Rajniesh Duggal, also referred to as 'the silent hero jo baazi maar sakta hai' by Rohit Shetty on Khatron Ke Khiladi, has proved Shetty right by winning the adventure reality show. Rajniesh spoke to us about the win, his strategy on the show and his future projects. Excerpts from the chat:

Nikitin and I knew one of us would winRajniesh competed against Gurmeet Chaudhary and Nikitin Dheer in the finale in South Africa, and defeated both of them. "We shot the winning stunt in South Africa in the first week of March, but we weren't told the results. For almost two-and-a-half months, we waited for the results. Nikitin and I knew that one of us was going to be the winner. Between stunts, and looking at the stunt, you get to know how the person has performed. So, we somewhere knew that Gurmeet was going to be third," he said.

Jo lakshmi hai, wo meri lakshmi ko jayegi Rajniesh has received a prize money of '25 lakh along with a trophy and a car. When we asked him what he plans to do with the prize money, he told us, "I will keep the car in Delhi since I already have a car in Mumbai. My dad will drive the car, and obviously, when I am here, I will drive it. Jo lakshmi hai, woh meri lakshmi, Pallavi (his wife) ko jayegi. She is going to handle it. "

My mind was the strongest there Rajniesh was always the silent guy who observed the game and this is what stood him in good stead. "My whole plan was to go easy. I didn't want to break any bones and get injured in the beginning. I was taking it a day at a time. Initially, I observed the game. But, of course, I wanted to excel after a point. From the fifth-sixth week, I sort of got into the groove. Plus, I haven't been taking part in competitions for the last few years. For instance, Gurmeet and Salman are used to taking part in reality shows. Unka mind tuned hai to contests. I was just getting my mind tuned to the whole contest. The stress levels are quite high and I didn't want stress to affect me. I was just keeping my calm. Actions speak louder than words. I think my mind was the strongest there," he opined.

He added, "I have always been a very sporty and athletic person. I have participated in contests earlier. Since my school days in Delhi, I was very active in racing and I would win races. I have also played sports at college and school level. There has always been a competitive keeda in me. I have participated in Mr India where I won and Mr International, where I stood second. Competition ka mere liye matlab hai, when you have entered it, you have to win it. You try your level best to win it. I was very clear, agar ghusna hai, toh jeetne ke liye, otherwise no point."

Vikram Bhatt gave me a go-ahead Rajniesh told us that having watched the earlier seasons of the show, he knew what was expected of him, but he still had a few doubts. "When they approached me, my only question to Colors was whether I'd have to eat any creatures during any stunt, but they assured me that no such stunts would be there as they did not want to turn prime time viewers off. I also spoke to Vikram Bhatt about whether doing TV is the right thing and he also gave me a go-ahead," he told us.

I don't wish to acknowledge Ajaz Khan After Ajaz Khan was eliminated from the show, he had said that Rajniesh is the weakest contestant. However, Rajniesh said that Ajaz's opinions don't matter to him. "I don't even consider him a contestant. I don't even respect him. Baaki sab mere dost hain. I don't even want to acknowledge him," he said.

Rohit sir was the most even person on the set Recently, it was reported that Rohit Shetty, the host of the show, was biased towards Nikitin, who had acted in Chennai Express. "Nikitin and Salman became my close friends during the show. When we read the article, we were laughing. Aisa kuch bhi nahi tha. Rohit sir was the most even person on the set. Jo disciplined aur self-made aadmi hota hai, woh kabhi cheat nahi karta. He knew Nikitin and Daya sir from before, but we never saw any biased attitude from his end. In fact, Nikitin aur maine pehle se decide karke rakha tha ki trophy humein Andheri mein leke aani hai (Rajniesh and Nikitin stay in Andheri, Mumbai)," said Rajniesh.

On getting a Hanuman-inspired tattoo After it was announced last week that Rajniesh was the winner, he got a tattoo done and also visited Shirdi where he sought Sai Baba's blessings. "I have always been a Hanumanji ka bhakht. Contest se pehle I wanted to get the lines 'bal, buddhi, vidya dehun mohi, harahu kalesh vikaar'. Then I decided to get it after the show. These lines mean 'Give me strength, power, knowledge and take away all my pain and sorrows'," he said, adding, "I thought ki Hanumanji ki jagah unka symbol bana de. I asked the tattoo guy to make a monkey. Whatever I did in the show was stressful monkey business."

On getting over his fears Rajniesh told us that he was quite scared of lizards but after doing stunts with reptiles, he has conquered that fear. " My biggest fear was lizards and now that is gone. I can easily take them in my hand and say 'Chalo, bahar tak chhod ke aata hoon'. Apart from that, there wasn't any fear. They would put you in situations where you have to do many things together which puts you under stress," he said.

Wanted to build an action image Rajniesh says that he is looking forward to work in some action films. " I will start shooting for my film Direct Ishq Ho Gaya in Benaras in mid-June. I have already completed Spark, which is an action film. I wanted to build an action image through this show and that has been achieved." It was also being said that Rajniesh has been offered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but he says, "If things go well, you might see me shaking a leg soon. The channel has asked me, but I have neither confirmed nor rejected the offer. Let's see."
