The most practical would be Katha left Earthcon and working on another company but the story will not continue for the serial.

Right now it is like friendly colleague and she understood Viaan is getting feeling for her so she wants to clear it. It seems practical to me.

@bold: True😆....but they showed at that time that she wasn't getting a job anywhere else and she badly needed a job so she came back to Earthcon only.

But I still don't think she's being practical because like I said, she has complicated history with Viaan because of the ONS....to actually be practical, she should avoid interacting with him. Instead she is busy fiercely defending him in front of his mom😆, then in front of the whole Board, feeling so upset if she sees him sad....none of this will let things stay in "friendly colleague" zone because they already have an intimate history because of that one night as well as so much emotional baggage from it.

Katha is not being practical, she is just avoiding the main issue and kicking the can down the road. It will come back to bite her just like it did when she angrily asked Viaan that question during the Shamita case. Then she will feel bad seeing him feeling sad and hurt again😆

@bold, she got the job and almost resign from Earthcon but she got motivated by Viaan's speech and ditch new job. 😆

@red, all this come after Viaan helped Katha in finding Aarav and then Dodo's help. It is like repay of help.

The definition of practical depend upon person to person. Someone want to become friend to their x partner and someone want to totally avoid their x.

In this case common link is their job due to which they have to interact and can't avoid.

Katha does not realise that she is already in a little deep now as far as Viaan is concerned. She has a blind spot for him but is completely unaware of it and so wants to friend-zone him. I understand where she is coming from...she does not think she has the space in her life for another chance at falling in love. So she wants to let him know there is no future for them. I think she has mentally written off ever having another man in her life after Adi.

But every time there is something involving him, be it the 50th anniverasry AV, be it confronting Teji about how she was hurting Viaan, or the Shamita allegation she mostly reacts emotionally wherever Viaan is concerned. She makes it her responsibility to protect him from getting hurt, to shield him. Why does she care so deeply for him that she does not want him to be hurt. She herself breaches the boundaries between their relationship of boss and employee. During the trial her restlessness was not just because she was reliving her own nightmare but because she was torn up about him.

She wanted to know...Kaun hain aap?

She got the answer to her question loud and clear by the time the trial was wrapped up...she knows his deepest feelings for her, she knows he was innocent, she knows he has truly changed after the ONS from the way he was ready to forgive Shamita and move on. She understands why he did what he did. She enjoys being around him, like today when he joked after she arrived late she actually smiled genuinely and seemed happy for a second till she remembered that she had come to freind-zone him. So from Katha's POV she is being practical...by thinking with her logical brain and curbing this budding relationship before it takes root.

But like you said, Katha thinks with her heart and the truth about her feelings for Viaan will come and hit her suddenly. I hope they don't make it about his bonding with Aarav...She should fall in love with Viaan independent of his relationship with Aarav. That does not mean she has to act on it...that will be another big hurdle. I keep going back to that Maharani's poem about Heer Ranjha...'Baat yeh nahin ki Ranjhe ne Heer se kya kaha ki Heer uski ho gayi; Baat yes hai ki Heer ne Ranjhe main aisa kya dekha ki woh khud Ranjha ho gayi' Then all practicality will be out the window🥱

@Bold - Yes very well put in, Katha has developed a soft spot for Viaan from the time Ehsan told her about his past and things she encountered later on about his personality. She feels protective about him and thus had the urge to tell his mother to stop emotionally abusing his son like this. There are many subtle instances of Katha's interest and soft spot for Viaan. Why did she got impacted by his Katha tum mujhse baat kyu nahi karti ho.. and then she instantly recognised that poem which was being read was for her. She is in denial phase for now. May be thats why they have showed us that she wanted to convey her no but she is not able to and with time she will realise that she has started feeling for him and is allowed to feel in that way and move on in life.

Exactly...she was struggling to get her no across as much as Viaan was struggling to put his feelings in front of her! Of course there were external distractions and disturbances but there was some hesitation on her part too...cause again she is afraid of hurting his feelings. I think without either one expressing their feelings they will move into the next level 🤣....the external factors will contribute I guess...Mr G, Teji, Ehsaan..Aarav who knows🥱

@bold: THANK YOU😆.....That line sums up exactly why Katha's attempts at practicality are a delusion. I was wondering if what I said was so out of left field that everyone here was trying to convince me that Katha is actually being practical for real😕😆

The whole point is that Katha THINKS she is being practical but her actions are not jiving with the claims of practicality. She has herself breached the boundaries of boss and employee between herself and Viaan by reacting so emotionally in his case to many things....so that genie isn't going back into the bottle. And even if we put aside her emotional reactions, the way she keeps staring at him with these big haunted eyes, unable to look away so many times - seriously how is THAT being practical either?😆

I'm yet to watch today's epi so can't speak to what happened today but this was just my read off of her reactions from yesterday's epi. I'm used to the typical denial from FLs in such cases and how these stories go of widow struggling with second chance at love....but Katha's reactions were feeling weird even by those standards😆. It's mainly because they keep her POV so vague these days....she's honestly felt static as a character since a few weeks now whereas every emotion Viaan is going through is communicated to us loud and clear. All we have to go on Katha-wise is her giving confused or thoughtful looks all the time😆

Heer-Ranjha toh seems like a far cry right now for these two....lol they rarely give that kind of mature evolution of love in a second chance love story on ITV.....it usually jumps from the FL doing denial, denial, denial to suddenly FOREVER LOWE😆....

Hey thanks....lol Aditi has lovely, emotive eyes and the makers are definitely using that to their full benefit for the story rather than giving Katha any POV dialogues😆

I just caught up on today's episode and enigma is SO the word for the approach they are using with Katha.....lol amazing that they could build a whole scene around Katha and Viaan TRYING to talk to each other and getting CONSTANTLY thwarted😆.....there is so much to read in the scene if you just look at their eyes.....the hope rising and falling in Viaan's eyes each time Katha looks at him warmly or smiles at him.....lol and Katha looking at Viaan expectantly in between as if waiting for him to say something first😆

At the end of the scene, we are still left clueless about what Katha even wanted to say to him😆....all we can do is try to gather something from the emotions in her eyes which did seem mostly like a mixed bag....one can't even fully tell if she has feelings for Viaan but wants to shut him down out of "practicality" or it's actually that she just feels a general platonic friendly fondness for him😆. Only major clue is the omnipresent AWKWARDNESS between them.....the charged air that speaks even through the silences😆

If I take today's scene as a clue, communication will continue to be a challenge for KV - especially if Viaan has now come clean to Ehsan about his feelings for Katha....don't think that's going to sit well with Ehsan no matter what happy face he puts up of "hum toh bhai hain"😆....the way he showed up to interrupt KV at dinner today makes it seem like he will continue to come between them in any way he can even if he tries to play "supportive bhai" to Viaan otherwise....lol....Viaan continues to give benefit of doubt to Ehsan even after he has done cheap underhanded things to Viaan many times....lol all the best to Viaan for whatever comes his way from this point on.

And continuing on the topic of the lines blurring between boss and employee......

Today when Viaan asked Katha if she had believed he was guilty at any point during the investigation, Katha could have easily answered ki I don't know you enough to make that judgement.....instead she made it all about her own past baggage with the ONS that she didn't want to be biased because of that. LOL any time she has an easy/open opportunity to draw lines between herself and Viaan, she doesn't take it.....and instead diverts onto some other tangent usually involving a reference to the ONS baggage😆

Then after doing all this, she wants to tell him he shouldn't get any ideas about emotional closeness with her😆....is she wanting to avoid the heartbreak for him or she basically wants to have her cake and eat it too? lol matlab continue interacting with Viaan on these terms without drawing clear boundaries while at the same time telling him he's getting too emotionally attached?😆

Even with all the interruptions that happened today, it seemed like she was fighting a losing battle in being able to achieve that. It will definitely come out in the form of an outburst again.....lol all this attempt at calm conversation clearly isn't there in their destiny....emotional outburst mein niklega kuch hurtful phir se in Katha wanting to shut down Viaan's feelings for her and by then who even knows how much more of a majnu Viaan will have become😆

Katha has always hesitated to draw a line between them. I remember during the Lonavala trip when she opened up a little to him and he actually started asking some very personal questions about her and Adi and about falling in love, I almost expected her to shut him up any minute curtly and just keep their conversation pleasant but impersonal. But she becomes completely relaxed in his company, let’s her guard down and opens up about her deeper wounds. She answers his questions with a simple honesty and is alternately amused/fascinated/protective by & for the man-child inside Viaan…the one who grew up very lonely & unhappy.

The ONS binds them in a very twisted intimate way. Once she moved past the hurt and anger around it, and saw him for who he really is, she opened up to him because she too has missed having a companion/friend who she can share her insecurities, struggles with. Even though Dodo seems to be that person now but we don’t see Katha sharing too much of her feelings with her either. In front of everyone else she puts up a very brave front of the invincible Katha. But because both of them have seen each other at their most vulnerable there is something invisible that binds them to each other. For Viaan that has become love, for Katha in her mind it’s only friendship with a lot of confusing feelings 🥱!! Like you said one of these days that suppressed emotion of what she is holding back will get triggered and come out in an uncontrolled manner where she may end up hurting his feelings or expressing something which will again change the dynamic of their relationship! Wait and watch 🥱
