TROUBLESOME ACTIONS OF ML......... - Page 3

mili -- actually I wasn't planning to catch up but just for you, will see the last 3 episodes. hahahah... give me a few and will come back with my thoughts.

here is what I wrote in DT on the last episode:

okay watching after two weeks:

-- apparently you can skip episodes and not feel anything. hahahah

-- viaan's hair looked odd in some scenes. haircut? and now all those tight t-shirts after being in suits and vests, my mind is not computing

-- viaan and neerja: as usual boring. skip skip

-- now even kavitha repeating her blouses? why??? 😆

-- katha got a new blouse. still she looks boring. 😂

-- ehsaan's friend is jeetu bhai? poor ehsaan

-- viaan and aarav's conversation is weird. am sorry but this isn't cute -- no adult should be discussing their love life with some random child. you want to rant about your personal life, find someone your own age and get advice. why are you downloading inapporiate stuff into a 8 year old child?

talk cricket, karate, school, whatever. but not your love life viaan. moron!!!!!

-- katha looks really uncomfortable; like she wants to run for her life. hmmm. hardly love story material here

-- viaan skipping over waiter, what is wrong with him?! 🤦🤦

final verdict: no need to go back and watch earlier episodes for me. rather than a mature love story with mature characters, they have done some kitchidi. viaan got a brain transplant and soul switch. he was so much cooler and interesting in the earlier episodes. chalo, watch only for time pass. 🤷

okay mili -- the previous 3 episodes -- no patience to watch this starefest and the rest. 😆 so here are some random thoughts:

-- smriti: you are totally right, that was a smashing grey net sari from teji. she looked elegant, beautiful and rich. she has moved up the well-dressed ladder and even beaten mamaG. super! true highlight of that dumb episode. 😂

-- viaan and katha are both bonkers in my mind. neeraja said something -- "say what is in your heart katha" -- I think that is precisely the problem. now, I haven't seen the drama in two weeks when viaan decided to offload his feelings but here is what viaan has drawn from those convos -- that katha isn't averse to him per se but rather she has responsibilities (namely her son) and till then has no time for a personal relationship.

that is very different from saying "I do not want a realtionship because I don't feel romantic" or something like that. so basically viaan sees it as a half-rejection and hence, the whole "I will wait" approach. basically he is being a businessman where he is trying to sweeten the deal by waiting to strike at the right time.

his staring is not only stupid but so boring that I turned off the video. again, it falls into him believing that she is not averse to him and therefore it is okay for him to have his heart full by looking.

katha is doing mixed messaging where she is oblivious one second to his staring and the next intensely aware of him and also doing a bit of staring herself. so on some level, he feels that she is interested in him but because of being a single mother, she is holding back. that is very different from a full on rejection. so viaan's actions from that angle makes kind of absurd sense.

-- HOWEVER, this whole love story and the writing is totally bakwas. I ranted away in DT when the trip to lonowala happened -- their entire conversations made zero sense to me and how he seemed magically cured. the starting point for the downhill for the drama started there. also DT stopped being as buzzing when that happened. why? because the drama made no sense and he wasn't the livewire he was in the beginning of the drama.

-- again, we are seeing the same philosophy and majorly bad writing. he is in love and therefore magically has no bitterness towards love and relationships. what a bunch of foul smelling manure!!! 🙄🙄🙄

it would have made more sense character wise if he had struggled with falling in love and what means -- his father was also in love and destroyed the family unit for love. where is he processing his past and how it impacts the present? magically, now he is all for love?? 🤦🤦

he should have struggled to accept his feelings and wondered what to do with them. he should have struggled with whether he feels okay with feeling a sense of powerlessness -- this is the same guy who wanted to be in control that he proposed one night stand as a test. now he is okay with not being in the driver's seat. right, because love magically makes you a doormat.

instead of a grand livewire struggle, we had nothing. where is the angst? the hesitation? the fear? that is why the drama has become a total borefest.

part of the magic of ITV is when the characters struggle with falling in love and the viewers feel the push and pull and we are rooting for them to overcome the mountain. the push and pull has to come from both ML and FL and the journey to falling in love and accepting that love has to be a long one. no sudden light bulb moments -- when that happens, drama is essentially over.

here we have ML and FL who seem to have anasthesia injection dripped into their heart and therefore, every scene and reaction is all so clinical. 🤦🤦

who watches for sane? I want full on masala and dhoom tana tana music. 😆 a cartoon episode has more action and emotional pull than this drama.

right now, am watching out of force of habit. am not surprised to see the rumours that the drama is winding up. it does feel like it is being written by a B team who don't know how to write a complex ML in a complex personal relationship web. instead, they write the teenager version -- love is the antidote for all problems. 🙄

Why do all good shows have to be ruined? For any that have watched the original are these the same storyline - or is this called creativity 🤯

I watched the fanedit abridged version (so clips of only ML and FL for the most part) -- from what I remember, the ML never loses his intensity and there was real highwire feel to the romance. the root of it all was the one night stand and how it continued to impact far beyond the night. the FL really struggled with guilt and feeling like she sold herself and had no respect -- so she didn't want to be in a relationship with him as it reminded her of how far she fell. so much of the conflict was around accepting that night. that is what I remember.

The Batman-Robin angle is overly done.I am so frustrated with their scenes that I mute it whenever they come onscreen.

@mango.faloda - Agreed with you story seems to be lacking major drama element.. Angst you can say.. I will say intensity here.. Viaan was much intense in beginning suddenly he is very boring..🤔

I am surprised you have a lengthy post to make. 😂 I thought we are all done saying the same thing in different ways 😆 I have run out of things to say. Might switch to copy paste…..

I can't believe that he does not feel even guilty about approaching her -- it is like both have forgotten that it happened. if we see it logically, he should have struggled to even confess because he would be worried about the night and how it messed them both up.

Thats the problem with these shows, they take up a bold concept in the start and just whitewash it or say just see a easy way out of it making it more normal i would say.. Out of box could have been the way they would have integrated the very important night they shared.. ONS could have been revisit for Viaan's character for his realization that yes he was in love with her then and yes Katha after whole shamita's fiasco should have questioned him on why only her if he was so saint as he came out to be there... they just made it black and white.. did not try to explore grey there.. Before just declaring love to Katha Viaan should have been hesitant as he just experienced that she has not forgotten it during trial but na.. infact he went ahead and called her for dinner to propose.. n then lame drama.. Guilt part should have converted into a space between them.. that space would have made Katha realized that she misses him .. Viaan could have still being support to katha in any tough situation but standing far away behind.. not so over the top staring and making her uncomfortable.

@Bold - yes i too miss that feel..😒..kaash tumne woh galti na ki hoti.. way she said to him in starting promos..
