...... call for Desperate Measures.
what else could explain Milind's highly questionable act. A decision made in the heat of the moment, it was definitely not well thought of or planned. Milind had reached a point where he couldnt be pushed anymore. A point where he just couldnt make any more sense of the situation prachi and he were in, her refusal to spend their wedding anniversary together, her misplaced sense of priority, her shifting loyalties back and forth, and very simply, her implausible reasoning as to why they cant be a family all over again.
Milind tonight was a man driven by circumstances and given how more often that not it is a human flaw, i find milind's impromptu decision to kill themselves excusable. Decision being the operative word. Only if you view it from the way i explained it above. Another point to substantiate my theory would be that he didnt even think of his son and had to be reminded about him by his wife. So, it is in situations like these where a man who has been patient all these days fails to take it any more and finally goes off the deep end. Situations where you let emotion cloud your judgement. This is how i see where he's coming from, and somehow explains what he did today. Otherwise, his selfish act is definitely irredeemable and unforgivable and i totally agree with Opti's post here - https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/kayamath/1070772/i-am-disappointed-in-milind
P.S. - im NOT justifying his act. im trying to find a reason as to why he'd take a drastic step as this.

Bee, if you can find a reason for Milind's behaviour, I can find one for Prachi's behaviour too. I found him asking her to leave that press conference to be with him quite illogical. If he wanted his wife so desperately, why not tell the D-family the truth before? What is the point in pushing it to the point where that family will get disgraced in a press conference if Prachi leaves with him? Obviously the woman is not going to do an act that would shame everybody in public. I find both Mi and Chi act like guiddy headed teenagers.

Agree with you Bee. What Milind did was wrong, but I can't expect Milind to do right when he is denied his life- the life he spent searching for 5.7 years.

Opti Akka, can Milsi not expect his wife to find an excuse (let me say "Majboori) to spend their annivesary with him leaving the conference behind- the woman who is living a life full of excuses (let me say majbooris).

Shubs, what excuse can she give when the press conference is already on? Milsi I felt was acting quite irrationally. The guy should have forced her to admit the truth under less trying circumstances. If he could not, then he should have gone ahead and told the truth himself.

Lizzy - thanks! i came back a few days ago though... 😊 good to see u!
Opti - there u go! u said it guiddy headed and poor decision-making.
As to your question on why he hasnt told the D family the truth before, well, why do u think? he did that for prachi right..? she was the one who didnt want him to tell anybody the truth.. she wants to have it both ways. well she cant have both. either she lives with the D-family or milsi goes away - which is what he's been telling her all along. But because milsi wont leave without her and is now hellbent on takin both of them when he leaves, he's still around...
anyway, both of their characteristics have loopholes and inconsistencies and im taking up for neither..... just tryin to make sense i guess... as hard as that may seem
btw, welcome back opti. noticed u werent around the past week..

I had thought of an excuse for her. Sumonto was already expressing how bored he was in the party. She could have said she is taking Sumonto out for something and then later called DGs and told they are stranded somewhere and can't make it to the press conference. Imagine how nice it would have been to see Michi family under one roof.

As far as Milind not telling the truth himself or forcing her to do so- he knows she is wearing her Panchi mask. What's the point in forcing Panchi to become Prachi. It's better if she starts her life with Milind again as Prachi herself rather than she feeling forced to live with him.
