Part 39 continued

Flashback to where Prem has just bought a farm land to built a hotel :

Prem blind folds Heer.

Heer : yeh sab kya hai Prem

Prem : Shhh... Tumhe mujhpe barosa hai na, to phir chup. Kuh baat nahin karnee...bas mujhe yeh blind fold dalne do.

Heer : Prem , par hum jaa kahan rahe hai.

Prem : Batadoonga to Surprise nahin rahega....

Heer : Prem

Prem : Heer

Heer : Prem

Prem Yes, Heer ...There, the blindfold is done....

Prem takes Heer Hands and guides her to the car. He opens the door of the car for her and gets her to sit. Then he sits down on the driver Seat and drives the car, ocassionally glancing sideways towards Heer and a naughty smile engulfing on his face.

They reach the farm land and the car stops. Prem gets out of the car and disappears for a while. Heer gets scared for a while. The door opens and Prem is silent. Heer knows some one has put their hand on her and is drawing really close to her...Heer doesnt say anything as she can feel prem around her...Suddenly , some body removes her blind fold slowly and she can feel prem breathing down her neck. When the blind fold is removed, she realizes no one is there. She looks around and goes searhing for prem. As soon as she takes a step forward, she puts her feet on bed of rose petals. Heer walks on looking for Prem. Prem appears from behind and puts his arm around heers waist. heer turns around and hugs prem, crying.

Prem: returning the embrace instantly, heer main to mazak kar raha tha....

Heer : Phir kabhi aisa mazak mat karna.

Prem : consioling her .... nahi karunga,. promise,.. main tumhe hod kar kabhi nahin jayoonga..he says this putting his hands on her face.

Then he covers her face with his hands, turns around , removes his hand and heer is gasping at the most beautiful sight she has seen.

There are hills on three side and a lake on the fourth. There are streams flowing all over. The 30 acre land is barren with just 3 trees around....

Heer is gasping looking at the beauty, Prem looks at Heer, bends down, asks her her hand. Takes her hand and says kaisa laga..humare naya property jahan pe hum zindagee ki nayee shuruwaat karenge, shaadi ke baad....

Here we will have a hotel , around it there will be a high storey building which will have the latest state of art techno savy things... This will be fully furnished flat, hotel ke workers ke liye.

and you know heer, this will be where our house will be, takes her to one of the corner of the land, and yahan pe humare ground floor hoga, yeh chota hai angan , with an open roof jahan pe swing hoga.... swing pe, hum dono jhooja jhoolenge... There will rooms for each family member... hum sab ek saath hi rahenge. drawing and dining room angan ko face karega, Two rooms will be on one side of the angan and one room on the other side.we will walk in into the dining area and in one corner will be huge open kitchen.... aur hum yahan se nikalke, bahar back lawn main jayenge jahan ek vegetable patch hoga aur us vegetable path main humare bacche khelengee...

Prem, mandir kahan hoga....

Prem : Mandir : North East pe hoga Heer... lets see, agar sun abhi humare upar hai, then I guess we will have to see the sunset to seewhere the east will be, unless you want to camp the night here and see the sunrise, which I dont mind.

Prem - Areee idea Heer, Camping karte hain. What say... goes puts his hand her shoulder and raises his eye brows. Heer is all shy...

***End of Flashbak***

Prem ... Prem is awakened from his thoughts as he hears some one call him. Its Heer...

Heer : Prem, Main tumhe kuch dena hahtee hai

Prem is lost in deep thoughts

Heer : Prem... Prem main jantee hoon tum kya soch rahe ho... par shayad... moves loser to him.. Prem withdraws on the sofa...

Heer : Shayad

Prem : Shayad

Heer : Shayad Yeh

Prem : Shayad Yeh... (By this time heer is very close to his face)

Heer : Shayad yeh tumhare kaam ki ho...

Prem is all flustered... but looks down and is shocked to see its heers land property papers...

Prem looks at Heer ..

Heer looks at prem and puts her hand on his lips....shhhh kuch mat bolo... daljeet chachi ne abhi mujhe diye, unhe apnee galtee ka pahtava hai...

Heer lookd at Prem and says, ab yeh tumharee amanat hai. Yeh Mere Bauji ki zameen hai aur yehan pe hum sab apne sapne phir se sawarengee...

Prem is touched and bliks his eye lashes as if in appreciation. Heer blinks her eye lashes too as if in affirmation

Prem is looking at the land papers that Heer had just given him. These were not land papers but were the future. Shuru se shuru karne padeegee yeh kahani.

Prem thinks and his thoughts go back to how lalit has left everything and came to canada with just Rs 20,000 - balrajs entire earnings. Tears well up in his eyes as he sees the land paper. Today it seemed Balraj uncle's family had yet again come to their rescue. This wasnt just a land or land papers, but it was dreams, dreams of wife, his wife's father, dreams two friends saw together, dreams he now had to fulfil.

Prem takes the land papers and puts the papers at his parents feet. Next he goes and is standing near the mandir, when heer comes and stands next to him, hands folded. Prem looks at him from the corner of his eyes and is thinking, meri himmat ho tum heer, aaj phir se mujhe tumharee saath aur himmat ki zaroorat hai. Heer then looks at Prem, Main tumhare saath hoon Prem. Har Kadan, Har Waqt. Jab bhi mur kar dekho, mujhe apne bagal ya peeche payoge.

Next Morning:

Before leaving for the land, Prem, Harman & Preet are fed meetha dahi by Gayatri. The whole family leaves for the land where they break a coconut. Preet has bought some paper along with him, (graph papers) to draw the designs. The boys figured that they wouldnt be able to afford an architect or an interior designer for that, so everything, from conetualization, to planning to drawing would have to be done by them

Preet, Harman & Prem would spend days and nights at site alternating and supervising the work and looking after gayatri. Prem needed to divide his time with the site and with Gayatri. Heer all this while, looked after everything.

one day, prem was stuk over some design when heer walked in,poured her head over the design and said : "Well if you dont mind, would it be better, if we considered some vastu aspets as well... I mean the fountain instead of being in the centre in the middle, shouldnt it be, where the north east is... and if you ask me prem, then the rooms should over look the east, atleast that way, the rooms will be bright... and also they will get the view... I dont know prem, just a suggestion, said heer. I will get you a hot towel." Prem pondered over what his wife had just said and then it cliked him. Heer, he said. He got up instantly and went to the direction of where he saw heer going. Not seeing heer anywhere, he sighed. Thinkig his muscles hurt, he removed his t shirt, stretching his shoulder muscles and his back, when the door opens and its heer with a hotel towel. Both prem and heer are in eye lock for a while walking towards each other. He reaches heer and on bended knees, takes heer hands and asks " Will you work with me"

Pren said Heer stammering, I am not sure if thats a good idea after all .

And Why Not, Said Prem.

I dont know, replied Heer. Nt too sure. (and she ruffles her hair with one of the hands)

Prem : (still catching hold of her hand and pulling her down), in case if you havent noticed, I am still on bended knees you know.... accha paas aaya... (pulls her closer), aur paas (pulls her even closer) and puts his arns around her as she closer to his face... - Just imagine how cool it will be, if we are working together. Kaam bhi ho jayega aur... thoda...

Heer : Thoda Kya Prem...

Prem ; looks up into her eyes... and says thoda romance...

Heer : Prem , glaring at him and again ruffling his hair

Prem : heer you know, I dont like any one touching my hair... they are you know ... my ... ummm.... sex appeal.

Heer : Sex Appeal , My Foot...

Prem : to kya main isse haan samjhoon...

Heer : haan , kis ke liye

Prem : Very Good , so tum mere saath kaam karogee

Heer : Maine aisa kab kaha prem.

Prem : abhi to bola.. tum mere saath kaam karogee... haan bola ki ahin bola

Heer : Haan... main nahin bola

Prem : bas tumne haan bol diya,..

(The door opens and Heer Falls in Prems lap and Prem catches hold of her and they are locked in others eyes ... )

AHEM, some one clears their throat...Its Preet.... Khulam Khula romance kare hayy rabba...ohhh sorry sorry... (covers his eyes) maine kuch nahin dekha.... (realizes there is no reaction and uncovers his eyes - sees prem and heer are locked in each others eyes fr eternity...), tries clicking his fingers near them - to no avail, tries switching on and switching off the light, tries moving a towel infront of them - to no avail... an idea comes to him... he goes to the bathroom, takes a bucket of cold water and throws it on prem and heer...

They are taken away from the eye lovk but they both down on each oher... Prem gets up and says preet aaj tu nahin bachega... runs after him... but preet has run away... saying tayaar ho jayo... jaldee... der ho rahee hai...
