TROUBLESOME ACTIONS OF ML.........

😭😲🤢 I don't know how else to put it. I watched all 4 episodes in one go, so again, no specifics.

I got irritated by almost everybody except Mama G putting Papa G on the spot with " beti ke liye pareshaan ho, ya bahu ke liye"👏 I can't believe this is the only line/scene I liked in the last 4 episodes😒.

Most irritating and troublesome is our ML. I was so uncomfortable with his actions. I can't believe the makers thought of taking the ML down this route. Either they are too young with no kids or blinded to what they are doing with the MLs characterization😡. This is triggering to so many girls/women who have been through this kind of harassment.

Viaan is that guy from hell for those of us who have young, naïve kids💔If you attend any of the sessions the local police departments conduct about safety of children, predator awareness, these are the exact words they ask you to watch out for😒" This is our secret, your parents don't need to know. They will be unnecessarily stressed"🤢 No, I am not blaming Viaan R, so mere peeche teer, talwaar leke math aana😭. But those are the words verbatim, that real predators lure the kids with😭 I hate the whole romanticizing of this kind of priming of a child to hide secrets from the parents. 😵This is neither cute nor acceptable👎🏼

I can't say enough things about Viaan and his staring sprees😡💔🤬. I don't understand this guy standing while everybody is sitting around the table, only to keep staring at her. And what is with saving her from big, bad staplers, when he can't protect her from wagging tongues🤬 I think all the employees at Earthcon are blind or have a blinders on or too engrossed in their work that they have no clue what is going on around them. He walks in on a team meeting and group meetings only to stare at her🥺

Ehsaan even called him out for intruding in her life. Viaan R talks the talk, but doesn't walk the walk💔How do the makers not see this as cringeworthy and triggering for a lot of people who are subjected to this kind of nonsense, day in and day out😡

Katha looks mighty uncomfortable the minute she lays eyes on him and is patiently telling him that she is uncomfortable. Nothing makes a difference for Viaan and his staring. Unfortunately, it reflects the state of the affairs a lot of working women face in India😭. I cannot believe that the writers are completely clueless on this🤢

I hated everybody lecturing Katha how great of a guy Viaan is, from Ehsan, to Neerja to Kavitha💔 If my friend or my sister is complaining about a guy's advances in the office, do-chaar gaali mein bhi dedeti, not say, kahin tum love mein nahin ho😡🤢How does it matter to Katha how great of a prospective partner Viaan is, if she is not in the market for one☢️ I literally could shake everyone out of their stupidity🤬

The outing is another nonsense. I was second hand uncomfortable the whole episode with Viaan staring, making holes in his socks to show his mahaanta. Again Katha's discomfort and her smile vanishing the moment Viaan got announced to the team, made no difference to Viaan🤢Why couldn't they show that Sahil kid say, my socks, my wish and I love ventilated toes and shut the other guy up?Icing on the top is Katha's shirt to the picnic, she pulled it out of her boxes stacked away from college days😔

I am literally tired watching this week's episodes🤢. I don't even feel like I want to make fun of Viaan. I don't know how everybody else felt👎🏼

To be honest I skipped so many parts, but it doesn’t feel like I missed anything. I am hoping Kavitha will at least be the sane one here.

This part is absolutely disgusting. I agree, none of it is cute. I cannot imagine a mother not even being curious about this relationship. Every which way it has turned out, it is absolute nonsense.

Creepy and so cheap. I wanted to reach in and poke his eyes. How dare they show this kind of behavior as being alright, or even romantic! It’s all about him, his feelings, his beliefs. Anyone who has loved, will know that love is giving the other person what they want, definitely not taking liberties. It’s also not staring, staring and more staring, Ewww.

I just don’t get this- I can’t wrap my head around all these people ignoring what Katha is going through and instead telling her to embrace the staring.

Hey Mili, I'll write from your perspective for once as I can see that you are truly disturbed. I am sorry that I didn't properly acknowledge your concerns before. The simple truth is that most people don't actually know when they are being harassed or give it another name. I have been facing a situation for the past few years where someone has not been respecting my space. I just considered that person as annoying and having no respect for my space. Recently, a professional told me that the person was harassing me. That person took up so much of my space that everything he did ended up being a trigger for me. I will blame a lack of awareness and even education for my situation. If I write from the perspective of a common man, most of us side with Viaan because a) we find Adnan cute, and b)it's because we know Viaan and his intentions. We conclude that it's a story and it's ok. But it's not ok. We assume that Kaviaan will be endgame so Viaan's actions are justified. But if it were a villain, say Ehsan doing this, we will be repulsed. We accept or reject a situation as per our convenience. So, my sincere apologies my friend, for having let you down here for not acknowledging that Viaan was not respecting Katha's boundaries. Mili, I honestly don't recall a show where men have not been pushy and gone after what they wanted. We have been constantly shown these things that it has become normal behaviour. Hence, when a Mili who is on a board, raises these alarm points, some of us don't take it seriously by labelling it as fiction.

Coming back to the show, here are some of my comments:

- I liked Viaan's comments that he will walk with both his mother and Katha by his side. His actions are questionable but Adnan portrays the faith well. I am really liking Adnan the actor. There is something earnest about this guy's acting that he just pulls you in. I am a big fan of Aditi, but I have to admit that I found 2 gems in both Adnan and Samar.

- I like the new Ehsan. The bro scenes are cute. I like the fact that they included that part where Ehsan confesses that he realised Viaan's importance when he nearly lost him. We did not get a proper track for Ehsan but I appreciated the acknowledgement. I love Samar's scenes. In fact, I just love Samar the actor. He is an actor whom I want to follow. I pray and hope that he is not typecast as a hero's best friend. Samar reminds me a lot of Vikrant, and the latter certainly has been very wise and daring in choosing his projects. I don't understand people who only settle for ITV. When you love your craft, you should go all in. Call me naive but the certainty of that constant pay check cannot be justification for accepting the mediocre roles which are mostly on offer on ITV. Sorry, it's a touchy subject as my fav, maybe yours also, is doing a senseless drama.

- PapaG is another one who should be taught about boundaries. His wife was right to call him out. A father will want his daughter to be loved and settled down. The FIL will only be concerned about his grandson. I am glad that MamaG's good fashion sense is back!

- Reet

We need a vamp but this one is just a malicious and selfish person, who seems to begrudge other people's happiness. M, if you are back, I liked Reet's orange dress. Finally one which I liked!

- I don't understand how Katha is okay not knowing Robin, and how can Robin encourage Batman having secrets from his mother. At this point, I will really sympathize with you Mili. Writers are crossing lines to depict the cuteness of Batman-Robin scenes.

There is really no substance left in this show. It's pure time pass at this point. I have nothing to say about Viaan's characterization either because I feel like I would be wasting my time since it doesn't look like he will go back to being his old self and those creepy stares... ughhh don't even get me started on that. This show had so much potential but idk what went wrong. It might be better to just finish the love story and end it instead of turning it into another typical ITV sh*t show.

For me, I think since I have seen all 4 episodes in one go, I was boiling every time I saw Viaan do his staring in front of everybody while Katha is uncomfortably squirming🤬It was simply too much to handle. All shows have MLs pushing for what they want and we are all desensitized to things like this😔.It is very sad indeed

Agreed about Adnaan👍🏼. There is a sincerity and honesty about that guy with his acting. This is the first time I am watching him. I like this Ehsaan and the actor too, always been an easy going guy who would give people an instant comfort with his banter and presence. However, the makers have totally glossed over the narrative with 2 high powered guys from the company making unwanted advances against a single, hardworking woman😡 Thankfully, Ehsaan backed out😊 Thank the heavens for small mercies.

I am in agreement with the feeling Viaan keeps sharing that he is happy, as he was able to express himself and now nothing is in his hands👍🏼 I can relate to that feeling of utter submission to a power beyond us, when we have done everything we could😒. I wish he stopped there and I would have been so satisfied. But he doesn't, that is where my problem is

I have been in rant mode for the last couple of weeks about every thing you say here😅!! I have finally reached a point with this show where 1) I am partly watching because it’s become a habit and 2) because I really do like Adnan and Aditi as actors and I absolutely loved their crackling chemistry in the initial few months of the show & I feel like sticking around for them.

The problem with this show’s makers is that they picked a very bold and unusual theme, but then either didn’t have enough guts or the channel interfered or were too afraid of audience acceptance of the ML and the love story (maybe a combination of all three) they completely watered down the ML’s characterisation. The redemption arc was pretty well done till the point of realisation. Then began the whitewashing of the ML to make him palatable to the ITV audience. So they have been going overboard with turning him into a Saint with a heart of gold who would put mother Teresa to shame🤣. And that has been the main undoing of the show. They had to find a balance between showing how he was actually an inherently good person without watering down his angst, his childhood trauma and how it had affected his personality. Even when one finds the root cause of trauma & comes to terms with it on a rational level, it takes months if not years to exorcise these ghosts to bring about s change in behaviour. I know in a Tv show you cannot go down that path in great detail but the personality change over night became the undoing of the show. Agree Adnan is a fabulous actor and actually quite adorable in the lighter scenes as a shy, funny, sweet chap but they should have shown his sunny demeanour interspersed with bouts of angst & self doubt. That would have been so much more relatable. Having worked with people dealing with trauma so can vouch for the fact that it is not such an easy breezy road…it’s always one step forward and three steps backward. Had they taken that route, Katha could have been shown to be witness to the inner damage to him and maybe slowly built up the love story with more depth and pathos. Anyway all water under the bridge now. I do feel bad for the all the lost potential with fabulous actors.

I will continue watching because there are still flashes of beauty here and there and it’s still better than EK crap out there 🤣!

PS…Don’t even get me started on the Batman Robin thing now…What they are showing is absolute nonsense and reflects pretty poorly on Katha as a mother🙄.

As for the staring sessions I am exhausted from my rants on that…it gets me too worked up so will refrain from saying anything more on the subject 😠
