Ok I've not watched the show for the last couple of weeks, just read the update for Thursday. And here are my thoughts: I actually think I can see a lot of parallals to Neevs mistrust of Prachi towards the beginning of the show and Prachi's mistrust of Neev right now.
For example, when after the Inder fiasco, Prachi tried to fool Neev a couple of times by making him believe that she preferred money over love, at the beginning Neev didn't believe her at all, but once she had that fake engagement, he started getting doubtful about her intentions. Whose fault was it? What gave the right Prachi to make a decision for Neevs life without even consulting him? She should have confided in him, but I cannot give Neev the benefit of doubt either, afterall Prachi was his friend for 20 years, he should've trusted her.
I feel its the same situation now, except the other way round. Neev pretended to be evil, or looked like it, and did so many things. At first Prachi did not believe that Neev could be evil, but I guess after seeing all the mounting evidence regarding the gun, she started getting doubts. Again what gave Neev the right to investigate in the Michi case without even consulting Prachi or telling her about his plans? Plus Neev did his best to act unfaithful. Again Prachi was also at fault for not trusting him too.
I think that some people are more sympathetic to Neev's plight partly because Prachi's actions appeared to have more fatal consequences than Neevs , when Neev mistrusted Prachi, it turned out to be good for her, as she found her true soulmate in Milind, but when Prachi mistrusted Neev, it lead to her slapping Neev right before his death.
But technically speaking, I feel both of them have made the same mistake of not trusting the other and so they both are equally to blame, regardless of the consequences which can change if people work on it. Had Neevs mistrust of Prachi in the beginning had lead her to live a miserable life in absolute poverty, would people still be as sympathetic to Neevs plight?
So I feel that if Neev can be forgiven for his error of judgement regarding Prachi, then Prachi should be given the same courtesy regarding Neev. Why do we hold Prachi at a higher pedestal??? She is not God, she is just human, and her mistake was nothing but that.
Now if she'd actually murdered Neev, it would've been a different story.
