In Urdu...i think...at least in ancient times they used to use it.😆 But i think the word may have originated a bit west of India.
My current obsession with the word has to do with watching Jodha Akbar.😆 But i used it before 2..because i heard the word in another movie "Uff..yeh mohabbat" (i think😕). I have been in love with that word since then.😳 So i have adopted it permanently.😃

BTW: Part 3 is coming 2morrow. G-nite..sweetdreams luv ya. Takhliya

JC! I loved the second part to bits! Hun! now..you have me hooked..Wonderful bit!

I loved the character sketch so far of the 3 of them...
I think you have elaborated a bit more on Neev's character than Prachi's...but it was beautiful.....

Want to know what happens next! Awesome gal! 👏

Just a suggestion, why don't you break it down into smaller paragraphs rather than a longer one... 😳

Chapter 3 – A sister's concern
Dedicated to concerned sisters around the world

The clock had just struck 11:00 and Ayesha was standing by the window in her room letting the cool breeze ease her mind. She had been tensed all day. It had been a routine day at work with the usual meetings and work load. But in between running from one department to the other, she had actually found time to check her email. She hadn't checked her email in over a week and like she has expected, her inbox was flooded with spam. She was horrified to see that the total number of mails she had was 147. One Hundred Forty Seven!!!! She had gasped, she knew more than half of it was spam. She was almost tempted to delete all of them together but better sense took over and she weeded out the important mails. It was one such very important mail that had her concerned. It had triggered her journey down memory lane.

It was a mail from Milind. It wasn't unusual for him to mail her. Ever since he went to Turkey he had kept in touch with her through emails and occasional phone calls. It wasn't just because they had once been neighbors and good friends. He had his reasons for checking up with things on her end. But today's mail indicated that he was coming back. He was coming back for good. He had mentioned that he was missing his home and family and he felt he had made enough fortunes at his young age and now wanted to come back home. This had gotten her concerened. Ofcource it was a good thing that Milind was returning. Maybe she wouldn't feel so lonely anymore if she had a friend like him around. But his return also meant bad news for her sister. And she didn't know exactly how to tell Prachi about it.

Prachi was her half sister. This reality had been revealed to her on the day their father died. She had met Prachi before that incident. They had been good acquaintances at that time. It was unlike Ayesha to quickly become friendly with any stranger. But Prachi was different. Something about her made Ayesha want to connect with her immediately. At the time, Ayesha herself had been surprised by this but in retrospect she figured it must have been the blood bond. They were well on their way to becoming good friends when the ugliest truth of their life was revealed in front of everyone. Since then there had been a strange silence between the sisters. They rarely spoke to each other. Not out of spite. But whenever they saw each other, both would be reminded of the one thing in common between them, their father, Mr. Inder Shah. Both of them never felt comfortable talking about him so they tried never to bring it up. And the best way to do this was to stay out of each other's way. They would have dinner at the same table everyday but barely glanced at each other.

The only reason Ayesha even went along with the dinner ritual at the Shah's was because she respected PL. PL had invited her and her mother to live with them after Inder had passed away. She didn't need to do it. Inder had left half of his property for Ayesha and her mother and the other half for PL and her children. Yet PL had insisted that they live together as family. Ayesha was hesitant but considering that her ill mother needed to be taken care of and she didn't want to admitt her to an asylum, Ayesha had agreed under the condition that PL would care for her mother. PL had proved to be a woman of her word. Not only had PL shown great concern for Amrita but had also cared for Ayesha like her own daughter. Ayesha had slowly realized that PL was someone to respect. She was amazed at her ability to forgive, to love one and all, and not to hold even the slightest grudge against anyone. Ayesha was getting the love of a mother from PL, something she had craved for all her life. So she had remained at Shah mansion, though the property still remained divided among them. Ayesha was not one to trust people blindly. She understood relationships but also understood that human nature was not saintly.

But currently she was very worried about Prachi. Somehow, somewhere down the line, Ayesha had given herself the rights of an elder sister when it concerened Prachi. Ofcourse Prachi was unaware of this development on Ayesha's part because Ayesha wouldn't dare to show her softer side to anyone. Having lived a sheltered life under Inder and Premlata's wings, Prachi was very much innocent and naiive even at this age and this could possibly be the reason Ayesha felt the need to protect her. Prachi had not seen the world that Ayesha had. Maybe it was her fortune that she didn't have to go through the same pains as Ayesha. There was a few times that she resented Prachi for her luck. When Prachi had grown up among the love, affection and protection of a sound family, Ayesha had a dysfunctional childhood. Ayesha had gone through things she wouldn't wish even on her enemy. But at other times she was glad that Prachi didn't go through those things, because maybe only Ayesha could have handled such situations. Prachi would have broken beyond repair. At least this way the innocence in the girl was preserved. There was no denying that Prachi was a duplicate of PL. And Ayesha's growing respect for PL might also have had something to do with her need to protect Prachi.

Ayesha was still standing by the window and it had started to drizzle lightly. A few drops of rain brought Ayesha back to the present and she was again restless. In her dilemma of how she will give the bad news to Prachi. How would Prachi react? Actually she knew exactly how Prachi would react and that is what she was worried about. How would she handle Prachi? If there was someone else who could take on this task, she would have gladly let them do it. Ayesha was not someone who would run away from challenges but she just couldn't see the pain in Prachi's eyes. What Ayesha was about to tell Prachi would cause her the kind of pain that would be equal to burning a human spirit in the pits of hell. How could she tell Prachi that she was about to loose the sole joy of her life.

Coming up next: Its not Milind definitely😆...He'll be showing up in a few chapters time..but i'll keep giving info about him. Stay tuned😃
It was a longer chapter..hope you enjoyed and thanx for reading.😃
