JC, sorry for that long comment, but then that chapter was one of your longest, wasn't it? Coming to your observations on my comments, I get the feeling that Kavya has found out that little surprise about Anjali and has used that to blackmail her into staying back. She did not speak to Prachi because she did not want her voice to betray that she was staying back on coercion. I am wondering whether this little secret of hers has also something to do with her supposed relationship with Milsi. By any chance is the girl suffering from multiple personality disorder? (does sound pretty ridiculous even to me). 🤣Opti dear...you are way off hun. give up thinking such complicated things. With 4 main characters and a bunch of others whom i focus on a great deal too...i really don't have the courage to build up something complicated for each of the characters. The story is simpler than you think. And in the whole entire FF...there is only one or at most two villains.
What has been puzzling me for some time is why did she leave the college in one year? Not a big secret. Did she discontinue her studies or did she take a transfer to another university? She continued her studies elsewhere. Was this little secret connected to that too? it may or maynot be. Thats all i can say right now and i am not really trying to be secretive.

Chapter 35 – Memories: Some Sweet Some Sour

***Disclaimer: The chapter deals with sensitive issues. Read at your own risk***

Neev kicked the door to their room and walked in still holding his wife close to himself. He took a step in and leaned on the door closing it and gently released her and she planted her foot down. But she didn't move, nor did she look up at him and neither did she remove her hands from around his neck. Neev slowly bent down and kissed her cheek, a little cautious at first. Then he turned her and kissed her other cheek. He carefully assessed her face. She still had her gaze fixed somewhere on the floor. The slight blush on her face was starting to match the color of her outfit. His heart skipped a beat as he remembered the first time he had seen her walking out of the church with an expression similar to the one she had on right now. She looked so serene, so beautiful, with traces of a smile threatening to break through the perfection of her face. He gently approached her lips and she didn't flinch or move away. And he place the most gentlest of kiss on her lips. Then he kissed her again, a little deeper and it lingered on for a few seconds and as he pulled back she moved with him. He found her looking directly at him and unlike the stern gazes that he used to get from her until a month ago, this was much softer. If he wasn't mistaken there was a hint of shyness in them. She took a few steps back and turned away from him.

Her heart was racing and she was breathing erratically. She was nervous and only she knew why. He walked up behind her and placed a kiss on the nape of her neck. He traced a finger from the top of her neck down her bare shoulders and caressed her arms with the back of his fingers as he placed kisses on her bare back. She wasn't sure if she was really ready for this but she didn't stop him. They moved towards the bed; which half of the bed didn't really matter at this moment. She didn't know how many times he had kissed her and how many times she had returned those kisses but she was engulfed in his arms with her back to his chest when he stopped abruptly.

She opened her eyes and turner her head back at him. His shirt was unbuttoned and her gown was unzipped. He slowly zipped her gown back and she rolled on her back. He looked at her with a mix of confusion and concern. He gently brought his arms to her face and with the back of his hands wiped away some wetness from the side of her eyes. Had she been crying? He pulled a blanket over her and asked, "Ayesha, you are shivering. Are you ok?" She didn't answer him as she didn't know if she was. "Go to sleep," he said placing a kiss on her forehead and he got up from the bed. But she held his hand. "Sleep with me" she requested. He was a little surprised and so was she because she didn't know that's what she would say when she held his hand. He slipped back into the blanket and she hugged him. She slept to the rhythm of his beating chest and though he didn't understand what had just happened, he didn't question. He let her be and fell asleep.

Sometime during the night, Ayesha woke up and was a little startled when she found herself in Neev's arms. Then she remembered what happened and a sad smile crossed her face. She disentangled herself and went to the bathroom and changed into her PJs. She came back to bed and slipped back in with Neev resuming her position on his chest. She slept peacefully. She woke up again early in the morning even before the alarm went off. She switched off the alarm and got ready for the day. When she came out from the shower and was dressed, Neev still hadn't woken up and she was glad about it. She sat down on her desk and wrote a note, then kept it by his side and quietly left.

Neev woke up and looked around. He was late for work and he didn't find Ayesha in the room. Had she left without him today? What had happened to her last night? He thought everything had been so perfect. She was happy and that made him happy. It had been a beautiful evening. They had talked, laughed and danced and they had kissed. They had gotten closer to each other than ever before. She wanted him and he knew that but suddenly she started to shiver. She had curled up into a ball against his body and she was holding his hands so tightly that it was cutting off the circulation in his arms. He was even more surprised to find her eyes drenched in tears and she hadn't even realized what she was doing. And then she had asked him to sleep next to her. All this seemed strange to him and he didn't know what to make of it. And now she was gone without saying a word. He noticed a small note on the pillow next to him. It read:

"Good Morning, Neev. Sorry I had to leave before you woke up. I am taking a day off from work. I'll see you in the evening.

P.S. read the last entry in my diary"

Neev got up and walked over to the small desk in the room and Ayesha's diary was laying on top. She had left a pen inside the diary marking the last page. He opened it and read:

I wanted to thank you for gifting me the most wonderful birthday of my life. But I realize now that I could probably never tell you how much it meant to me. I don't really know what I ever did to have you in my life. I am sure it was a prayer that I have forgotten now. You must be wondering what happened last night. I wish I could explain myself. I wish I could share with you every sorrow that I have kept locked inside for ages. I will only ask for patience from you. I know that I don't express myself as often as I should. But my silence should only convey that three words are not enough to say what I feel.

-Ayesha

Neev was still confused about her behavior last night. And where had she gone this early in the morning if not to work? But at least this was better than her silence. She had written in not too clear words that she loved him more than she could express in words. Yet she couldn't bring herself to share her misery with him. He would wait for her, he told himself. He only wished that it would be a short wait. He wanted to start afresh, moving away from the past of both their lives and looking only towards a happy future with his wife.

He got dressed and went to work but he would keep glancing at the empty seat next to him. He was surprised that he had gotten used to going to work with her everyday so much so that now he was missing her presence in his car. But soon he got busy with the work at the office. And it wasn't until that afternoon, when he received a call, that he started to worry about Ayesha. The call was from a Dr. Ashwini Gupta.

Dr. A: "Hello Mr. Shergill, I am Dr. Ashwini Gupta. I am calling on behalf of your wife, Ayesha."

Neev: "Ayesha?? What happened to her? Is she alright?"

Dr. A: "Mr. Shergill, there is no need to be alarmed. Ayesha is fine. She has been my client for the past few weeks. And she wanted me to discuss a few things with you. If you could find the time, please meet with me today before 5:30 pm."

Neev: "Sure doctor. I'll make the time."

Neev was worried as he took down the address and phone number. Why was Ayesha seeing a doctor? Why hadn't she said anything to him? Was she sick? Was this the reason for her strange behavior? The thoughts didn't allow him to concentrate on work. He couldn't sit in his office anymore. He walked out and postponed all his meetings and work. He was headed to Dr. Ashwini's clinic.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Milind was driving like a mad man. He couldn't believe his carelessness. He had to submit a very important document today at the bank and he had left it at home. He was driving back to retrieve it before the bank closed for the day. And he couldn't even remember where he had kept it in the house. He was sure it was in his home office where he must have signed it and tossed among the other project files. He sprinted into his home and walked straight to the office. Asha tai was surprised to see him but she was concerned about other things right now.
Asha tai: "Milind achcha hua tu aagaya. Main abhi tere ko phone karne waali thi. Voh Prachi..."
Milind: "Tai, abhi nahi. Main ek zroori file lene aaya tha bus. Jo bhi hai shaam ko bataana." Saying this he walked into his office to search for the file. It wasn't on the table top so he went through the drawers. He finally found it laying on the floor under the table. It must have fallen off and that is why he didn't notice it. But as he bent down to pick it up, he noticed something in the last drawer that he had opened. He picked up the file and the photograph that had caught his eye. It was a group photograph of the graduating class of 2004 from St. Andrews. It was Ayesha's and he had gotten it from her some years ago in hopes of finding Anjali's face among them. But now he knew why he was never able to identify her. She had left the college in a year and never graduated with them. He was about to throw away the photograph. There was no use of it anymore, but he noticed something and decided to take a closer look. And when he did, his mouth was left open in shock. He blinked a few times to make sure but there she was…his eyes weren't mistaken. An amused smile crept on his face and he took the photograph and the file and walked out.
Milind: "Asha tai! Asha tai!" he called out and he heard her reply from the kitchen. He walked over.
Milind: "tai, Prachi ke baare mein kuch keh rahi thi aap? Kahaan hai voh? Aur Ritwik ka shor bhi nahi sunaayi de raha?
Asha tai: "Achcha toh ab tujhe der nahi ho rahi? Jaa nahi bataati."
Milind: "Tai please, dekho mujhe sach mein der ho rahi hai. Bataana hai to jaldi bataao"
Asha Tai: "Voh dono shopping ke liye nikle the. Ab tak nahi laute. 2 ghante se upar ho gaya hai. Mujhe chinta ho rahi hai kyunki voh Sukriti ko saath lekar gayi hai."
Milind: "Tai aapne Sukriti ko saath kyun bheja. Voh ab Ritwik aur Sukriti dono ka khayal kaise rakhegi. Aap saath kyun nahi gaye?"
Asha Tai: "Aye hai, tujhe toh badi fikr ho rahi apni biwi ki. Aur meri bhoodi haddiyon ka kya? Subha meri tabiyat kuch theek nahi thi. Isliye nahi gayi unke saath. Aur Sukriti ko kya sambhalna? Ab voh pehle se kaafi behetr hai. Chaahe kuch bolti na ho, lekin hum jo kehte hai voh sunti hai aur samajhti bhi hai. Aur Prachi ko pasand bhi karti hai. Prachi jaisa kehti hai vaise hi karti hai. Usse Sukriti se koi dikhat nahi hui hogi. Lekin pata nahi voh log ab tak aaye kyun nahi."
Milind: "Tai, ek taraf tum kehti ho ki usse koi problem nahi ho rahi hogi, aur doosri taraf fikr bhi tum hi karti ho. Mujhe filhaal bank jaana hai. Voh log aajayenge toh mujhe phone kar dena."
He left in a hurry saying this and when he got into the car he put the photograph into the dashboard and zoomed out of the driveway.
Neev arrived at the address and walked into the clinic. Dr. Ashwini was a marriage counselor. Neev wanted to feel better since he figured Ayesha was probably not ill physically. But he couldn't still understand why Ayesha would come to a marriage counselor alone.
Dr. A: "Mr. Shergill, please come in" she said welcoming him.
Neev: "Hi Dr. Gupta, please call me Neev." Neev smiled masking the concern in him.
Dr. A: "Neev, your wife was right about you. You do have an infectious smile," she replied smiling back at him."
Neev: "Thankyou. I thought Ayesha would be here. Didn't you say that this was about her."
Dr. A: "Yes, she was here this morning. But she left. She didn't want to be here when I talked to you."
Neev: "Talk to me about what?"
Dr. A: "Neev, I want you to know that normally I wouldn't do this. But for Ayesha I am making an exception because she gave me her consent and also because she believes that she would do much better if you knew. Now before anything else, I know you must be uncomfortable since I am a stranger to you and what we are about to discuss is something very personal."
Neev was getting restless but he still managed to keep a smile on his face that hopefully didn't betray his discomfort.
Dr. A: "Ayesha first came to see me the day after your first divorce hearing in the court. And I gather that you didn't know that she was coming here."
Neev: "No I didn't," he said slightly disappointed.
Dr. A: "I primarily do marriage counseling or family counseling and usually couples come to see me together. But Ayesha convinced me to take her as a patient. She explained to me that the problem in your marriage was really with her and not with you and therefore she felt that she should be the one to get some counseling. Though I didn't agree with her then, as she told me more about you and her own life, I started to understand why she felt that way."
Neev was listening patiently but he didn't really like the fact that Ayesha was blaming herself for the state of their relationship. It was true that he had been more forthright about his feelings but how easily had she forgotten the things she did for him. He made a mental note to clear that misconception when he sees her.
Dr. A: "Neev, slowly Ayesha was opening up and possibly for the very first time in her whole life she shared her problems with someone. And she was trying to prepare herself to tell you a few things that she felt is imperative for you to know. But before she was really ready…last night happened."
Neev looked at her slightly shocked.
Dr. A: "I am her therapist Mr. Shergill. Its understandable that she would share this with me. Anyway, that was the reason she came to see me this morning. She felt that she really needed to tell you asap about her life and she just couldn't bring herself to say it. So she asked me to share that information with you."
Neev stood up startling Dr. Ashwini. She too got up from her chair as he turned to leave. "Mr. Shergill, please…" she tried to stop him. Neev was angry. "If she has something to tell me, then she can do so herself," he said without turning back. "I am not asking her for any explanations. She is the one who wants to tell me something. Then she should also have the courage to say it to me. I don't want a third person between us." He walked towards the door and was turning the knob when he was stopped by her words. "She is not a coward you know...if you love her, which I think you do, please listen". He turned around but didn't move from his spot.
Dr. A: "You won't be helping her if you try to confront her about this. Believe me Neev, she knows that she should be the one to tell you this. And she had been preparing to tell you. But this morning, the way she came in here…as her therapist and well wisher I wouldn't advise you to put her in any more mental stress."
Neev slowly came back and sat down in the chair.
A half hour later, Neev left the doctor's office and he drove straight to the Church. He didn't find her there though the priest did tell him that she was there earlier and had just left. He didn't know where else to look for her so he went back home thinking that she probably returned too. But she hadn't. She was instead staring her dry eyes into the vast sea sitting alone on a beach. She sat for hours not letting thoughts or feelings invade her. She let the waves calm her senses. Then when the sun started to take a bath in the sea, she got up and dusted off the sand from her body and went home hoping that Dr. Ashwini had told Neev everything.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Milind was headed to Shah mansion. Asha tai had called him to tell him that Prachi, Sukriti and Ritwik were in Shah mansion. Their car had broke down on their way back from shopping and Shah mansion was close so Prachi had taken Sukriti and Ritwik there. She had also wanted to see her mother. Milind didn't like the fact that Sukriti was in Shah mansion again. He never wanted his sister to enter that house. And as soon as he had heard he had decided to bring them back immediately. Normally he would have been angry at Prachi for taking his sister there. But today he didn't feel like getting angry.

PL welcomed him with sweets when he came and unfortunately he didn't have an excuse to make a hasty exit. He had to sit there and make pleasantries. Mostly the discussion had been about Ritwik. PL had mentioned that there had been considerable change in Ritwik in this short period of time. He was maturing and she too mentioned that he should be sent to school soon. Prachi still had the same reply as before. When they were ready to leave, PL decided to pack some of her famous dhoklas for them and honestly, Milind was starting to love them too. Milind turned to Prachi and said, "aye chotti, chal der ho rahi hai". Prachi got up and went to get Ritwik's sweater and hat but stopped short suddenly and turned back.

Prachi: "What did you say?"

Milind: "I said we are getting late. Hurry up. Asha tai must be waiting for us at dinner."

Prachi breathed again, she had probably imagined it. There was no way he remembered. How could he remember now?

Milind suppressed an urge to laugh out loud as Prachi slowly turned around. PL came back with the packed dhoklas and Milind took it from her. "Maa please aap mujhe yeh battaiye ki yeh chashmish chotti se yeh vali Prachi kab bani?", Milind asked in loud enough voice that Prachi heard him. She turned around, her face turning all sorts of colors in embarrassment. Milind couldn't hold his laughter any longer and PL joined him.

Prachi: "Milind!!! That was such a long time ago. And I don't braid my hair anymore. How can you still call me that. And how did you remember?" Milind took out the photograph from his pocket and showed it to Prachi.

Milind: "Now I can see that you decided to get a hair cut and stopped desecrating your hair by making these braids but what did you do to your beautiful glasses?" Milind's apparently thought something was very funny. "I know you aren't wearing contacts."

Prachi: "Oh ya and how do you know that." Prachi answered unhumored. "You haven't been staring at my eyes have you?" Milind was slightly taken aback. And Prachi immediately regretted what came out of her mouth. Why had she said that. "I got laser surgery done", she added quickly not really wanting an answer to her previous question.

Prachi: "Milind, don't call me chotti anymore," she said as she got into his car with Ritwik and Sukriti sitting in the back.

Milind: "Well don't lie to me anymore," he said a little too serious. "I don't like lies."

Prachi: "What are you talking about?"

Milind: "I asked you twice and you told me that we had never met before." Prachi's heart was pounding. What else did he remember? After a few moments of silence Prachi gulped and said "I didn't want you to remember me as the chashmish chotti. I went to the trouble of looking different. I never want to revisit that phase of my life." Prachi was being honest about not wanting to think about the past but the reason she gave was not correct. She had never really cared about her appearance. It was her mother and somewhat of coercion from Anjali that had led to Prachi's transformation. No wonder Milind didn't recognize her. She did look a lot different from when Milind had first seen her.

It was the first day of college for her and she was being harassed for her appearance by a bunch of brats when Milind had stepped in. Though she later found out that Milind had stepped in because the guy teasing her was an arch rival, she still fell for him that very moment. It was quite a crush. She admired him secretly. But at some point that crush had turned to some thing very real. As she had observed him over the days, weeks, and months he had become more human from the filmy hero type image that she had given him that first day. But her feelings too had changed with time. She kept finding new qualities in him to love everyday. Milind and she rarely ever spoke directly. But the few times that they did, he would always point out that she never thanked him that first day. And till today she hadn't thanked him. She also had never told him her name. He would only call her chashmish chotti.

Milind on the other hand was remembering the first time he had seen her and taken notice immediately. He asked, "Why did you come to chawl that day?"

Prachi confused by the question: "What day?"

Milind: "The day I had that fight in college for you."

Prachi: "oh ya, I remember coming, to your house. Your dad wasn't feeling well the previous night when he left from our house. So I wanted to see if he was ok."

Milind let that sink into him. She had come to see his sick father? That day he had no idea that she was Prachi Shah, daughter of the Inder Shah for whom his dad worked. She didn't look like she was Prachi Shah. She was a simple looking girl in a salwar with two braids and glasses. It was slightly drizzling that morning and the muddy street was slippery. Milind wasn't aware of this at that time, but Prachi was returning from his house and running to her car that was parked outside the chawl when she noticed a small puppy stuck in a puddle of water and mud. There was a car coming towards it and the puppy was almost drowning in the water. She had immediately dashed in front of the vehicle and the driver slammed the breaks and his car whirled off and hit a pole near by. The driver had come out and spun a yarn of curses at the girl while she quietly bent down and picked up the puppy. "Yeh mar jaata" she said softly. The driver looked exasperated. "Yeh mar jaata??? YEH!!! mar jaata?? Are abhi main mar jaata toh?? Tum mar jaati toh??? Insaan ki jaan se jyaada keemti hai kya kutte ki jaan? Aur meri gaadi ka kya? Is laawaris kutte aur tum jaise paagal ladki ki vajah se mera kitna nuksaan ho gaya?" The driver continued to yell at her until she told him calmly that she will get his car fixed. She took the puppy with her and walked towards her car. Milind had been watching the scene until she walked away. Then he remembered that he had gone to get medicine for his father and headed home. But that girl who had lept in front of a car to save a puppy, had remained in his head. Then he saw her again the same day in college, being harassed, and though he usually didn't get involved in other people's brawls, he felt the need to protect her.

She was still the unusual personality that he had seen that day. He couldn't figure her out then and her couldn't do it now. But he did notice that marked difference in her confidence. She was no longer the meek, soft spoken girl that he had seen in college. It probably also had to do with her appearance he thought. But she was altogether a different Prachi. Yet the same thing that had made him stop at the road side and watch her interaction with that angry driver was drawing him to her today. And he almost didn't want to resist that attraction.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ayesha came home and found out that Neev was working in the outhouse. Prachi had come with Ritwik and Sukriti and Neev didn't want to be disturbed by the noises. But the truth was that Neev didn't want PL or Prachi to see that he was upset. Ayesha was now walking towards the outhouse unsure of what she would say and how he would react. She found Neev in one of the bed rooms. He was laying with his hand covering his face.
Ayesha: "Neev!" she said softly trying to see if he was sleeping.
Neev looked up and immediately his face showed exactly what Ayesha had not wanted to see.
Ayesha: "Neev please don't look at me like that. I don't want sympathy."
Neev sat up and carefully thought about what he could say to her.
Neev: "You could have told me."
Ayesha: "I would have but then last night…I didn't want that to happen again."
Neev: "I am sorry."
Ayesha: "For what? You didn't do anything wrong."
Neev: "I shouldn't have.."
Ayesha: "Neev, don't say that. You didn't force me. I wanted to…but..the memories were just too painful. Neev, I've been scared for life. I just don't know how to move on." Ayesha felt the dam on her emotions about to explode. She walked up to the bed and sat down next to him. "How could he do that to me Neev. I trusted him….and he took advantage of me."
Neev grabbed the bed sheets in his fist and bunched them. He felt the anger boiling inside him but he didn't want to show it to Ayesha. She needed to talk right now and he was going to listen.
Ayesha: "How do you do that to a child, Neev? How could he…he left me incapable of trusting others. He left me incapable of loving people. How could he do that to me? I used to think of him like a father."
Neev felt sick in the stomach. When Dr. Ashwini had told him bluntly that Ayesha was molested as a child and that was the reason she had remained so closed up and reserved all her life, it had hit him like bricks. He would have never thought Ayesha was victim to such a heinous crime. He felt sick to even be a man right now. Whoever that **** was he would rot in the deepest hole in hell. If Neev ever met the guy, he was sure he would kill him. But Ayesha had kept this hidden from the world for so many years. She had let it eat at her. She had lived with the horrific reality alone. She had had to cope with it alone. Neev felt like hugging Ayesha, but he didn't because she was still speaking.
Ayesha: "I trusted him so completely Neev and he took things from me that I'll never get back. He took my innocence, he took my childhood. He ruined me. He broke my trust and he broke me. He broke me so irreversibly. I'll never be whole again Neev."
Neev couldn't take it anymore. Ayesha had been screaming her anguish. He wanted to comfort her but just didn't know how. He was good at making jokes, flirting with girls. He knew how to make people feel special but to wipe away someone's pain that was so deep set in their soul…he had never been in such a situation. What could he say or do that would make things alright. He slowly put his arm around her shoulder and she leaned her head on his.
Ayesha: "Why did it happen to me, Neev. What did I ever do to deserve this." She put her arm around his neck, hugging him and soaking his shirt with her tears.
Neev: "No one deserves it Ayesha. But the world is full of it."
Ayesha: "Do you remember that blind girl who was inviting me to her wedding. She was raped. And I was the one who helped her to regain her lost dignity. Imagine she finds out my current state. She'd think I am a hypocrite…giving her words of wisdom when I can't even look at my own wounds."
Neev: "You are not a hypocrite and you are not weak. You have made something of yourself when the odds were against you. You didn't let anything set you back. And everyone has their way of coping with things Ayesha. But from now on, if you let me, I can be the best friend that you didn't have all these years. I don't know what else I can offer you but the shoulder on which you have your head resting right now. You can soak it anytime you like." Ayesha looked up and chuckled a little. She wiped her tears.
Ayesha: "Neev, do you still love me…the same"
Neev: "You did not just ask me that!"
Ayesha: "I am sorry…forget it…I just…never mind. Lets go, I think PL is going to be waiting for us for dinner." She grabbed his hand and started to pull him off the bed.
Neev: "Are you sure you are ok? We can stay here some more if you like."
Ayesha: "No, I don't want to. I am fine. Lets go."
The entire way back to the main mansion, Ayesha held Neev' s hand. She didn't let go once until they walked in and noticed PL by the dinner table.
Please leave honest comments. I expect that from all of you. 😃
Milind: "Tai please, dekho mujhe sach mein der ho rahi hai. Bataana hai to jaldi bataao" I am really getting late. Tell me if you want to tell me.
Asha Tai: "Voh dono shopping ke liye nikle the. Ab tak nahi laute. 2 ghante se upar ho gaya hai. Mujhe chinta ho rahi hai kyunki voh Sukriti ko saath lekar gayi hai."
They went shopping but its been over 2 hours. I am worried because she took Sukriti with her.
Milind: "Tai aapne Sukriti ko saath kyun bheja. Voh ab Ritwik aur Sukriti dono ka khayal kaise rakhegi. Aap saath kyun nahi gaye?" why did you send Sukriti with them. Now she has to take care of both Ritwik and Sukriti. Why didn't you go with her?
Asha Tai: "Aye hai, tujhe toh badi fikr ho rahi apni biwi ki. Someone is worried for his wife. Aur meri bhoodi haddiyon ka kya? And what about my old bones. Subha meri tabiyat kuch theek nahi thi. I wasn't feeling well this morning. Isliye nahi gayi unke saath. That's why I couldn't go with them. Aur Sukriti ko kya sambhalna? And what is there to care for Sukriti. Ab voh pehle se kaafi behetr hai. She is doing much better than before Chaahe kuch bolti na ho, lekin hum jo kehte hai voh sunti hai aur samajhti bhi hai. Even if she doesn't speak, she hears and understands what we are saying. Aur Prachi ko pasand bhi karti hai. And she seems to like Prachi a lot. Prachi jaisa kehti hai vaise hi karti hai. She does exactly as she is told. Usse Sukriti se koi dikhat nahi hui hogi. Prachi wouldn't be having any trouble from Sukriti Lekin pata nahi voh log ab tak aaye kyun nahi."But why have they not returned as yet?
Milind: "Tai, ek taraf tum kehti ho ki usse koi problem nahi ho rahi hogi, aur doosri taraf fikr bhi tum hi karti ho. You are the one telling me there is nothing to worry about and you are the one worrying at the same time. Mujhe filhaal bank jaana hai. Voh log aajayenge toh mujhe phone kar dena." I have to go to the bank now. Call me when they come home.
"aye chotti, chal der ho rahi hai". Hey "Chotti" (braids) lets go its getting late.
"Maa please aap mujhe yeh battaiye ki yeh chashmish chotti se yeh vali Prachi kab bani?", Maa please tell me when this "chashmish chotti" became this Prachi?
"Yeh mar jaata" He would have died.
"Yeh mar jaata??? YEH!!! mar jaata?? Are abhi main mar jaata toh?? What if I died right now? Tum mar jaati toh??? What if you had died? Insaan ki jaan se jyaada keemti hai kya kutte ki jaan? Is human life less important than a dog's Aur meri gaadi ka kya? And what about my car. Is laawaris kutte aur tum jaise paagal ladki ki vajah se mera kitna nuksaan ho gaya?" Because of a stray dog and a crazy girl like you I have to endure so much
I still prefer Neesha to Michi in your ff JC! Their story's just more interesting. It was so sad 😭 I think you did full justice to that part. I'm glad Milind's starting to notice little things about Prachi. He'll probably be thinking Anjali who? after the next few parts. 😆 Thanks for the long update! 🤗 🤗 🤗
JC!! 😃 *Okay DONE!
Part 1...Neesha...👏JC...I like call myself the self proclaimed queen of romance😆😉 but from this moment, right now the title...Its yours hun!!! TOTALLY AND UTTERLY yours because you deserve it and I've not even read the other bits yet....😳
god...this line just got me...But my silence should only convey that three words are not enough to say what I feel.
PERFECT, perfect and just perfect...I just cant believe how well you understand Ayesha and can write about her...👏 JC...
I just loved it...I dont know what other word to use besides perfect but another one that comes to mind is BEAUTIFUL...I just loved the fact that they didn't have to make love but everything about their actions was perhaps more intimate and romantic and amazing than anything...
Okay...I'm gona stop gushing and start reading the rest....plus..Mini prediction...Can Ayesha not have children? and I promise I haven't read the other bits or posts....
Part 2 Milind-Asha Tai
😆Asha Tai: "Aye hai, tujhe toh badi fikr ho rahi apni biwi ki. Aur meri bhoodi haddiyon ka kya?
How do you think of these things hun??? LOL...you have old ladies all fifured out man!!
OOo did he see Prachi in the picture???😳
Part 3 Neev-Doc
Okay not too sure about my prediction now...so will refrain from saying anything regarding what is bothering Ayesha but one things that struck me during this part was....
"If she has something to tell me, then she can do so herself," he said without turning back. "I am not asking her for any explanations. She is the one who wants to tell me something. Then she should also have the courage to say it to me. I don't want a third person between us."
Because I do not yet know what the secret is...I cant comment on whether she should or shouldn't have told him herself but when Neev says this I both feel for him and also am wondering whether he knows Ayesha yet... I dont know whether that was your intention but I could just be reading into it, but I quite liked it...I kind of want her to be the one to tell her and I think I understand Neev's anger....but on the other hand...he should have understood that it must be something that she cannot...but I think the a greater part of me wanted her to tell him...
Part 4 Milind-Prachi
AWWWWWWWWW😳 How cute is Prachi...I LOVE her more now so than ever...OO he remembers her atleast thats something...and gosh this girl...visiting Baba...😊, just adorable, the puppy as well...just lovely...this part...Prachi gulped and said "I didn't want you to remember me as the chashmish chotti. I went to the trouble of looking different. I never want to revisit that phase of my life."
Really felt for her, whatever the reasons for her transformation might be...
This part for me was all about Prachi and why I love her😳😊...though we did get to see a different side to Milind, more playful and easy going...Liked that too
Part 5 Neesha
JC...I really dont know what to say...because I dont think my words can justify what that part made me feel...but I have to say your writing in that last part was truly commendable...
I have to point out a couple things that stood out for me and really just broke my heart reading...I'll never be whole again Neev and Ayesha: "Neev, do you still love me…the same"
JC...I'm just full of admiration about how you handled it and I really hope you realise how absolutely stunning this was.👏
Both of them were just beautiful and just....like I said, I really dont have words...
Only thing I stand by...is probably that she should have told him, but I can also appreciate how hard that would have been...and this is only my opinion...
THANK YOU JC...😊 that was just amazing and I think as of now, my personal favourite chpt...
JC..... 👏 👏
Couple of things that i really enjoyed here..
1.Neev and Ayeesha - Ayeesha's pain was so palpable that it hurts to even think about it!! Her mind is willing to go the distance and share that special intimacy with Neev but her heart has become a barrier for her to step over the threshold.
The scars never go away even after you have passed that point in time when it had happened. The deep scars of molestation of a child is too brutal to be ignored. I felt for her pain and the inability in her to pass that point.
I liked the fact that she did try to get over it by consulting a doctor and had asked the doctor to talk to Neev. Which really requires a lot of courage in a woman. Woman in general find it very hard to discuss about something that happenend in their childhood with their spouses and i really applaud Ayesha as a character for having the strength to discuss this with her husband albeit through a doctor.
Neev's acceptance and anger of what happened to ayesha was so poignant. I would always admire a guy who take the past away for the woman and help her out. So, this was a superb piece of writing! 👏
2. Now, My Michi dolls....Awww...The sweetness of Milind...Him taking the pic and pulling Prachi's leg was so enjoyable. It broke up the intensity of Neev and Ayesha's story! It was damn cute...
The past where Prachi saves the puppy gives so much insight into her nature...and the reason why Milind saved her the first day at the university makes sense..
Her unrequitted love is beautiful. The reasons why she fell in love with him over time is totally understandable too! Milind is slowly falling for her and that is slowly coming out in your story!!
Marvelous part!!! Great piece of writing hun! 👏
She knows in her head that she needs to move on and in her heart she desires to move on but the pain is there and it will never truly go away. But she'll definitely see happier days with Neev by her side.😃
The scars never go away even after you have passed that point in time when it had happened. The deep scars of molestation of a child is too brutal to be ignored. I felt for her pain and the inability in her to pass that point. 😭😭Its true. Now the fact that i have to get Ayesha to move on...😆😆😆Thats hard...i might have to skip that part...i'll probably be eaten by the leap.😆😆
I liked the fact that she did try to get over it by consulting a doctor and had asked the doctor to talk to Neev. Which really requires a lot of courage in a woman. Yes it does. I was hoping that this wouldn't make Ayesha come accross as a weak person when infact her resolve to tell Neev and seek help from a doctor proves her to be a stronger woman than most others. Woman in general find it very hard to discuss about something that happenend in their childhood with their spouses and i really applaud Ayesha as a character for having the strength to discuss this with her husband albeit through a doctor. Thankyou.
Neev's acceptance and anger of what happened to ayesha was so poignant. I would always admire a guy who take the past away for the woman and help her out.I know. Neevu is my perfect guy.😳 I love him so.😃 So, this was a superb piece of writing! 👏 Thankyou once again.
2. Now, My Michi dolls....Awww...The sweetness of Milind...Him taking the pic and pulling Prachi's leg was so enjoyable. It broke up the intensity of Neev and Ayesha's story! It was damn cute... I had a debate in my head over that. I was thinking that maybe putting Michi in the middle of this will break the flow. But at the same time i thought it would give a relief to the intensity.
The past where Prachi saves the puppy gives so much insight into her nature...and the reason why Milind saved her the first day at the university makes sense..
lolz. I thought this would sound filmy. As we see such scns a lot in movies.😆😆😆 But it fit into my narration. I am glad you didn't hate it.
Marvelous part!!! Great piece of writing hun! 👏 Thanks Sangeeta. For your comments now and for your encouragement earlier.
