Epilogue

"Heer, do you have all your stuff?" Prem asks as he lifts up two suitcases.

"Yes Prem. And even if I do forget something, I'm sure Manmeet will send it." Heer says smiling at Manmeet.

"Yes, I will. Now let's get going, your flights in like 2 hours." Manmeet says to them both.

Prem and Manmeet both load the luggage into the car, and Manmeet gets them to the airport with time to spare.

"Thanks for everything man." Prem shakes Manmeet's hand.

"No need to thank me, I'm just glad you got your wife back." Manmeet's smiles looking at Heer.

"Thanks Manmeet. Really...if you hadn't had saved me, I wouldn't be around." Heer admits, hugging him, while Prem looks on happily.

"Okay guys, now you better go, varna flight miss ho jayegi." Manmeet laughs, pushing them along.

Prem and Heer both make their way to the check in counter, and Prem hands the attendant their passports and tickets. The attendant returns their passports along with their boarding passes.

"Prem, I can't believe we're really going home." Heer says as they walk along to the security check point.

"You can't believe; imagine everyone's shock when they see you!" Prem comments.

Both of them part ways for the different gender security lines. When they finally come together;

"Shock? Why will they be shocked? Tumne unhe bataya nahin?" She asks.

"Nope, saved it as a surprise." Prem answers casually. "Preet knows though."

"Oh really? I can't wait to see them all!" Heer says as they walk towards the final boarding area.

At Ludhiana Airport

"Yeh Preet kahan reh gaya? I told him we'd be here by 3." Prem says checking his cell phone then his watch. "He's never on time!"

"Don't worry. Woh aa jayega." Heer says as they get their suitcases from the carousel.

"PB!" They hear a voice call out behind them.

Prem turns around and sees Preet rushing towards them. "PB! Heer bhabhi, tum dono ko ek saath dekh kar sach mein yakeen ho gaya,

"Kis baat ka?" Heer asks.

"Ke duniya mein pyar sabse upar hota hain," Preet winks at Heer who blushes and shakes her head.

"You haven't changed na?" Heer smiles.

Preet shakes his head. "Meaning you remember?" He glances at Prem. "I thought you said bhabhi couldn't remember everything,"

Prem sighs and puts his arm around Heer's shoulders. "She's gaining her memory bit by bit,"

Preet smiles. "Meher will be really happy to see you,"

"Aur mujhe bhi sabse milna hain," Heer smiles as they all get into the car.

On the Way

"Ghar mein sab kaise hain?" Prem asks Preet.

"Sab theek hain." Preet answers back. "Everyone will be so happy to see bhabhi."

"Did you do all the preparations?" Prem asks him.

"Kaunsi preparations?" Heer asks from the back.

"It's okay, you'll see!" He winks at her.

Heer just glares at him as he laughs.

"Haan PB, sab tayarri ho chuki hain. It was kind of difficult to hide it all from everyone though!" Preet laughs.

"You're the master at all that though aren't you?" Prem laughs.

"Everyone? What'd you hide?" Heer asks.

"Heer. Stop asking questions, you'll see!" Prem laughs.

At the Juneja House

"Welcome home Heer." Prem says as he opens her door.

She smiles as she steps out of the car. "I can't believe we're really here."

Prem takes her hand and leads her up the front steps to the main door and rings the door bell.

"Aa rahi hoon Preet!" They hear Meher's voice from inside and giggle.

She opens the door and her mouth goes wide open. "Heer di?" she blinks a couple more times. "Saach mein tum ho?"

"Haan Meher, it's really her, ab hume ander to aane do." Preet laughs.

Heer steps into the house with her right foot and just freeze up seeing the grand stair case. She slowly starts tearing up when Prem puts his arm around her shoulders.

"Rona mat. This is a happy occasion; you're finally back where you belong." Prem whispers to her.

She nods, as they walk in.

"Heer beta?" Gayatri ma smiles as she comes down the stairs.

"Ma?" Heer rushes forward and touches her feet.

"Tum aagayi? Hume yakeen tha, tumhe kuch nahin hua." Gayatri pulls Heer up and gives her a hug.

Heer smiles and hugs her back. "Baaki sab?" She asks.

"Papa!" a small child's voice filters through the house. She runs straight for Preet's legs and wraps herself around him.

"Bas Anjali beta." Preet lifts her up. "Aapni kaki ko Namaste karo."

Anjali looks up at Heer and gives her a shy smile. "Namaste kaki! Aap kaka shaadi?"

They all laugh. "Kaki ya Masi?" Heer frowns.

"Lagta hain usse aapko kaki hi kehna hai, vaise iska matlab hain, kya aap aur Prem jiju ki shaadi ho chuki hain?" Meher explains.

"Haan. Jab tum peda bhi nahin hui thi na? Tab." Heer says to her squeezing her cheek. "Meher, main to bilkul bhool gayi that you were pregnant when everything had happened!" Heer hugs her again.

"Aapke bina woh khushi bhi bilkul adhuri hain di," Meher hugs her back.

"Baaki sab kahan hain? Harman bhaiya? Bauji?" Heer asks looking around.

"Harman bhai is waqt office mein hain aur bauji mandir gaye hain," Preet informs her. "Lekin sab shaam ko aajayenge,"

"Aaj shaam tak? Kya horaha hain?" Heer narrows her eyes.

"That my dear wife, you'll find out soon." Prem says. "Anyways you need your rest. Ma, hum aapne kamre main jaate hain. Theek hain?"

"Bilkul beta. Heer ko aram ki zarooraat hain." Gayatri says, running her hand over Heer's head.

Prem and Heer both go to their room.

Later that night

"Heer, are you ready yet?" Prem calls from the bathroom.

"Haan baba, do minute." She says fixing her necklace.

He comes out and sees her in bright royal blue sari, with her hair loose.

"Two things are missing." He comments.

She quickly glances in the mirror. "Kya?"

He sits her down by her dresser and pulls out a mangulsuta. "This for starters." He puts it around her neck. Then he takes out a small container of sindoor and pinches it with his thumb and index finger, and runs it through her maang. "Now you look like Mrs. Heer Juneja." He rests his chin on her shoulder.

"Prem, Thank-you." Heer says.

Prem smiles. "Kis liye?"

"For giving me the greatest family in the world, and for believing that I never really died." She gets tears in her eyes.

"Don't cry Heer. Seeing you here with me right now has been a dream that was unfulfilled for the last two years. Right now, I feel like the most complete man alive." He says to her, making her stand up.

She smiles. "Chale?"

"After you." He says, offering her his arm.

She takes his arm and they both walk into a room full of people, friends and family all of whom were ecstatic to see Heer back and well.

"This really is the perfect life." Heer looks around the room, her eyes stopping on her beloved husband.

Later that night, Heer left the party and after saying good night to everyone she slowly headed up the stairs towards her's and Prem's room, when all of sudden a hand reached out and grabbed her waist and pulled her into a room.

"Chor chor!" Heer lets out before a hand clamps down on her mouth.

"Chor nahin, main hoon," Prem says in a husky voice. He takes his hand away from her mouth, but keeps his other hand around her waist holding her close. "Tumse kuch baat karni thi,"

"To hum neeche bhi baat kar sakhte hain," Heer says.

"Nahi, akele mein baat karni thi," Prem says, slowly releasing her and walking her backwards, their eyes fixed on each other.

Heer slowly closes her eyes and then opens them right away.

"Kya hua Heer?" Prem asks immediately concerned.

"This has happened before." She states.

Prem starts smiling. "Tumhe yaad hain?"

"Thoda thoda," Heer says looking up at him.

"Aur kuch yaad hain?" Prem smiles using his long index finger to trace along her cheekbone.

Heer shivers at his touch and closes her eyes till she opens them wide again. "ANDA!"

"Kya?" Prem asks, stepping away.

Heer reaches out and pulls him closer with her hands. "Tumhara woh dialogue, 'Sunday ho ya Monday, roz kahao ande,'" Heer smirks as Prem looks on completely baffled.

"Heer.....tum!" Prem laughs as she runs away towards their balcony. He slowly walks towards her and smirks. "Did you think you'd run away from me?"

"When did I say I wanted to run away from you?" Heer raises her eyebrows.

Prem shakes his head and smiles as he puts his arms around her. Heer knew this was where she belonged with HER Prem. Their names we meant to be taken as one.

Ahh...Maybe I'm just tired, but the names are confusing me! Anjali is Meet's daughter right? So who's Vidya? And Uma? I feel so lost right now...😕

Anyway, for some reason I kept thinking that Manmeet would...do...something...yeah I know I'm weird...Ooh, but from the reactions everyone had to Heer it was as if they knew she was coming. Really cute...And why is it over? =( Awww yeah...I wanted it to be a short story so I didnt want to add too much drama!😆 But thanks, and it's over to give me time to focus on my other two ffs!😉😃 Thanks soooo much for commenting though Bhav!

And it ended! And what a nice and long epilogue. Really wonderful. Loved the fact that bit-by-bit Heer's memory is coming back, and Preet is brilliant. And Meet have a daughter! Cutie pie *pinches cheeks*

All good things must come to an end. 😃

What a fit, and absolutely perfect ending, not just some Premeer but a lil bit of Meet, a dash of kids (☺️) and you are SET! Preet and Meher, were awsome in this part as were their kids. ☺️

And the last scene, I loved how Prem was hoping she would remember the romance but instead she remembers him getting told my a kid. 🤣You wrote that perfectly jaan! LOVED IT!
