It had started raining early in the morning on a Saturday, the day he was going to spend outside, getting to know this new beautiful city. Bari was a beautiful place, with amazing places to visit, though most people came here for work purposes or to ride the ferries to Greece, in his opinion it was absolutely gorgeous. It offered many places to visit that held a historic meaning, and he was planning to see them all during his stay in Bari. Turning to look away from his balcony window, he grimaced at the sight of his bags, waiting to be unpacked, and a task he would rather not do.
"Hey Harshad, there are so many places to go see man! We should go as soon as possible, before work kicks in and we don't have time to see the sights" Sushant said excitedly, coming from his room with a guide book, which told them everything they needed to know while their stay in Italy. Harshad glanced up from taking his clothes out of his suitcase and nodded with a soft smile, his eyes twinkled in the light of the room. "You wanna have breakfast downstairs?" he asked his friend cum brother.
Shushant nodded and went back to his room to change out of his sweats while Harshad took his time in placing his clothes that were out of the suitcase in his closet. They had their own apartment/suite or whatever you would like to call it at the famous Diamante blu, which meant Blue Diamond in Italian. The apartment building was owned by an elderly couple who was very kind and had more than enough money. The apartments were in the best conditions, one would expect the rent to be really high, and instead it was something a family could afford without trouble or worry over expenses when times were rough.
Hmm, wonder when the rain is going to stop? I really wanted to go see the sights, especially the ones with the interesting history hidden within its walls Harshad thought as he checked to see if his phone and wallet were in his jeans pocket. He glanced up as Sushant came out of his room, dressed casually. "Ready?" he asked, Harshad nodded softly and they left, locking the door behind them. They walked across the street quickly to the small cafe like restaurant. Confused over what they should order, they argued over what was most likely to be something they would be able to eat. Finally the waitress broke their agruement/discussion and suggested what they should eat and promised them it was chicken for Sushant and a salad for Harshad.
The food was really good, they both decided as they ate some desert. The ringing of a cell phone stopped their conversation and Sushant glared at the name flashing on the screen of his phone. "Hello" he answered, rolling his eyes at Harshad who smiled in his drink, knowing who it was on the line.
"Sushant? Listen, can you meet me at the sets? We have to do that hug scene over again" a girl's voice said over the speaker, Sushant sighed tiredly and glanced with desperate eyes at his snickering friend. "Umm, again? Now? But, can't we do it some other time? I'm really tired besides we did the hug scene in India, how are we going to retake it here in Italy?" he asked hoping this would be a way out of meeting her. It wasn't that he didn't like her; it was just that she liked him a bit too much for his comfort, otherwise Mihika was an amazing girl, really sweet and fun to work with.
"Err, well I don't know, they're looking for a open park to shoot the scene at so it would match the scene from India" Mihika said chewing on her lip, glancing at the chief editor to check if she was right and received a nod to her assumption. "Oh…but it's raining" Sushant glanced at the street which was being covered with water. There was a pause and he heard some mumbling in the background before Mihika returned and replied, "It is supposed to be a rain scene anyway Sushant, now tell me where you are and the driver will come pick you up, we need to get the scene done so we can continue to the next part…" she waited for the directions and rattled them off to the driver.
Sushant glanced at Harshad and sighed, closing his cell phone. "I have to go redo a scene…there goes my beauty sleep" he pouted as his friend started laughing at his expression. Five minutes later, Sushant was leaving in the car to wherever he needed to go for the shooting while Prem decided to walk back to the hotel and get some reading done. Ah the rain is still going on strong, hm, how long is it supposed to rain anyway? He thought as he walked down the street, staying under cover wherever and however he could until he was able to cross and enter the hotel.
The lobby was bare, only a few last minute check-ins coming in; the other guests were either outside somewhere or cuddled up in their rooms. He smiled at the workers and waited for the lift. Turning his back on the lift, he glanced outside to see the rain getting worse, it was practically soaking outside right now, and the drizzle was gone, leaving it to pour in its wake. "Ding" rang behind him and he twisted around to watch as the doors to the elevator opened slowly, it was as if time itself was stopping around him as he came face to face with an angelic face.
Her brown hair was piled at the top of her head in a messy bun; the touch was finished by a pencil resting through the bun. Her hazel eyes were staring at the watch on her lean wrist. Pretty woman…come true for me. He grinned to himself as he entered the lift and she glanced up just in time to get a glimpse of his face before he turned. She smiled to herself, her eyes focused on the back of his head as a single thought entered her mind, Chocolate boy…
He could feel her eyes on him yet unlike the times such gazes would annoy him greatly, this one made him feel calm, it was as if someone had wrapped him up in a comfortable blanket, which was rather unnerving since it was just a gaze, but somehow it felt right to describe what he was feeling at the moment with such words. He felt her eyes leave him after observing a few more moments and sighed sadly, already missing it. Whoa, what the hell Harshad? Are you seriously thinking that about some chick you don't even know the name of? He muttered in his mind, a crease of frown appearing between his brows. The elevator dinged as it opened on his floor, which happened to be hers also as she followed him out.
He walked to the far end of the hallway, hearing her soft footsteps behind him, she probably lived near him then. He stopped at 35B and reached in his pocket for the key while the girl went in the apartment across from his. 36B, better keep that number in mind if I ever need to call her…accidently of course. Seeing as I don't even know her name. He sighed walking into his room, the girl's face would just not leave him alone and he fell on the bed, pulling the pillow against his chest as he remembered how cute she looked.
