@bold-Damn...this point
Its not about Aarav's love for his mother is over but its about the tag, man of the house and how they don't use it jokingly but seriously. And it does have effects on Aarav. The child kept seeing his mother struggling throughout his illness. He already felt kind of guilty to put his mother through all this and then this tag gave him this overbearing attitude.
Aarav caring for his mother is ok but he thinking that he is ultimate decision making authority in their life and katha letting him do so is wrong. Because he is just a child. He should not be burdened with this.
And aarav in the past also overreacted because of this tag. Remember when he was missing and security guard of school thought viaan was Aarav's papa. Aarav had literally screamed his lungs out for no reason because apparently he is the man of the house then how come some random guy be called his papa and have access to their life without his permission. That time viaan was not even in picture.
Aarav didn't like ehsan so he tried to trouble him. Aarav liked viaan so tried to persuade his mother to marry him. In all of this, where is katha's choice? It seems like it all begins and end with what aarav wants. From where he gets this attitude? His own mother has been subtly feeding this in his mind since the beginning.
It was never about love. Every child loves his mother but every child doesn't react like aarav. Ruhi is also raised by single parent. She also loves her dad a lot and dislike the fact that her real mom hurt his dad. Is logic se toh if katha decided to cancel the wedding phir ruhi ko bhi mental breakdown mein chale jana chahiye aur katha se nafrat karni chahiye.
If u remember in one of the previous episode...Ruhi after coming from school misses her mother ...was crying fearing if Katha also left her when she didn't find Katha in the house....but there was no aggressiveness in her behaviour. But Aaarav's attitude is on a different level.
Raghav had handled Ruhi much better than Katha.

This explains this issue better and got the point. I always took man of the house literally but, they are abiding by true meaning of this. Neither Aarav is grown up nor he is earning thay he should have this much authority. I hated this thing from the very beginning of this leap. Now that his thinking is showing its ugly faces.
Realistically children of Aarav's age don't exert this much influence. But, what can be done. Aarav was also not brought up like other children as well. Unlike other children, he had only adults influence in his life. Didn't go to school. For two years, he was under supervision of Katha at home and he might be often involved in matters of her mother. Bcoz of absence of Adi Katha shared a lot with Aarav. But, that level of closeness and conpassion was required for both Katha and Aarav to make through the harsh times.
After this much, possessiveness is natural and Katha has to explain to Aarav his limits. This was something I thought they should have addressed post marriage - boundaries of Aarav. This possessiveness is present in many Relationships Mother-Son, Brother-Sister but, one must learn to respect boundaries. For example, Saas bahu saazish happens because of possessiveness of mother towards the son. Thing is that its problematic but, it makes sense from where this emotion coming from, its natural and it was something which Katha should have addressed but, didn't do either due to circumstances or she is stupid.
Honestly, we are wasting our time. After yesterday's episode, I feel all my analysis through character's perspective was in vain. Aarav makes no sense. Katha is stupid. Writers are refusing to provide context and proceeding to show one infuriating scene after another.
I saw the hug in a loop. There was something in this bts...Katha's repeatedly removing his hand and Viaan pulling her closer to a tight hug and comforting her.
Why does the editors have to show their efficiency in these type of scenes??
hain na, it was all so natural, she trying to resist but he not letting go realising her need to be comforted. Because of the editing the scene lost if not whole but most of its essence. Missing out details makes a whole lot of impact on a scene be it editing be it writing, any department for that matterOriginally posted by: divine_16

See I agree with you. What you are saying is correct. My point is that I don't find Aarav's reaction something that is out of character. I find his behavior right now towards Viaan and Katha's relationship is in line with his established character arc and the bond that they've shown right from the beginning.
This is the same child that wanted to do well in school to support his mother. The same one who went ahead and bought an indian wear for his mother to wear to a party when he saw that she didn't have anything new, because she never had the money to buy anything for herself. He didn't like Ehsan, but there's also a flip side to it. He was also the one who was ready to accept him and give him another chance because he thought that Ehsan was his mother's special friend. He did all the fake kidnapping because he wanted to smooth things over for Viaan, wanted to make things right between the adults so that they all could be together. He could have been a big roadblock in their relationship then but he turned out to be the biggest supporter.
If you go back to the Baby Nina track there's one episode where Viaan asks Katha about her struggles and how she raised Aarav alone. She tells him ki Adi ke jaane ke baad Aarav ne kabhi tang kiya hi nhi. Jaise Adi ka jaana woh chota bachcha bhi samajh gya ho. Pareshani mein bhi nhi rota tha etc etc. This. They've shown from the beginning how close they are, how deeply connected.
I agree there are loopholes in narration and his character. The perceptive child they showed from the beginning is somewhat missing. But the essence of Katha and Aarav's bond is still essentially the same. Just this time they're standing opposite Viaan when the three of them were supposed to be a team.
Aarav has learnt some cool moves in Karate class. So,now implementing it on the best punching bag "Viaan"Originally posted by: _OrChiD_
Aarav wanted to punch Viaan? What type of up bringing is this in the name of mera beta man of the house hai?
Disgusting mother Katha. She failed in every department. Disgusting human being, she doesn't deserve Viaan at all.
You can't teach basic manner and you have guts to say "I am always right"

Arey woh toh choro...Katha telling to Pranav that Aarav won't tell anything about Viaan to Raghav. They are a team so they will make sure Raghav and family get all the love.Kya upbringing hai...betey ko bhi sikhao jhoot bolna aur batein chupana
And this was the same Katha who once called out Viaan in his cabin thinking that he told a lie(when he didn't as he was actually busy) to his batman of being busy and not able to meet him.Gave lectures about parenting to Viaan
kaun sa bacha aisa punch karega? Forget about kids who are violent but Aarav?😡 if there is a theory supporting the punch then I have nothing to say😀. Also who is the person he was about to punch? Viaan, Jise woh bahut pyaar kartha tha? Also I can’t repeat again but as I said yesterday he knows every details of his Robin’s love story and after knowing he is behaving this way😡Originally posted by: divine_16

Why does the editors have to show their efficiency in these type of scenes??
Balajis editing team is the best. I don't know why other pH doesn't hire efficient editors!!!
