Munee, religions are man made. Not God made. If religions were the answer to perfect life- then we wouldn't have had rapes, murders etc.. even by those who say they are religious.

I am not defending what Prachi did. If Prachi the Homo sapien did not live in this particular type of society, her having a baby before wedding would have been not an issue.

But since Prachi knew the rules of the society she lived in and still didn't obey them (we don't know under what circumstances)- was going to commit suicide as her punishment (it's a different matter that she would have ended up killing her baby too..).

Though she didn't obey the rules, I still give her a fair chance of happy life with Milind because what she did was anti-society but not anti-natural.

I give up Shubhs since you put God in here I do not wish to elaborate on my ideas or thoughts on Him because to me my religion truly stems from His will alone.

I agree here. Prachi knew the rules but slipped up big time. She understands her mistakes (I wouldn't call it a crime), is remorseful and is trying to atone as best as she could. Why should she not get a second chance?

There is a huge difference of thoughts on your Milind between you and me Opti. I have not seen any man act so magnanimously as to accept another's love child as his without actual knowledge of the biological father or the circumstances that led to the union. You say it was love does he know it was love. You say your Milind is happy with remaining in the dark i find it hard to believe no rational man would be able to do that. So now I think i'll stop investing my emotions in the story and read it as any other story since I do not accept your portrayal of Milind as normal. It is beyond human nature to be this way especially a man. I say so because I personally know a few people who did this sort of thing no.... not one husband accepted the wife the ones who were unmarried now curse the day they slept with their so called lovers.

I do not know all the men in the world to pass such a blanket statement about how they will behave. As I said the seed of the story is taken from a tamil serial. The essence was this, that the guy saves a girl from suicide attempt and accepts her love child as his own and loves the woman unconditionally. I do not remember the details of the rest of the story. This could happen in reality, it may not. It is not totally impossible. Ofcourse it is not an everyday affair and yes as you said men are more unforgiving than women when it comes to matters relating to s** but there could always be some excetional men. My Milind is one such character. And yes he is not normal but exceptional.
Anyway I am writing a work of fiction and not someone's life history.

Let me make it clear first- I respect the institution of marriage and then I love the idea of single life long partner monogamy etc..
But if you think about society...
Haven't many women accepted their husbands who might have slept with another woman pre-marriage? Yes men don't have to carry a baby as a result of s** and they don't need to prove their virginity. Why our society makes it a big issue if a woman had pre-marriage s** but if it's a man- it's like "chalta hain.."???
