so plot wise, viaan asking for 2nd ONS (as expected) makes sense. he is totally confused by this woman and does not know how to react to her. I found it interesting that he keeps repeating jeetu bhai's words -- right or wrong depends on perspective, put yourself in katha's shoes. so that is what he does.

he tries to think from her angle and then is confused on why she needs the money and why that specific amount? why didn't she just take that offer from pyramid instead? he wonders why she does not seem to have made any material changes like many he sees around in his circle -- nouveau rich who are immediately splashing their wealth by upgrading their clothes and showing off their designer handbags, shoes and sunglasses. why isn't she behaving like one of those women? that is his frame of reference.

katha ofcourse is not giving him anything and wants him to stay away. but the more distance she tries to put, the more he is intrigued -- she is a mystery that is eating him up because she does not fit his preconceived boxes of women. that leaves him vulnerable because he is not sure how to approach her.

what does it matter to him? because he is interested in her and he is petrified on some level. is he like his father who will end up falling for a gold digger and ruining his life? he needs to know katha's mettle before he can decide how to proceed -- he is a softie at heart and he is afraid to let her in because she has the ability to not just break but crush his heart into the ground.

so we will see him throwing out that second one night stand yet again to see if money is what is driving her or if his instincts about her are right.

while it is messed up, the drama clearly makes us understand that falling in love isn't some magic portion that is going to heal all your hurts. if you have some some of trauma or baggage from your childhood or your past relationships and you haven't dealt with them in a healthy manner, you will bring those negative feelings and thoughts into every relationship you go forward. and that will destroy you as well as any person who crosses your path. so the takeaway from the drama -- heal yourself if you want a relationship.

Woww.. Now it makes some sense to me as to why makers are hellbent on 2nd ons proposal despite audience reaction... You have put it so well... It's so true that past trauma do affect people's future relationships. Their vision is based on their past experience and they react according to that perspective. We are so used to see ml or fl in full white shade that it's difficult to process a grey shaded ml with his own flaws and mistakes.

that is the thing -- he does not know katha at all or the type of woman she is and why it would be insulting. unfortunately for him, he has only come across those women who all want to jump him for his money just like that ex-employee. now, if he had offered this same deal to that woman, she would have agreed to it without a second thought. the problem is that he has been approached by only women like that -- so this makes him think that his only plus is his money. so in a way, what else does he have to offer a woman he is interested in besides money? so he is stuck in this convoluted loop -- he is interested in her and he wishes she was not like everyone else but if she is, then he is going to essentially buy her time. that is what the second one night stand will boil down to. like how some men shower women with over-the-top gifts to keep them in their lives, he is offering her cold cash to spend time with her. weird, but lets go with the story!

yea, the mom is bit creepy. am having a feeling that the dad was actually happy with this other woman. so it broke her heart that she was dumped and to make herself feel better, she made it that the other woman only wanted money and was a gold digger. that the dad was misled. basically it was the mom's way of coping.

viaan is stuck as a teenager still not able to recover from that incident. so he is still hurting because he can't even talk about it with anyone, has barely any friends and basically throws himself into work. at the same time, he is haunted by the idea that he might resemble his father in more than just physical features. so yes, the second ONS offer makes sense given the psychology. it is needed for him to break free from that dungeon he has cornered himself into.

And I do agree, that mom is creepy. At first I thought it was because of the actress, then thought they don't really look like mother and son. But today she was giving me odd vibes.

Today she said they need to talk about the past but as soon as he starts loosing his control she goes mute and shut herself inside the room. They both haven't moved on and I don't blame them but at least she should have done something for her child.

I always connected the mothers of the show. Katha, Mrs Grewal and Mrs. Raghuvanshi. Two of them have a son and one had.

We don't know how Mrs. Grewal was with her son but from what we know she was a dotting mother, the one who played the mediator between her husband and son.

And Katha, she is not perfect. She is a good mother but at the same time she is struggling to give time to her son. She is someone who can go to any lengths for her kid.

And then there is Mrs. Raghuvanshi, the most different one, I feel she is the possessive kind. It does feel like she didn't want him to move on, or that she didn't want him to stop how he treats her, like last time she said, she likes his attention. She is going to be a wall between Katha and Viaan in future.

And I agree with what you said about Viaan.

we are used to seeing mahaan FLs who do weird saving techniques. here, katha really has to save viaan from himself. we can already see him putting his mark on her -- he is possessive in the sense he asks where she is going and when she is a bit late, follows her into the hall. that is typical boyfriend/hubby type behaviour but he is doing that without thinking.

this won't be everyone's cup of tea but I hope the drama doesn't do shortcuts when it comes to this love story and shows how painful it is for people with traumas to form relationships. people want romance and make a huge list for partner. how many look first at themselves and see if they are ready for marriage? for a relationship? to share their heart with someone? sometimes, we wonder why we are alone but if we are pushing people away, then simply getting into a relationship isn't going to magically fix those hurts. people think love is magical but that is actually BS. you have to first be good with yourself. otherwise, we will self-sabotage any good relationship ourselves. it does not matter if they are the love of your life.

Viaan in brought up in such negative house hold where he lacks Basic human values

He will grow ... Even with his ugly & weirdo nature he still saved Arav’s life in a more twisted way !
