, considering the fact that even her kids had not bothered her today. It had been too good to be true.
"Par humne kiya kya?" Preet asked plaintively. Kiran, who was sitting on the armrest of the chair Preet was sitting on, turned his face away, snickering quietly.
Meher flared up at her husband. "There is no need to act innocent. Aap dono toh -" She growled and Preet shrank back.
Kulraj just folded her arms across her chest and raised an eyebrow at her husband. He gulped. "It had seemed a good idea at the time," he ventured.
"That's how it always starts," she stated drily.
But Kiran was telling the truth, this time at least. The newlyweds, Harman and Ash, had decided to go out for a candlelight dinner. Veera and Nihaal were back at their place. So the remaining three young husbands had formulated a plan to try and surprise their wives by preparing dinner. Midway through preparation, Prem had decided to leave, taking in the mess, and knowing his wife would not be happy with it. But Kiran and Preet had followed through with their plan. How were they to know that they would set off the smoke alarm and almost start a fire? It could have happened to anyone, and Kiran told his wife just that.
"It could," she conceded. "But it had to happen to you." She shook her head. "Ab hume hi sab kuch saaf karna hai, aur upar se dinner bhi tayar karni hai."
"Then it's a good thing Ma-Bauji took your kids to Veera's place for dinner no?" Preet asked.
Meher snapped at him. "Tum chup raho, toh behter rahega."
Preet and Kiran exchanged looks. Kiran reassured his saala silently. He turned to his wife, and started to sing, "Main shayar toh nahi, magar eh haseen, jab se dekha, maine tujhko mujhko, shayari aa gayi." Preet applauded, and egged on, Kiran continued, "Main aashiq toh nahi, magar eh haseen, jab se dekha maine tujhko mujhko aashiqui aa gayi."
Kulraj tried to keep an angry front, but the blush that stained her cheeks was evident to her husband. Meher hit her forehead. Preet smirked at her, and she bit down a grin. It was just not possible to stay mad at them.
"Chalo, hum bhi bahar chalte hai," Preet slipped an arm around his wife's waist. "Enjoy having the house to yourselves!" He cheekily waved at his Di and Jiju.
Kiran continued to serenade his wife, walking around her, enjoying the fact that even after all these years, he could still bring colour to her cheeks.
"Main shayar toh nahi."
