Moreover he used to call him papa, is it normal to show rasing hand to elder? Katha should be ashamed of her upbringing rather she went to room and telling forgive/forget. smiley7

Shame on her.

Is logic se toh if katha decided to cancel the wedding phir ruhi ko bhi mental breakdown mein chale jana chahiye aur katha se nafrat karni chahiye.

Ruhi and Aarav are not the same persons. The similarity between them ends at being raised by single parents and nothing beyond that. They come from different family structures, have had different upbringing and different experiences. Every child is different, and every person is as much a product of circumstances as he is of his nurturing and upbringing. So their reactions to situations and their way to deal with their trauma would also be different.

Viaan's trauma manifested as his fear of being abandoned by his loved ones. He wasn't violent or anything but battled abandonment issues half his life, and grew up thinking all women are gold-diggers. The same thinking led him to commit the biggest mistake of his life. He would have continued being this way had it not been for that mistake. Ruhi is also having trust issues and fears being left behind. She is also battling personal insecurities from thinking that her mother left because she wasn't a good girl. Wouldn't blame her if she has a mental breakdown. I've said it before that they are messing up their kids even more.

I really feel so sad after reading about the word"papa".This is the same Viaan who risked his own life, got injured while saving Aarav from deadly fire.Just hearing the words that Viaan has hurt his mother....he goes on breaking relationship ...kind of forces his mother to marry another man...and now raises his hand.Viaan really doesn't deserve such a ill manared baccha in his life.Aarav really has got the genes of Garewals...aggressive,impulsive and pendulum.

This is not related to the show but, something in general. Why does it become derogatory when some word acknowledges the importance of general role of male? Isn't it true that in 90% of households a man is the breadwinner. If I am acknowledging this important role of men in the society, it doesn't mean women are useless.

Problem with the Patriarchy is its rigidity. Patriarchy exert cultural pressure on women to stay at home and for men to be the sole earner outside the home, and they will have excuses such as 'it's God's will' or 'it's your biological destiny' or 'it's unnatural for a man to do housework and a woman to earn' or 'it's tradition' or 'the children of working mothers will grow up to be psychopaths' or 'men who rely on a woman's earnings are weak and unmanly' etc etc etc.

Problem is that breadwinner was given more importance than homemaker. Ideally, it should be a partnership. Both the tasks are equally important for a sustainable relationship.

I find it problematic that now people see that women who are homemaker as sacrificing because they aren't paid. If Home makers are sacrificing then breadwinners are also sacrificing their minds and the family and all the joy in life so that they can earn bread for them.

We have totally different pov in this matter. That man of the house thing for me is problematic in the show and in general also.

Patriarchy and role of home makers are very wide subjects and requires seperate debate.

Neither home makers or bread winners can be called as sacrificing jobs until they are doing it willingly. But as I said its a separate debate. Will talk some other time in detail.

Now I wonder, may be all the other romantic moments were also not social distance wale scenes but somehow sanskari editors chopped it.
