No Opti...I did not mean to say that it is you personally, far from it...even I haven't voiced my admiration for him as much as you have and have done so well...

I know you did not mean me Rima but except for one or two people I dont think Jay generates any negative vibes. I find it strange that Neev would be seen as a threat to Milind. After Prachi has lived with Milind and loved him to the core I find no way she will end up with Neev under any circumstance. As to Jay as an actor, he is no threat to Shabbir who is already a well established actor. So fearing that his importance would be reduced if Jay is around is just not understandable. Shabbo just needs one scene to make his presence felt. Even when he was not given as much importance in the beginning of the show as he is now he still held the viewers in sway whenever he came on screen. Now that Michi are a hit there is no way the makers will reduce their importance. Can everyone not happily co-exist?

Rima - I don't think ppl consider Neev/Jay as a character as a threat to Michi...i think it just shows that people like Michi more than they like Neev... The only reason i think people make those negative comments are because they are only seeing it from a Michi Perspective... And there is no use blaming them b'cos that's who they love...*I hope i make sense* the same way when Jay fans make comments they only make it from his perspective! So, there is no point getting hurt....Just read the comment for what it is and move on! There is no use getting your feeling hurt b'cos it is going to happen down the road as well... whatever you say..people are still going to make those comments....! it's better to have thick skin about it..b'cos not everyone thinks the same! May be ppl will get offended by your comments too! who knows!! right!

Also, i don't think there is any threat here for these actors....Shaboo is a well established actor and Jay has just made his entry into the TV industry in the last year or so...I don't think there has to be any comparison btw the two even..... Both are good in their own realm.

Jay still has to mature in his acting just the same as Shaboo had to do in his career...so, i think it is wrong on our part to even make the comparison..... I don't think people personally don't like Jay...i think it is more the case of him playing the character of Neev....

Opti, that is what I am trying to say also. I dont get it...I am fairly certain that I'm not just reading more into it...there are certain posts that clearly suggest that Jay is seen this way...

for example...I only want Shabbir to be center stage? (well...Isn't he always...no one is going to be able to change that...)

As you have mentioned...Michi is a hit...of course the producers are stupid enough not to capitalise on that...but clearly this fear of Jay stems from the belief that Neev will somehow end up with Prachi. That is why many are so adament to have gotten rid of him. If there's no Jay, there's no Neev.

I am not foolish enough to think everyone should love him...I am only concerned that anything concerning him gets turned into something else... Some cannot even wish him luck open heartedly.

Sangs, a good actor keeps growing no matter how high he reaches. That is the hall mark of a good actor. I am sure Shabbo too may feel he needs to grow more, the reason why he says that he is interested in the scripts rather than the banners. Ofcourse comparing an actor who has been around for more than five years with one who has just entered is not fair and I dont think most do that.

Totally agree with you opti..there is no end for an actor to grow....If they feel they have grown then there is no space for performance....I totally agree that he too needs to grow too...but i think it is not right on our part to make a comparison btw two actors who are good in their own right!!! I think the appreciation should be of their portrayal of their roles rather than seeing one as a threat to the other!

Rima, don't make a big deal of one comment. It is well known who is making them and what has triggered it. So lets not give undue importance to it and as Sangs says, lets move on.
