Hi Smita,
A Happy Friday to u! Hope u have a good weekend plan! Want to know mine? Dream & think about Prem & Heer in ur Destiny? 😃 That's my modus operandi.
Hi Lana! Hope u had a good weekend day dreaming about Prem and Heer...I know I did... Sad part is that I had to daydream and then write about it...😆
Ok I feel like killing myself now, why u know? I typed out almost the whole reply & just at the verge of posting it got wiped out! Now I had to redo the whole thing. Aargghhh!!
I know what you mean! It has happened to me a few times with your posts...just when I go to post, I lose everything...pretty frustrating!! 😡
Ok 1st of all loved how u portrayed Lalit's character. Smita I am sure u will have high bidders for him as well. Very soon we will hear 'gone once, gone twice, gone thrice, sold' for him. 😆 All ur characters r so likeable, I feel & wish I had known some like them! Not only is he a good husband, a father, businessman but also a good human being! Many people work up the ladder of society to reach to the top but very few remember the impoverished days of their lives. Seldom they retain the values, morals & ethics in the brilliance of this new found wealth, fame & position. But Lalit did remember those impecunious days of his life & maintained a nice equilibrium in the society not going overboard in the silly rat race to achieve recognition amongst the wealthy masses. I believe he was helped a lot in this regard by his deserving life partner as well. No wonder all his 3 sons r so well bred & doesn't possess the hunger to flaunt & possess wealth.
😆😆 Lalit is a really nice guy, just has no tact with how to deal with things. He is also a very old fashioned guy, despite his wealth...and his kids very much belong to the 21st century! It is true that very rarely you find people like these, but I would like to think that they exist..*taking off my rose tinted glasses to wipe* 😆 The world would become a much more depressing place if I did not think like this....And yes, Lalit has been helped by Gayatri and thus their sons are the way they are....😃
U drew a superb picture of this society Smita. I could totally relate to it. Also u forgot to mention other than silly gossip amongst the women we also see a lot of boasting about the amount of jewellery & other valuable goods they own! In all strata of society we get backbiting, gossip & competition but maybe it prevails a little more in this particular class to advertise as much as u can to establish a certain position & catch the eyes of ur co-competitor. So their manoeuver to be in the same league of Lalit & Gayatri by hooking a relationship through their sons didn't surprise me at all. There r too many people like the Kapoors.
I had that line written up about the clothes and the jewelry, but then erased it to make way to show some of Prem's happiness...Again true that you find these types of people in all strata of society, more so in the richer class...they have more to lose, no? 😉 And getting a rich husband is a sure fire way of getting money, no? Hard work..what is that?? 😆😆
But amongst these snatchers & takers it was a delight to get a peek into Prem's happiness. His mind is full of his ladylove & that makes him cheerful, happy & sociable. If only everyone knew the cause of his amiable state of mind they wouldn't have bothered to grace the occassion by their presense I think. Not only Prem but all his brothers r betrothed or atleast their hearts r taken! Poor matchmakers! All their attempts r so futile but only if they knew!
It was a good touch...now that I think about it. All these mothers clamoring to have him as their SIL, while he is lost in thoughts of the woman he loves...😆 Yeah, little do they know that all their sons are taken...almost....😆😆
I didn't know Prem could possess the emotion of 'guilt'. Being the go-getter, confident, carefree guy he is I thought he is devoid of this particular feeling but then this was a special occasion where after seeing the pride of his father about him this emotion slowly creeped in on him. I wonder if Anita hadn't ruptured the moment at that precise time would he have told his father about him & Heer later? I guess yes.
Right...this was a side effect of his father's pride in him. And really, Prem had had no reason to talk to him...he was just playing with his dad's emotions and I think Prem was feeling particularly mellow....😆 Yes, I believe that he would have told his dad later, had Anita not intervened.
Ahhh, about Anita! Another slimy creature with a face of a woman! 😡 She still can't fathom that her super hot magnificent handsome boss has chosen a simpleminded girl like Heer over her! She still cherishes a hope somewhere that all this is a facade & maybe she still stands a chance, yeah only in her dreams! She is so conniving, she purposely did that antic in front of Lalit just to test the real situation & I am happy that Prem had the sense to take his father out from there to privacy.
That antic was stage managed by Anita...her implication was clear that she had been pumping the guests for info and when she got none, decided to go right to the top! Ah, I think it was her ego hurting for Prem having picked, like u said, a simpleminded girl like Heer...More that having hope with Prem, she was vindictive and out to cause trouble...Yes Prem really is the go to guy in a tough spot, isn't he?😉
Though Lalit is smart but still at times he is incapable of holding his anger or emotions & to get this particular piece of news from a third person he would have blown his head for sure! Another round of applause to u for handling the situation so well. No over-the-top dialogues, no melodrama, no odd situations like in Ekta shows but a very normal, well handled scenario with perfect dialogues. 👏 The way he calmed his father down by directly going to the point slowly letting him slide from anger to soother & finally to ecstacy. I could literally feel the surprise & then the pleasure in Lalit's face followed by happiness. Today for the 1st time I could see the successful businessman in Lalit in ur story. He knows the exact way how to twist one's arms to extract the right answer be it through pressurising one's emotions or by striking one's weakness at the apt moment. I can't imagine Prem being waylaid this way to give in to his demands. First his reference of himself as an old man very surreptitiously & 2ndly by harping on Prem's love for Gayatri. How could he refuse Gayatri's happiness of this special gift about their engagement announcement? A perfect businessman! He knows exactly when to optimize the maximum in any given situation. Now I know where Prem has got his skills to be a successful businessman all by himself. For the 1st time I feel he has achieved some trait from Lalit. No wonder I told u ur Lalit is likeable & smart too!
Yes, Prem knew that as much as his father was keeping up appearances, he would surely blow his top about hearing that from a third person! And he had to do some serious quick thinking to keep a lid on that situation. See Prem can real handle all situations, except being in the same proximity as Heer...then he goes haywire...pretty neat, no? 😉 Of course Lalit still has the touch...he did not make money just like that.😆 He knew exactly when and where to strike to make Prem do his bidding...and Prem is his son, he had to get some traits from his father, right?
Now Smita next update don't forget to show the malice of Anita turning to disappointment, her dampen spirit, fallen face & ashen features, I would love to read it. U know it surprises me how come she has still not used her skills on Atul. Next to Prem only he is the one who can make her the next Mrs. Trump! Wish Prem would tell something to Anita because a character like her will not repose but will try to bring in some turmoil again in future in their relationship.
It will take me at least another 2 chapters to make sure I get everyone's reactions...I did have something planned for Anita...keep reading....😃 I think she has already tried her hand with Atul and had no luck there..after all she can recognize him much easily...the love 'em and leave 'em types...😉
Ok if today was a chapter of revelations then the next one will be of reactions! Heer's reaction, Gayatri's, Meher's, the family's, the society's......all the reactions will be wonderful to read & the funny thing is the emotions of these reactions will vary from person to person. From shock, surprise, happiness, anger, pleasure & annoyance.....we will see it all!
Yes, it is all about the reactions in the next couple updates...I will try not to go over board with it...😆
And u already got my response on the Darcy speech....😆
Do I need to say how eagerly I am waiting for the part? U left us here? How could u Smita (In a dramatic way)? 😆 Those 10 minutes of their lives will be such a turning point of the story & we will have to wait, what 72 hrs for it! Bahoot nainsaafi hai! 😃 But on a serious note I will say that we all have our nasty life to attend to & if it is not possible then just ignore this lot of hungry bunch of loyal readers. U will always be the sunshine of our lives specially on Mon, Wed & Fri & we will remain faithful to ur story for our sake, for our peace of mind, for our satisfaction.
