Yes, Shubs, society is changing albeit slowly.
I have been privileged to be raised in a household where my grandpa was the most progressive man I've ever seen. So never faced that discrimination. Luckily my hubby believes in complete equality too and has shown it in his actions. The few occassions I get to instil that sense of equality in my son I do. The guy sometimes exhibits tendencies of superiority when it comes to interactions with girls in the colony or with his sister. I nip that in the bud when I come across it.
I used to feel unhappy that I did not have a girl but now I feel if I can give to the society a guy who respects a girl and treats her as his equal, I would have done my bit as a mother.

Like you, my sister too tries to teach the sense of equality to her children and her students.

I too have been fortunate in the sense that my family has largely been treating male and female children equal. Men don't mind cooking and washing utensils and many of my aunties are working women. However, I have seen many other families of my friends and relatives where this is not the case.

nice part opti... loved neev's feelings/reaction to Sahana... waiting to see how Sahana reacts to the truth.. she being 15 means, she very well knows how babies are made (hehehe), so i'm waiting to see her reaction towards prachi... hopefully the truth will never change anything between sahana and milind

Opti read the part 2 and 3 of the epilogue..I actually thought tht i would be reading abt Sahana knowing the truth..but looks like i need to wait for the next one..Im glad you have planned to put it as a separate part..part 1 focussing on Michi's happy family then comes Neev's happy family in part 2 and then..comes the meeting of both the happy families in Part 3...So tht you could dedicate 1 full part for the revealation..afterall its going to be the most important part..

Im really happy that Neev found his happiness in the form of his beautiful and a very understanding wife and 3 adorable kids..Also Liked the way Milind kept updating abt sahana to Neev every now and then..

the katrina kaif part was hillarious..Loved Neev's reaction to his daughter and Neha placing her hand over his shoulders understanding his feelings was beautiful..

So the next part would be the revelation..Im eagerly waiting for it..to see how Michi break the news to Sahana and her reactions..Im really nervous off how would they do it and what would be Sahana's reaction..And im sure just like all the other parts in the fic.. you would do full justice to the upcoming part too..

True, in many families girls are still treated differently and inferior to boys.

Thanks kuku. Yes, Sahana knows about the facts of life. The subject of her paternity is sensitive. Lets see how she reacts.

Yes, Lizzy, I am writing a marathon epilogue which seems never ending. Looks like a mini FF by itself! Have not yet begun the most complex and final part yet.
