if they have to use the gaana, why not use the melody track of the gaana?

there's this show I started watching couple months ago on hotstar (it aired on star bharat), it had such an overdose of bollywood gaane that it irritated the crap out of me.. I mean chemistry was superb par har scene me naya gaana.. ek hi episode me 3-4 naye gaane sunne milte the.. it was so so distracting I couldn't enjoy and stopped watching.. as you said they could try creating melody track or something but itna dimaag kaha 🙄

bepannah was the only drama that I came across having its own two songs. rather than copying, they created something new. am really glad they did because none of the bollywood gaana would have fit the theme. so having something new not only fit the mood but the lyrics was so apt for the theme. such a great combo of meaningful lyrics and melody. I wish more dramas would do the same.

I am enjoying the use of bgm for this drama and I hope they don't drown out the romance with random use of bollywood gaana. I would prefer if they created something new like with bepannah that fit the theme and mood of the characters. especially when the theme is atypical, it doesn't feel like the regular gaana would fit their romantic vibe.

I absolutely loved bepannah songs! I still play those songs❤️❤️ also, kuch rang pyaar ke... And barrister Babu had their own tracks and they were beautiful! Barrister Babu had "Rishta Tera mera" song which had different lyrics for different situations ❤️❤️

And yes, this show has amazing bgm! The one in the promo, the violin one is superb

didn't watch bepannah but heard the songs on YT.. I love them!! also shaurya aur anokhi show on sitara had its song which I love so much I still listen to it 😍 I really hope we get a new song here for this show too 🤞 (there's already one 'Kaisi Agaan Ye Laagi Re' track which they used for the ONS episode, that was good!)

Yes man look at those eyes of his. No one stares at a person like that if they are not attracted to them. In fact, when she rejected his proposal at first why else would he have shown that relief on his face that he had if he wasn’t attracted to her.

Hi. Sorry for butting into the conversation. Been a silent reader of this forum & I love all your takes! Seen you talk about bepannaah a few times & that got me curious if it’s your favourite itv show? Because frankly the theme they took up wasn’t done justice to. Would like to hear your thoughts & see if I can see the show in different light (especially because I love it’s actors & still couldn’t convince myself about the storyline). Of course, the songs are a delight! Even I wish KA makers could compose a more meaningful & situation describing song, which would instantly remind me of katha and viaan’s dynamics.

yes I enjoyed it -- like all ITV, the first season was done well. then it went downhill. 😂. then ratings fell and they wrapped it up quickly but at least everything made sense. I did recommend it to a few non-desi online drama friends (from kdrama circle) and they also enjoyed it. I think it depends on your taste. it is one of the few ITV dramas I have re-watched. bepannah really was raw in terms of the characters finding out they were cheated on and how they deal with the aftermath. and the confusion of being the only two who get each other. ❤️

what I loved about the story was that zoya and aditya loved passionately but they were a bit of a failure when it came to being a good spouse though neither was aware of it till after. so those are not the type of themes you would see in ITV -- to acknowledge that FL and ML are not mahaan and suck? that itself is unusual if you think about it.

otherwise, ITV tends to glorify these characters and never acknowledge their flaws. in most dramas, the cheaters are always shown as negative and bepannah tried to be more humane and show that marriage is a complicated dynamic and it is not black and white when it comes to a breakdown in relationships. so lots of things that were different and still feel fresh in some ways.

it was also mature FL and ML -- neither are in their early 20s and being silly. they had already lived a life and then we meet them at their very lowest. normally it is about the ML resuing the FL from some sort of misery. here, both are swirling in a storm when they meet. so yea lots of stuff I really enjoyed; the chemistry was superb! 🥰

in terms of the viewing experience, it was my first IF drama forum and I had a real blast. we laughed a lot, trolled away, dissected and simply swooned at other times. so that made it that much more enjoyable.

Nothing in life is black and white, even cheating.

I usually don't watch ITV serials, so never watched bepannah despite the intriguing concept. although I always wonder, why did the characters cheat on their spouses? they seemed so in love.

basically they showed that love isn't enough. so zoya was terrible at finances and other things. she was more intersted in hiding out in her hometown. so this meant her husband had to figure out things on his own and didn't feel comfortable telling his financial troubles with her. instead of confiding in her, yash ends up sharing his concerns with priya. aditya was more of a goofball and was happy but it didn't feel like a marriage to priya. she felt like she was taking care of him and he was more of a friend than a husband. she felt like she couldn't talk to him as a husband seriously about anything. so both yash and priya try really hard but they end up forming a friendship and that turns into love and affair.

bepannah in that was interesting because normally they won't acknowledge that a marriage was broken or struggling already.

Viaan looked so awkward saying this. Adnan does nuanced acting really well.
