awesome post...well...i can only say one thing...DV told saachi that he wud return the ring once he wud talk to his parents but he returned it in a hurry wen he saw potential risk in their relationship after he came to know of PE...
and saachi...well she is already proving herself unworthy of the ring...even though DV assured her while gving the ring that no matter wat happens she must remember that he loves only her and wants to marry only her...she still went ahead with her mistrusts and almost as u said threw the ring on his face wen truth came out...

i hope first the CVs shud learn to respect a ring given by a bf to his gf, and then shud teach their female protagonist to respect that ring...
