Today she said they need to talk about the past but as soon as he starts loosing his control she goes mute and shut herself inside the room. They both haven't moved on and I don't blame them but at least she should have done something for her child.

I always connected the mothers of the show. Katha, Mrs Grewal and Mrs. Raghuvanshi. Two of them have a son and one had.

We don't know how Mrs. Grewal was with her son but from what we know she was a dotting mother, the one who played the mediator between her husband and son.

And Katha, she is not perfect. She is a good mother but at the same time she is struggling to give time to her son. She is someone who can go to any lengths for her kid.

And then there is Mrs. Raghuvanshi, the most different one, I feel she is the possessive kind. It does feel like she didn't want him to move on, or that she didn't want him to stop how he treats her, like last time she said, she likes his attention. She is going to be a wall between Katha and Viaan in future.

And I agree with what you said about Viaan.

Mrs Raghuvanshi has the traits of krpkab's dev Dixit (if you have watched the show) mother.. Possessive, manipulative and doesn't let her son move from past always keeping him on the loop of sadness. Viaan's mom is also same like ishwari Dixit. This type of mil is so difficult to deal with especially if the son is a mumma's boy.. Here viaan doesn't seem like a mumma's boy though.

It clearly state how parents “ trauma “ affect the mental health of the children

Viaan in brought up in such negative house hold where he lacks Basic human values

He will grow ... Even with his ugly & weirdo nature he still saved Arav’s life in a more twisted way !

There was no one giving her the money

Every one preaches !!

When come to reality esp financially the most sweet talking one might run away

In a way he is good and bad at the same time

Adnaan is fantastic in portraying “ Viaan’s madness”

Adithi is marvelous too

as time goes on, I expect we are all going to be more intrigued by viaan's madness because it is interesting to watch and not so typical at all.

and yes, our relationship with our parents and relatives can impact what baggage we bring into our relationships. we basically learn in our childhood notions about love, respect, values etc. so whatever we see around us, the events we went through and whatever people we came across -- that is going to impact how we evaluate relationships and what we want from them.

one of my colleagues once was telling me about this girl she knew -- her mother was a very bitter divorcee. basically she wanted to work but the family was very conservative and so they ended up divorced. she hated the ex-husband/father and taught the girl that it is better do one night stands/flings/live-ins but never get married.... sometimes, what we went through affects our future and we aren't aware of it.

this will be a very different love story if they do it well.

Based on what his talk that evening to Ehsan before he proceeded towards that dark night hinted, Viaan is not a casual dating / one night type of guy, he is more into serious emotional attachments who takes time. 😛 Ehsan didn't want to rub his wounds, so he stopped conversation there.

Its not just about his father leaving mother for another woman in his teenage years that has caused trauma, its also about Viaan himself might be betrayed by his girl friend in recent years (or he assumes so?) that made him skeptical about love with prejudiced opinion that women mostly are behind rich men, for money. 😔 He isn't marring yet, because he has serious trust issues and low opinions about opposite sex.

Some FB scenes or monologues of his past love life should have been hinted to viewers by now to be able to slowly connect to his character.

he is not a mamma's boy as he is very independent and makes his own decisions regardless of what anyone thinks. but she has a strong leech hold on him where she makes him feel guilty. basically she will suffocate him even if he finds a bit of happiness because she will be sitting at home moaning about how her life turned out. so he then does not go out or make friends or have any sort of life outside of work -- that is partly because of her. she has sucked out any possibility for him to be happy because that will make her more unhappy and remind her of what she has lost.

And I thought exactly the same. Like she is trying to seduce someone with a glass of whiskey but instead it was a book.

But they are mother and child. 🤢

Me too found her posture very seductive... She doesn't look like mother yaar so her scenes comes across as creppy.

Yes, exactly the same. I haven't followed the show much but know how Ishwari Dixit was.

Yeah, he doesn't seem like a mummy'a boy but that mother has a hold on him. Kind of a control.
