Moral of the story : Don't involve children too much if u want to show love story. This isn't a proper love story.
Current storyline mostly makes sense but, someone looking for a love story, this is not your cup of tea. If we remove Aarav from the scene, everything will be sorted. If somehow he just vanishes or, it was just like the OG show, child didn't have strong influence on storyline, it would have been better.
Currently it feels like two lovers unable to get together bcoz of child. Reasoning for separation is genuine but, when written on paper, it looks stupid.
But, Aarav is in the scene and had strong influence from the very beginning so, it is what it is. What is happening currently is logical but, what is the point of this story? It is just a story where everything which is happening is logical but, it has no clear goals.
I think the core premise of the story was second chances. It was about mistakes, guilt, redemption and forgiveness. And how these can shape a person and also develop into love.
I would say Katha and Viaan's story was more a love story than the majority of the shows currently on TV have. The focus never shifted from Kaviaan's love and their journey, either together or individually.
I cannot think of one show that is not an out and out family drama. Either the shows are female centric with pseudo-feminism and fake empowerment and long moral lectures. Or about unreasonably big families and its perpetually zimmedaariyon ke bojh ke tale daughter. Or the most favourite theme of extra-marital affairs with a confused dumb hero, 2 sautans, multiple weddings, and child kidnappings. Kuch hua ho ya nhi atleast there were no fake pregnancies that nobody could catch on for 9 months, no cringe sibling rivalry with evil sisters eyeing their own sister's husbands, and no leads that stay eternally young in their 30s even after multiple leaps and grown-ass adult kids and are still trying to finish their love stories while their kids have their own (looking at those kachra bhagyas)
And these are supposedly family shows. What kind of family systems do these people think we have in our country where there's no sanctity of marriage, and no relationship is sacred. Where sisters plot against sisters, men have two wives, women have multiple children with multiple men, every medical personnel is a fraud and fake gundas are as easy to hire as ordering food online. Itv is a mess and it will always be. Whatever it's fault, you rarely come across shows like KA in itv.
