In my opinion the guy is the best actor we have in the tellyworld. But like any other normal person, there are many days when his performance is superlative and a few others when his performance is lacking in some respect. I thought we can list out the scenes we think are his best and his worst. These are in relation to the high standards he has set for himself and in no way demean an actor of his calibre, for even his worst performance may be better than most actors.
Here is my list.
His best (these are superlative scenes):
1. His breakdown in his bedroom after the tiff with Neev, following the cliff declaration, when he brought down the curtains for the first time.
2. The splendid display of emotions on his face when Prachi told him she was leaving him.
3. His showdown in front of the holy fire when he thought Prachi got Suki married to Saket and his breakdown later when Suki told him that Prachi was the one who made her see reason.
4. His blasting Prachi at the waterfall after Suki wedding and his repentance when he knew about Prachi's love for him.
5. His blasting Prachi at the chawl on the morning after Prachi delcared herself to be Ritwik's mom.
6.His drunken showdown in his bedroom after the party in which he abused Prachi. He brings down the curtain yet again and then passes out.
7.The pain he displayed seeing Prachi weeping helplessly before her God during Ritwik's kidnapping and the pain and frustration he displayed later in their room when he thought she was merely using him.
8. The showdown with Baba after their wedding anniversary celebrations where he tells him why he wants to divorce Prachi.
9. The entire beach scene where he first confesses how much he misses Prachi, then rebukes her for betraying him, then looks confused when she tries to tell him she was lying and finally the frustration and anger for being taken for a ride.
10. His pain and guilt hearing Prachi's rantings at the court during their divorce trial.
11. His breakdown at the court where he declares Prachi's innocence and prosecutes himself.
12.His breakdown at the chawl house in front of Baba where he is apprehensive of having lost Prachi altogether.
His worst (by his own standards)
1.His apology to Prachi after she returns to the SM only to leave thinking Ayesha is getting engaged.
2.Yesterday's scene, where he confesses his love to Prachi.
Now the fact that the guy has had just a couple of off-days in the entire span of over one year in the serial truly shows just how good an actor he really is.
