* big thing: heer, heer, heer, heer, heer, heer... from the moment she stepped into the car spitting fire at Ratpal, to the time that she put her precious little payal into the little bag, she is the show. i had no idea that when prem stood in front of the fire, moulded together with heer at his side, screaming to the world that prem-heer-are-one, that it would be heer who would show the world, show us, show me how that was true. 'cause no matter how inflamed 😆 we all are at prem apparently not being in the show, heer has always been there to give him to me, to us, to the rest of the world. i'm stunned at how much they've got me through heer. prem-heer-are-one.
i thought the most amazing evidence of that was the way ratpal got her to wear that bloomin' outfit for the engagement. what did he say: "remember heer, you are living for your family...your father with a weak heart...your mother who is mad...i have destroyed your business." but none of those are heer's - they are prem's. and maybe ratpal has gone mad in his revenge-drive, but at least in his mind, prem-heer-are-one. and that's far more convicing than we who knew it from the moment that prem-hand held heer-hand the first time prem-heer met,
Yea...so totally agree with you here. Heer (AG) was brilliant...and yes, Heer proved over and over again that Prem-Heer are one. Isn't that what Ratpal was also doing..taking his revenge on Prem through Heer? See...everyone knows and believes that prem-heer are one...😃
every moment of heer in this one point five weeks was brilliant. ag - i salute you. i always thought you had heer down perfectly - from the start. guess what? you do!
amazing heer moments: her dismissive reaction to ratpal asking what if he was to do something her respectful incredulity at ratpal-mom that she doesn't stop her son. disgusting to her. *go heer! 👏* Oooh, did you see her sneer? 😊 i loved it!
her misery at not being able to do the pooja for prem. her anguished questioning 'bout why give her prem only to take him away from her. it was really sad...the moment. but i was so happy that prem was coming back and honestly the voice over kinda spoilt it for me. I know u already wrote about it
her defiance at ratpal-mom 'bout wearing the jewels. her daring to run away from ratpal from right under his nose, at the announcement of the engagement, running away into the storm to find her death.
ah! i so loved this part...her running away. it showed her sheer desperation. she was living because prem had asked her to and when she ran away, i think it showed a part of her insanity of leading a life without him...succumbing to her need to run away and be with prem...*sigh*
her poor soul-defeated cry to prem-in-the-moon that she just couldn't do life with ratpal (strange that she can do her life without prem, but just can't share herself with anyone else -- heer is prem's perfect love, how could she??). her heart-breakingly anguished demand that he comes back! "come back now!" (i mean, at this point, how could prem not have heeded her cries? how could he have not come back??!! 😆) and my godness, what an entry! i was almost a little surprised that this moment got a passing reference. r u holding out for the other new post just for dec 17? 😉
i must tell u what i liked...all that blue light (of course)...but i think it was the moment when prem arrived in the nick of time and held heer, the way the red dupatta flew past their faces and when it inched down, the bg music changing to "is des mein hai mera dil"...awesome...brilliant!!! i still can't get over that part...and of course, prem's perfect jaw profile, not to mention the chiseled cheekbones...i hated him a little bit at that moment...😃 and of course heer's incredulous look....*sigh*
her mad search for "mera prem". her final ferocious fight against ratpal -- i remembered the heer who served at prem's hotel and fought off those abusive men with all the strength and indignation her young heart could muster! *fiercely - go heer!!* my, yes...this part made my eyes smart...poor heer...😭
her poor exhautsed mind rationalising what she had seen the previous night, with what she had to do for her family. the sheer beauty of heer warring with the immense sadness while she got ready for that sham of an engagement. her little conversation with her prem-in-the-moon to be her strength. and of course, her plea that he should be her "taaqat, jo dil aur duniya kay beech dhal bann kar khaddi ho jayey." *love how they keep bringing in references to best of the show: prem saying that from that point onwards, heer aur duniya kay beech prem will stand! sigh!* i remembered it too...

of all those moments, i loved most when she defined why prem-heer are better than all the love stories of the world. heer-ranjha, romeo-juliet all died and became famous love stories. prem-heer will have one die, and the other live to finish his life and his responsibilities... despite ravan promising that "tumhey marnay ka shauq hai? i promise, har din tumhari ek mauth hogi" which is so much harder to do. and heer has really done it so far. and that last line: she does'nt know if their love story will ever live forever. "but whatever is mine is yours. and that is why you had to come to me to remind me what i had to do." *i love how they gave us this to tell us that when prem-heer talk to each other with only their eyes, they do hear each other!" E!! I so realized this on my second viewing...and immediately thought that E is surely going to pick up on the reference that their eyes do talk....😃 and u did not disappoint me...that was just so beautiful...to hear it from Prem and then from Heer...awww.....these guys i tell u!!😃

Wow, that was one brilliant post. You analyzed everything is so much detail, it would seem you can become the official critic for the show.

oh...got to hand it to this one...sure as heck was a 'thud' moment!! u know, during this entire segment, cudn't bring myself to hate this guy. u think we are finally cured?

big thing: the background score of 17th was out of this world. there has never been such a perfect blend of story, situation, setting (night time, blue sand, mad spinning lady's troup on the edges, the moon -- perfect, perfect) and music before. (well, actually, there has been. 6/19 was similarly perfect. but this one was amazing.) damnit E!! why did u have to bring that epi here...it's in the past (yeah right)...move on...focus...i just ran back to see that again *thud*....
funny thing is, even though i thought this, the final scene here still took me by surprise! damnit! they've done it again!!! oh, i love this show... 😍 but i loved this one segment soooo badly that i'm gonna do a separate post on it. oh, it was perfect...
k...can u include the first part too...? i liked the way prem carried heer...she looked so perfect in his arms...like she was made to be cuddled in them...*looking around disoriented*..."mein kahan hoon....?" 😃
little thing: so sad that perfection was marred by dubbed voices, though! i was hearing this on wireless headphones and sat up with a start when that horrid voice answered "prem juneja" to the pujari's question to heer! and then, the same voice for the mad spinning lady. *sigh* why did it feel that this was like people putting a little black dot on babies faces to "keep away the evil eye". superstitious twits. why can't we just have perfection for a change?? 😛
so totally agree...but did u notice, prem's wasn't dubbed?...why....

little thing: and it was just as striking that preet tries to apologise to meher for ash in the kitchen scene... another situation that doesn't go well for meet's happiness. preet looking like a baby sniffling when meher catches him in the kitchen... and the graveness on meher's face after he leaves... it's a relief to see a pair who's fumbling with life... unlike the unerring precision with which prem-heer used to do things around each other! 😆
yeah, miss the old preet so much...but thank god they are not trying to recapture the prem-heer moments like they did with harman-meher...yuck. this seems so much more real and touching.
little thing: a moment of harman, looking... clean. 😆 taking over at dad-in-law's office, and already taking flak for it. hmm. well, i still think that he's prem's-bharat. i just wish they quickly show what deal he has made with the devil.. er .. maya.
u know, the jury is still out on that one...although i think harman did what he did to save his family, i don't buy that for one moment that he is not enjoying himself now...
sorry, but i still haven't forgiven him for accusing prem...twice.
in fact, i kinda feel sorry for ash (and confused about her)...she at least stuck with preet even when there was a reversal of fortunes...and then gets dumped...a fine gift for trying to be good...😃 i really want to w&w how she turns out...and yes harman too...
little thing: 'kay, totally didn't like the seashell prediction guy (kodiyon guy?). first he is a bully with everyone around him. except with the "family" who he acts smarmy and chummy with. the worst was his standing aside and smirking when ratpal was abusing heer in the desert. and what is that mass of grey on his face? are they trying for a capt. davy jones look? except the hair that pokes out from underneath his turban is black! 🤣
LOL!! Capt. Davy Jones eh? that guy is probably turning in his watery grave if that is indeed true!! i think there is more to this kodiyon guy (some guys renamed him jugna on the forum 😆LOL!!) another w&w...i liked his prediction about heer....
little thing: started watching this waiting to find out what the ratpal-secret is. and after six episodes we still don't know?? so many heer-tears and we still don't know?? wha....?? and ratpal-mom is getting creepier and creepier... why is she always so... smiling? the only time i admired the character was her reaction when heer threw the jewels on the floor of her room. she acted ... queenly then. for the rest, it's like botox injections don't give her much choice to show expression?
BT is kinda hoping that at this point we really don't care. it shud be enough that he wants revenge and wants to marry heer to achieve it, heer is stuck and prem is coming to help...😃 and truth be told, i think it has worked, coz we are all still in the prem-heer haze to get out and ask that question..trust u to do so!! 😃 K...k...another w&w....

but i have a confession. everytime prem actually came on the screen, i was laughing wildly -- just 'cause i was thinking of the reaction of the forum! (not as my pals say that i was hysterical at seeing him again. no way!) i just couldn't help it. the only moment that i was not hysterical was his entry.
i have another confession. i was tempted to instantly send in an application to take on more responsibilities in my help-prem-into-his-white-shirt-and-roll-up-his-sleevs job. after thinking 'bout the work load for next semester, i refrained. 😆 or was it 'cause my favourite prem-in-black is actually jail-day-prem? hmmm. or was it 'cause as heer screamed for her prem, and they showed him standing on top of that golden dune, smiling his faint smile, and adjusting his coat, i was filled with the urge to shake him madly and hit him hard enough on the upside of his head to make him go ouch! how could he not feel her pain??? good thing they made that segment to be a figment of heer's imagination...

No No No...damnit E (can u tell i like saying that...only when i say that think of those same words coming out in prem's deep voice) *shaking E awake from her daydream*
u need to leave some for the rest of us too...i hereby officaially sign up for "putting-prem-in-black-clothes" duty. u can have the white and all shirts...i'll take the black, thank u!! 😉 we can compare notes...no need to...er....lord over him all by urself!!
before that, the only thing that saved prem from my fury was that when heer finally launched herself at prem, first holding him so tight that it looked like genuine pain on hc's face 😆, and then running her hands over his shoulders, his back frantically, finally to bury her fingers in the hair at the back of his neck, prem's arms almost automatically close as tightly around her.. 😍
*thud*...yes yes so adored that part...the way she was straining to get closed to him....burying herself against that broad chest as if asking him to shield her from the world behind her....*thud* 😍
of course, the other thing that stopped me from giving into my violent tendencies is that like heer looked like she was royalty made for life in the palace, prem looked like he was born to rule the kingdom when he stood like a straight black arrow among the golden sands... i mean, look at this:

a prince. behind him, his army. don't you immediately want to run up, fall at his feet and beg to be considered made his subject??? 🤣 *note the operative word "you" in the above sentence. me? in case they ever have such an script idea involving hc, i've already sent in an application for the role of prem's kodiyon-guy. imagine, prem and me - strategising in the daytime, strategising in the night time. 🤣*

please...in case u didn't know, they don't need another kodiyon person...the one is in cahoots with ratpal...hmm another one of my odd thoughts occured. u think satpal is jealous of the kodi-pal?...k, where was i...yeah, prem doesn't need any stinkin' strategy...(he cud use some once in a while)....and sweetie...his night time is going to be with heer😉...so go back to ironing or sewing buttons on his white shirt or something....😆
said it before, saying it again: love heer's dreams...😍 of course, my heer would've kissed prem. she would've. in fact, i'm convinced that here she did!

but of course, he had to! it was heer's dream! at this rate, what i want is a couple of episodes of just heer dreams... i want it. no, i demand it! and i want it in full disclosure, full technicolour! not just parts where i have to guess what she did. i want it all out in the open and upfront - like when we got the phhandooooooooh - wasn't really sure where to stop putting in the "o"s! and as usual, the lips get soo jealous of the hands having all the fun and get into the action too...
yeah....*sigh* now that prem is back...no need to ask for the dreams...the real thing will be so much better...girl, did u make notes or did that go for a toss as well....u know, with the rest of ur senses....😉

although i must say, why is prem not adoring heer with his eyes, his face, in this vision of hers?
that's coz heer is more focused on her adoration of prem...😃

for an awful moment, i wondered if hc got prem wrong. no! hc never gets prem wrong! so, the script called for it. then, i thought and figured: heer's transplanting what she saw of prem's face when she got rescued last night! then, his face had been puzzled. it was the rest of him that was instinctively bang on track - holding her close, his eyes holding hers even though his mouth went to kiss her hand. in this desperate-hug moment too, the rest of him was "with" heer (and how! 😍). but his face.. was .. blank. and i admitted it to myself. that was not quite right. hc didn't get prem perfectly then. his eyes should've beenpuzzled, but the face shouldn't have been blank. he'd got the night-prem much better.
um.. hc? - a cautionary note for you: while you were away, ag's become totally brilliant. so no more mr. blank guy from you - now you're gonna have to keep up. 😆
you know what i thought? his expressions actually reminded me of the first time prem had seen heer...the same amount of curiosity...the need to know...
it was there when he caught her the night before...and if u notice when heer brought her palm up to his face, he gave a slight movement in acknowledgment, as if his cheek settled against her hand...not straining to get away...
and yet, when the ratpal took heer away, prem just asked who they were. if he had felt what he did, wudn't our prem have marched over there and demanded to know why heer was being dragged? i was a whole lot more confused here...didn't take a lot i know...k, another w&w...gosh, i think i need to start a w&w list...u think i should? and tick them off when we are done? it'd be fun i think....hmmmm😃
little thing: 18th dec gave us just the right little amounts of what we want to know 'bout the rest of the junejas. and just when it looked like the episode was going to end, rather dark, with heer strong in her love for prem but all abandoned and alone without any hope of being saved, instead the episode ended with a torchlight of hope: prem walking up and taking back the little thing which when she first lost it, heer first got her prem. as if stealing it back from heer again😍 to start their finding-themselves-again story all over again.... 😍 *thud - now i'll finish from down here... 😆*

i know...one of the first things that i thought of was that they are going to show them falling in love all over again...can we really ask for more? to get more brilliant and different, yet not so different, scenes....*sigh*....*thud*....k, i joined u 'down here'....😆
said it before, saying it yet again: this show astonishes me in how they keep me on my (mental) toes. they just keep raising the bar on just how they can get me. it's official: this creative team rocks. the actors rock. the story rocks. i love it all. and i'm dying to know what happens next.

highlight of ... the one point five weeks: part 2, 17 dec. seriously. hands-down. no question. if i had the choice of putting up another one, it'd have to be heer's little talk to herself 'bout why what she has to do what she is going to do... absolutely brilliant. and thankfully, in ag's little-girl, woman-in-love voice. *sigh!*
