i guess you are the right person to give an opinion on this topic, because you are going through a similar situation at the moment... i really admire your patience, all the more if you are financially independent 👍🏼.. because you have the capacity to live on your own but have chosen not to.. hats off to you...👏

I don't mind being honest here because I know we are all friends :)

It does take a lot of patience in such a situation . You really have to be strong and be able to wait it out. But luckily for me I have the support of his family especially his mother who is simply amazing. Even if both people are financially independent I don't think eloping is a good idea. I don't think a new relationship should be started on such a note. Even if I'm upset by my parents as a child it is my duty to make them understand my love and be positive that that will happen.

yes kanika ...we all are friends here...

very true... personally, i too would not advocate eloping... but again... mine was an arranged marriage and also, i never had any boy friend ...so , hurting parents was always out of question...😊

Hello 😊 Veena. I am Chloe and your question: '...is love worth leaving your family for?' really interested me.

I feel that when family object to someone you love. You must immediately try to find the reason your family is opposing because they are the people that know you best. However, after they give you the reasons, you must, as an individual assess independently whether the reasons can be rectified. If your family gives reasons like age and status in society, then it is time they changed their thinking because that is not how you measure a person's worth in love. Nothing is worth leaving family, but nothing is worth leaving love for either, especially when you know it true and all the problems can be rectified.
Family must understand and you must convince them... I would never recommend leaving your family for love, unless they wish for that.

This must not be happen... If it is then no jee le zara only pashta le zara on there decisions.
