JC, Milind is not going to tolerate even one hair of his son being harmed. Such a possessive father he is. Though I was glad he made that bully kid apologise to Sumonto, I am not happy with his harsh (Prachi- if at all madamji takes her role as Milind's wife could have helped to make those words less harsher) words. But that's Milind. He used to beat up Aalaap who took his sister for granted black and blue. But Milind is a protective father. He wants his son to live with no fear.

But then, I loved Milind's skill of parenting when he made his son drink milk. he not only explained himt he benefits of milk but gave him a living example and the boy who hated milk finished it in seconds.

JC, it is the first thing that struck me yesterday but everyone was in a foul mood with Prachi's behaviour, I felt there is no point raising this issue at the time. It would only be construed as an opposition to Milind.

I see.😊 And the fact that its only you me and Shali in this thread indicates something?😆 But I couldn't stop myself. I felt it was a very important aspect of Michi as parents that was brought out yesterday and it shouldn't be lost in the debate of who hates Prachi more.

When someone hits your kid like how chottu was hit black and blue some parents cannot handle that kind of treatment calmly and rationally...... I would not be able to do so...i would be more like Milind than proteek! lol... That's why i stopped myself from commenting on it as i think the boys deserved what they got from Milind but not the kind of dialogues that i heard though...they are 15 year boys who have a bashed up a 5 yr old kid...they don't get my sympathy at all...Sorry to say it like this but i am being blunt...i would be up in arms if my 41/2 yr old was beaten black and blue by a 15 yr old almost adult!!! That's how i see it!

I am not saying Milind's feelings and his intentions are wrong P. I would have gone straight to the 15 yr old's parents house (just like the 15 yr old's parents came D-house) and created a tornado if anyone touched my kid. But for Milind to go bully a 15 yr old in return for his bullying....how does that set a good example for his son.

Like Shubs said..i liked how he got Sumonto to drink up the milk...but definitely he didn't set a good example of how to deal with bully's. YOu don't become a bully yourself to deal with a bully. Then what makes you different? But then thats Milind's way of thinking and the life he has seen and thats what he wants to teach his kid. But i didn't make this thread to actually argue about was Milidn more right of Proteek or his family more right. I was talking about how both POVs and parents are important in raising Sumonto to be a balanced and fair human being.

P.S. a 15 yrs old is by no means an adult. And the treatment Milind may have rendered to Alaap who was well over the age of legal adulthood is not comparable to this situation.

JC, I was not comparing the kid with Aalaap. I was comparing Milind's way of dealing with things. While Milind had beaten up Aalaap he only threatened this kid. I am glad he saw the difference in age though.😕

That's why Prachi is needed to calm Milind down. But then Prachi is too meek. I hated the fact that she tolerated kaakima's slap to Sumonto.. She needed to protest and give back to kaakima right in front of Sumonto.. while she should have explained to Sumonto later that he was wrong in cutting an elder's saree. If Milind was present in Kaakima situation, he would have given it back to her right then and Prachi could haev made Sumonto understand his mistake later in private. THat's how Michi can be good parents.

Like i said P...i didn't make this post to blame Milind or Prachi. And i don't agree that Chotu has lost his best growing years. He is all of 5. My best growing years were after the age of 5. I learned the greatest lessons of life from my father between the age of 6 and 12. So...i don't think Chotu has lost much. Kids usually don't have a conscious memory of their life until after 4.
