criticising Ekta.

I have opened this topic to criticse Ekta's Awards. this is not to focus on th ladies dressing sense or providing reasoning for people who won the award. Last night when I slept this thing kept tormenting me.

1). When she says Global Indian TV Awards it should consider the whole of India and not just Hindi. Why wasn't regional soaps considered for the Award ceremony. There should have been atleast one category for that.

2). And more to say she is not concentrating only in Hindi but has also extended her market to other langauges. The only problem is only few of her soaps have been successful in South 😆. She tried many in kannada, few in tamil and few in telugu that are hardly being spoken about now. People in different states like to have a taste for reality that all her soaps are lacking. She tries to make all south heroines wear those heavily embroidered sarees and heavy silver jewellery. I think she needs to learn more about the south Indian culture before coming all the way from Mumbai to make revenues.

3). I watch both hindi and South Indian soaps. South Indian soaps are a lot better when compared to hindi soaps. Hindi soaps have the same concept over and over again. While south Indian soaps have a variety in it with some realistic touch. None of the soaps have something like Milind Mishra leaving to turkey and coming back with a Big Business empire in 2 months.

4). South Indian soaps have great technical quality when it comes to cenematography and dialogue delivery. She tried to remake Kkusum in the south thinking it wiil capture the masses. For awhile it did capture the masses. But after sometime it lost its place and towards the end people began to call it a big piece of crap. That is her position in southern region.

I know it is long but I request you folks to read it and comment it as well.

ur post is bang on vidya...ekta needs to show more reality in her soaps...her storylines are sooo far fetched and illogical that i sometimes wonder what planet she and the so called creatives are from 😆

Agree. She made some shows in Mallu too. I think only successful one is there is Kalyani...which i think is a rip off of Saloni....can't expect Madam Ekta to be original now can we but to be honest i don't watch it so i might be wrong. I too wondered why the "Global" awards didn't include other regions of India..

but the problem is even people have got soo used to these soaps that they hardly look for reality stuff in it. I dont believe people still sit down and watch Kyunki and Kahani that started nearly 6 years ago. Kasauti is almost dieing now. They don't know where to go ahead with the story that they have already made a crap out of it. There are soo many soaps in different regions that are lot better than hers. It was the same debate they had when the jury sent Ekalavya to the Oscars when they could have definitely sent something from Bojpuri.

Ekta soaps has not reality be it hinid, or any other regions. One of her south soaps, called for Kasthuri is one of the worst I ever have come across, degrading womans like doormates 😡

i dont think they even have any awards for shows in south india 😕

btw, its only in hindi soaps we come across hotties like Shabbo, Iqbal, Akash, Karan, Jatin etc 😳

Meli has a point. Ekta is able to run her shows for so long only because of the 'hotties'. As to her serials being unrealistic, yes they are the wierdest lot. So much as that people have now resigned themselves to her logic saying that nothing is immpossible in K-land.

You can have babies delivered in two months and some delivered in two years (KS), some delivered and complete their first year of existance in ten months flat from the time of conception, some are invisible throughout the time they are in their mother's womb or that is what the world believes(KYM) .


Millionaires are made in two months (KYM) and millionaires become paupers in less than two weeks (Kyunki).

Men have no clue about women's physique, some think their wives have delivered a baby before marriage eventhough she did not, others think their wives have never known a man before them even though she would have delivered a baby (KYM). Adoption of babies takes less time than buying a kilogramme of potatoes (KYM).

A woman cannot get a job anywhere in a big city like Mumbai because her husband who wants revenege against her is a big business tycoon and has his tentacles every where and manages to corner her to work for him(KS). Another woman has the same power and prevents the men from her erstwhile family from finding any job in the city although she herself got all her wealth just a short while back and that too through treachery (Kyunki).

People fall into deep ravines and not a bone in their body is broken (Kyunki). Others have accidents and come back with new faces, height and complexion (KTH, KAA).

Couple have to sleep together (although they are divorced and have re-married other people) inorder to provide a sibling with same DNA typing for the bone marrow treatment of their older child (Kasauti)- they have not heard of anything like artificial insemination.

There is black magic (KS), ghosts (KAA), gods making special appearances (KS). You are left wondering whether you are watching a daily soap or a horror serial or a religious serial. I can understand if the genre of the serial is such that all this magic/religious stuff needs to be there. But why mix everything in the daily soap which is as it is weighed down by illogical plots?

I can go on on and on. But lets come to the point.

Certainly the serials from the south are far more realistic. Not only serials, even movies from the south are far more realistic than most hindi films. Unfortunately they are not so big budgeted and they are not advertised over the same scale. The least Kekta mai could have done is atleast recognise their worth by declaring awards for them too, especially since she called this global awards. Vidya I am fully with you on this.

this woman got nothing that I can leane on soaps or whatsoever and all of her soaps that I have been watching for years I watch it because of the hotties and for thoes cute,hott and lovely jodis that she put together 😳not because she has got reality or that there's something in them that I can leane from it,

and one of her stupid soap now is KAA in as much I love and watch it for Gauri's sake she killed that soap for me the day they ask Gauri 2 marry Samar🤢 🤢u see Gauri has a sister call kaya she is in love with Samar and he Samar love her back and Gauri love her hubby Shiv but he is dead now and they have 3 kids together and kaya has no kid at all so 2 me why thinking about Gauri who has already got 3 kids of her own and forget about kaya who does not have even one kid 2 call her own why thinking about Gauri been happy?and not even care or remember kaya at all😕 😕what about kaya?😕so u see all of her shows has no reality or has anything thing that one can leane from it

Ekta refuses to use logic when it comes to her serials...She believes in extra-marital affairs -that too not just 1 but several, marriage and re-marriage [which is a big joke for her] then again bringing back the dead to life...These are the standard trademarks of all BT soaps...
