Ayesha/Sanjida-New Artcl

Fans of Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh can now catch their favourite couple in the same serial. After Sanjeeda was killed in Kayamath (STAR Plus) where she played the character of Ayesha, she has joined Aamir in his show Kya Dill Mein Hai on 9X from this month. Apart from being seen as the hit jodi in Nach Baliye 3, this couple has never worked with each other in any serial prior to this besides a cameo in Kis Des Main Hain Mera Dil.

When asked why she chose to take up the show, here's what Sanjeeda had to say, "Firstly, needless to say because of Aamir. Secondly, it's Balaji's own show and Ekta Kapoor has always given me great characters, so I was sure if she thought I was fit for this, then I had to do it. Lastly, I play a completely positive character which is what I wanted to do after Kayamath."

In the show, Sanjeeda will be seen playing Naina, a lawyer by profession, a fun-loving, free spirited and ambitious young woman.

When mostly on television, onscreen jodis go on to become offscreen jodis, here's one couple who have been going around for quite some time but have never displayed their chemistry onscreen. But there is still some wait for that as Sanjeeda explains, "We are just working in the same show, but are not seen as a couple. Maybe later if the track shapes up with us being paired together, audiences will see our chemistry on screen. But I'm sure we will be great together. Till then it will be just nice to be working on the same sets and having a hassle-free time." beams Sanjeeda.
