I think the problem with the creatives is that they showed us that he's not dying. If we thought there was a possibility he was dying, his character would have seemed strong for us...

Arey yaar i am not saying what he is thinking is right, all i am saying and have been saying is that he has been through hell, trauma of blast + guilt + shock that he is dieing and to top the condition of his family without him has messed up his mind! He is doing what he thinks is right, i am not saying it is logical but to him it is! His messed up brain that must have been in immense stress could think up only this! Imagine having to live ut life every single day knowing death is close? Do you think a person even if as brave as Prem (and he has been brave0 won't be able to think straight!

He thinks if he leaves as gaurav the family would only have to think that Prem never returned, he died in the blast! Thats his thinking right or wrong! He is not in a mental state to be able to make 2+2 =4...i hope i made some sense!

yeah raksha i was thinking the same thing...why didn't he consult another doctor..why did he believe just DeDo...i mean he won business man of the year....so he has to be a little smart to know he should do another checkup! all this is just leading to a suspenful climax.

Actually, I've never doubted his reason for going away. His smile at the end was unnerving, but after the last few months, I think it's obvious that he's learnt one thing pretty well - how to hide his feelings and his pain. He CAN'T stick around, because he would die in front of them. He loves his family beyond anything else, do you think he wants to die alone, without his own loved ones around him? Noone wants to die alone, but he is doing it so his family doesn't feel his pain....

Also, remembering the family's reaction to Prem's 'death' last time, they would simply fall apart again. This time, they would be devastated.
