Thanks a lot for sharing.....😊 😊 😊

I've copied that article to this, just to make everyone easier to read it.....just enjoy it.....😊 😊 😊

'I am still the simple guy'

For someone who has had no prior experience and footing in acting, twenty-two-year-old Jay Bhanushali does an impressive take on it. After emerging as the finalist in the reality dance show Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Jay has proved that he is also a talented dancer. CG Plus catches up with the teleactor at his residence.

Sujatha Subraman

Jay Bhanushali, the name is synonymous in almost every household. Thanks to the popular screen character of Neev Shergill, which he plays in the teleserial Kayamath.

"The world of acting revolves around creativity," says the teleactor at his Tilaknagar residence where he lives with his parents and siblings.

"Acting totally depends on your skill and hard work," shares the actor. Becoming a popular personality has not altered Jay's lifestyle. "I am still the simple guy who loves simple things like home-cooked food," he admits candidly. On his first brush with acting, he reveals, "After my HSC, I did a couple of advertisements like the Lay's wafer ad with Saif Ali Khan. Later on, Ekta Kapoor noticed me in the Rediff advertisement and that is how I got a call from the Balaji. After a screen test and mock shoot session, I bagged a plum role in Kayamath as Neev."

Bitten by the acting bug he enjoys his experience with the small screen. "So far, I have not been offered a role in movies. If given a chance, my dream role would be the kind of role Akshay Kumar played in the movie Waqt," he discloses.

Having spent his childhood in Juhu, Jay shifted to the eastern suburb only two years ago. However, he has no regrets. "Tilaknagar is a lovely place with lots of greenery. We have another flat at Vidyavihar, which is again great place to reside. As far as commuting is concerned, it takes hardly half an hour to reach my studio. The choice of shifting to this part of the city was my mom's decision. As most of our relatives reside in and around Ghatkopar, my mother was keen to shift here," he states.

Jay maintains that he is first in his family to step into the world of entertainment. "My father wanted me to opt for a steady job but I tried my hand at modelling because I didn't want a routine nine to five job. During my school days, I never acted in a single play nor have I enrolled for any acting course. "

Jay also has a spiritual side; he is a great devotee of Ganesha. "I frequent the Siddhivinayak temple often," he informs. His busy schedule leaves him with little or no time to pursue his hobbies, which range from listening to music, playing cricket and of course partying with friends. "I do not mind restricting these pleasures because it is worth it. When I get recognised on the streets or when my fans associate me with my screen name it makes me feel proud. I feel I have done justice to my role. Like my screen character, in real life I am also fond of humour and I am looking forward to do a comedy role."
