i did NOT think even for a bit that it was vulgar!! would i watch it with my dad....NO!! the rest of the family===bring it on!! haha!! infact my bros run when they used to see me watching Kymth 😆😆 ...not because they think anything is vulgar but coz they cant stand watching indian soaps!! 😆

on a serious note--that was some beautiful michi scene!! it was aesthetically shot!! Shabbir being the true gentleman maintains his distance if one notices 'closely' 😆😆 and let's not forget Panchi's ever reliable hand in b/w!! haha!! it was their eye lock that might have ppl preceiving its a lot hotter/bolder than it is!! physcially there was anything vulgar!! there was aggression in terms of pulls by Milind but hey since when did kissing on the forehead, touching someone's face as if committing it to memory become vulgar/bold!!
its funny how ppl won't watch THIS but will watch that Ekta reality show (had naman, jay and panhi) wherein the contestants were outright rude, swearing, fighting like no tommorrow, BSing and having no concern about its impact on a female contestant's character!! when my friend suggested i watch it i was shocked beyond words!! imagine if something like that wudda happened on American Idol....Simon wudda thrown them out!! there's a way to conduct oneself...i cud never have watched that insistent crap with my family due to the obvious reasons!!

Pratz, as part of an Indian audience, I did not like your statements because it seemed to me that it implied that the audiences in India are by and large hypocritical and unable to accept the essential part of life "passion"... well, indian audiences DO have that kind of mind set whether u agree or not...not only on tv, in reality as well. Not everyone watching these shows in India adheres to the views of the topic-starter, so I don't think its fair of you to stereotype the audience living in India, and bunch them all into "narrow-minded, unprogressive, hypocritical" people i did not say ALL of the people are like that, i said in a major part of india the audiences DO have that kind of mindset... Sorry, it came off as a bit preachy and judgmental to me, Pratz though I don't think that was your intention.... it may sound preachy or judgemental, but its the truth. i m sick and tired of the moral police in india who have got no other job but to poke their noses into everybody's business. and most of the indians ARE conservative yaar and sex and passion are still considered taboo in most of the homes. i wasnt saying ALL of them are like that, i meant a major part. and i do think its time indian television reinovated itself into something more symbolic of present times.

And, I have no problems with boldness, as long as it isn't vulgar, and isn't put in to garner views... Like when people put in gawdy item-numbers just so that people go to watch the movie and not for the script itself...

However, looking @ the other side of the coin, I don't think passion is synonomous with boldness and physicality!!! So when you say people are unable to accept certain bold (verging to vulgar) scenes, I don't think it necessarily means they are unable to accept "passion"... IIt depends on the kind of boldness shown really. It is vulgarity that I've a problem with, and IMO the MICHI scene though bold by Indian TV standards wasn't vulgar according to me, so I enjoyed it...like ur saying its the content that matters, right? and u think the michi scn was bold yet not vulgar. and yet the topic is "too bold for indian tv" . wat m trying to say is that i dont think we shud consider the michi scn shown yesterday as being "too bold for indian tv" . it shud b acceptable by indian tv standards by now. it wasnt vulgar, it was passionate and sensuous. and that aspect of passion shud not b considered as too much for indian tv cuz its the 21st century and i do think that indian audiences shud wake up now to these kinda scenes. its really high time

No, it wasn't bold at all. At the most it would classify as sensual.

Pratz - I don't think its wrong in saying its "bold" for Indian TV - I'm using this term in a relative way... the scene was not bold per se, but bold according to our Indian TV because it is, we normally don't see such scenes, so it is a bold move in a way... For the poster she meant bold in a negative way... But I don't think being bold is bad or wrong... Its a neutral term and I intended to use it that way... And as I said, in the future as more such scenes are shown in KYM and other serials, people won't consider it "bold" anymore. its all relative to me...

And our Indian audience from India have lapped up movies like Dhoom 2, Race etc.... So I don't think its fair to say that majority feel uncomfortable with watching such stuff, by such stuff I mean the kind of stuff shown in KYM and in Indian movies.. About Indian audience being conservative, and things like sexual stuff being considered taboo - Now thats an entirely subject and argument which concerns their lifestyles, not what they are comfortable with watching... I'm saying that it isn't fair to say majority are still stuck in the past and are uncomfortable with watching "bold" scenes, because I don't think that argument in applicable with the kind of content KYM is showing, which is pretty tame compared to what Indians are by now used to watching in movies...

no, m jst saying that boldness or passion is new to the indian audience on tv and though they r used to movies showin such stuff, serials are a diff story for them. well, i jst hope kym removes this barrier of wat "bold" actually is. as for the topic starter - well, i completely disagree wid her views. though indian tv hasnt woken up to the concept of blatant passion on tv, it wudnt b write to say that such scns shudnt b shown at all and to blame the actors for not protesting. indian must wake up in this matter
