India. Later months of 1938. Saanchi Roy Chaudhuri, 19 year old daughter of an Indian archeologist fell in love with a British soldier, Stephen Evans. Things were not easy for them and destiny made it more difficult. Her traditional zamindar grandfather planned her marriage with his friend's only son. But fate had something different for her. On the very day of marriage the groom got killed by village dacoits. Her grandfather forced her to marry his trusted employee's younger son, Dhruv, who was seven years younger to her.
Will the forced marriage work? Will Saanchi ever accept Dhruv as her husband whole hearted? Will Dhruv accept a wife, who is seven years older to him? What will happen to Stephen? Will Saanchi and Stephen be able to free themselves from the shackles of society and fortune? Will they ever unite?
It is a periodic love story which deals with cultures, superstitions, love, sacrifice and humanity.
This is the preamble. Will continue here if I get enough responses. Without encouragement writing doesn't comes to me. đ đł
