Who does he play in Kayamath? 😕 😕 😕

What is he talking about...? Thats exactly what they do, watch DVDs of movies and then implant into the serials... Kuch Kuch Hota Hai to Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam... Everything has been copied and pasted into these shows...

And "a track lasts three months while a movie three hours"??? Who tells you to pull one track for three months like a rubber band till you are threatened with death by viewers, to end it?? Honestly dude, saying your shows arent for "metros" isnt going to help, most of your viewers are from metros like Mumbai and Delhi... *rolls eyes*
And I'm sure the rural lot LOVE to see the daughters of the house sleeping around and geting pregnant... Is that what brings back your rural audiences back every night???

Honestly... Come up with something original instead of poorly defending yourself...

Ryka, I couldnt have agreed more , I wonder why they use that rural metro theory everytime the inane story lines are blamed !

Well as I see it... the creative team does start off on a fab mode be it the subtlety of emotion between protagonists or the larger than life picture which is most perceived as being essential to create drama.... but the only possible complaint the viewers may have is that the strong and wonderful start to a soap is not held on to... and it almost seems like they go on a inane tangent .... and begin to underestimate viewers...

Most viewers continue watching in hope that it may be revived and some jus move on to other shows... but that never means the story lines continue to be fab... its more the call of a routine that pushes the viewers to watch something on tv and what better than some larger than life drama which makes our lives seem simpler and less complicated! 😆

I for me jus watch one serial at a time until I can relate to it in a vague logical sense and in a way that makes me feel lighter at heart... be it some innocent romance ... but too much drama does get to me too and viewers like me jus shut out at a point when they cant relate anymore... and someone else somewhere jus joins in! 😊

To live in the bubble that viewers are enjoying their story lines and they are creative only coz the TRPs rise at a point is to say the least pitiable .... Creativity is too vast an expanse that can be explored rather than being driven by TRPs... and based on rural metro viewership stats!

The rise and fall of TRPs is a combination of factors really... for all you know the damn TV was on and ppl were snoring away... and lo behold since the tv was playing and the serial was on... ppl believe that it was being watched and that they are enjoying! Hah! My left foot! 😆

I guess what the poor fella means about the urban guys is the sati savitri types and the view that women must sacrifice all for the happiness of the family.
He imagines that the rural lot enjoy the subservence of women and the way they are treated by all and sundry cos the rural women go thro that themselves.
What a lot of crock!
A study by the university of chicago abt the effect of soaps in rural india show that the same women who once thought it was alright for the husband to slap her if she served up a poor meal now tells him to go fly a kite after watching the Prerna and Tulsi types.
So, what gov sponsored programmes and education failed to do, Ekta 's done with little effort. Looks like she's had the last laugh!!!
