Nikkhil Arya plays the role of Rudra in the popular soap, Kesar on STAR Plus. Rudra has become a popular character that some love, and some envy! This model turned actor has tried all the looks that suit him and believes in looking his character before playing the role. Nikkhil believes playing Rudra with a lot of grey shades is challenging, know more as he talks to indya.com to share his experience. How did Kesar happen? I was turning down all the offers coming to me for serials. One fine day, Ekta Kapoor called me and offered me this brillaint role and good money too! How is it to play a character like Rudra? It is really exciting to play Rudra. It is a very challenging role which is not at all stagnant. It's great to play the role! If you were the director of Kesar, who would you cast as Rudra? Myself! I am extremely possessive about my character. Are you thinking on joining movies? If I say no, I would be lying! People are offering me… You hairstyle is something that is popular and different... I tried all styles. I play a psycho in the serial right now. So, I do not have too much make-up on and I am trying to look my character. Are you a fashion freak? Yes, I am… I am known for it. I am very conscious about it and I dress up appropriately. What is Nikkhil as a person? I am very frank and upfront. I am what you see. If given a chance, which role would you have played in Kesar? Rudra! Can you tell us about your first project? I did a music video for Pankaj Udas, four years ago. It was a great experience. Facing the camera was nervous but I got the support of my co-actor. Your qualifications... I have finished my M Com You have done a lot of modelling - tell us more. I don't get much time to do modelling now, Kesar takes away much of the time. Ads that you have done so far… I have done ads for products like Raymonds, Airtel, Ponds, Britannia, Godrej and the list goes on! Some say the character played by Kesar, that is Nandini Singh looks older to you, what do you feel about it? I have not heard about this. I don't think so. Your future projects… Nothing as of now. Kesar takes off all my time. What does it take to be an actor? Lots of conviction and confidence. If not an actor you would be... A Businessman, considering I come from that background. Wich is your favourite Channel? HBO and STAR One. Are you seeing someone right now? No What do you plan to do on Valentine's Day? Not yet decided. What is love according to you? I have faith in love.
