Great update Opti...I am a liitle confused on who Milind saw in college and wanted to marry....that girl doresn't sound like Prachi...so possibly her sister...if that is the case it makes sense...since in the begining you said that thier married life was not always easy...started off very shaky. A very intriguing start Opti ' he loves her so much but still she wasn't his first choice. However in the flashback you describe how he fell for her when she was only 15, and vowed to marry her then. Loved this new concept of past and present writing (must be difficult to write in this style), and as usual your character and scene descriptions are astoundingly accurate and easily imaginable. It's so annoying that at the age of fifty, Prachi still has not a wrinkle or a single grey hair ' would love to know what her grooming mantra is ' (although I know some ladies that are fortunate in this way), very lucky lady and being married to Milind - her life is and has been near perfect, as is his I'm sure.

Loved Milind's characteristic ambitious and confident streak ' if he knows what he wants, he will do all that he can to attain it.

In part II he does just that (but possibly not the same girl he saw but Inder Shah's daughter nevertheless). Very glad that Prachi preferred her husband with facial hair, even though she couldn't stand her father with it.

I guess one can assume Opti that your Prachi is like the Kayamath one, homely, docile and selfless ' yeah? I wonder if the suggestion of merging the hotels by Inder was a thorn in Milind's mind which perhaps soured things at the start of his marriage?, also it seems that Milind perhaps married the sister that was not his original choice since the one he fell for was outspoken - starkly different to the one you have described as Prachi) - (This just dawned on me hence I'm quickly editing my original reply)

Wonderful FF ' looking forward to reading further to see how the story unfolds.

Milind certainly is a busy man and because of it poor Prachi didn't get to enjoy all the usual rituals that take place before a wedding.

Prachi was 25 when married, and she would be 15 when Milind met THAT gal in the college (he is 20 then!).. Prachi would probably not yet a college student then.. hmm? Still wonder if THAT gal is her elder sister, perhaps Ayesha again who will have some one else in life to consider M???
