hey jw 🤗 what i meant by robbie's college life and me not being able to relate to it, was cuase i wasnt the popular, partying type of person...i think college life is pretty much the best time of our lives, we have that stress of studying but also we are teetering on teh brink of adulthood as well..😃

It was a fantastic part 👏 . The way you have progressed the story briefly instead of elaborating is very good. Please keep it that way and the way you have highlighted only Roka dialogues 😳 …just love it please keep it that way 😆 . I really like the way you are telling the story focussing on Roka 😉 …too good. Robbie is too cute the way he checks up on girish…his aggresiveness when it comes to kasturi. And the end was a shocker…never liked the fact that he had gone so ahead of having a physical relation with Anita ..but he has done that in the show also…so maaf 😆 …akhir uska dil sirf kasturi ke liye hain! 😳

When will you update again…please do it soon..cant wait to know this Anita's funda 😡 😆 .

Thanks for the appreciation 😊 ...am glad you liked it 😳 ...this part had scenes and dialogues thats why it seemed more focused...else I write in the same manner always....And my whole story is focused largely on Robbie-Kasturi...even the earlier parts...though the dialogues are spoken by a child-teenaged Robbie and Kasturi....Thanks again

PART 7

Kasturi is stunned and for a few seconds both Kasturi and Robbie do not speak a word. It is Robbie who speaks first…

Robbie in a very shaken voice: You remember after the Vasant Vihar fight and that Anita was upset with me…I, ..I had promised to spend a day with her. Last Saturday….. you knew I was going to Surajkund (a tourist spot near the outskirts of Delhi)…I told you we ended up arguing…Anita once again created a big issue regarding you and me….and …and I decided to call it quits….I was tired of explaining about us and that you are important to me…..Plus I told her that I knew that she was just treating me as some eye candy. Showing me off ….capitalising on my popularity ….And most importantly I knew about Manish and that she was two timing me…..Anita denied it….But I had proof …Ariv and I had been keeping a watch on her ….we even noticed her spending time in Manish's barsaati ('Barsaati' is a typical Delhi word for a terrace studio apartment) …..I had…. I had enough of this. I still put up with her because I thought I can't just give up on relationships like this …Anita got hysterical ….she just kept denying it ……and threatened that she will commit suicide…..while pacifying her …..it …it….it just happened.

Silence……..

Robbie looking at a still shaken Kasturi: Kash…

Kasturi, now livid: Apne careless living ko cover up mut karo Robbie!!!…How could you Goddammit!!!!….how the bloody hell could you!!!!

Kasturi steps back …Robbie tries to reach out to her: Kash…..

Kasturi: DON'T touch me!!!!....shit I don't believe this…..

Tears well up in her eyes and Robbie almost chokes trying to stop a sob…..he just hopelessly falls on the ground

Silence………….

Kasturi, trying to get a grip over herself,…..making some sense of the situation,…trying to confront him….trying hard not to scream out hoarse…trying to deal with her own feelings…...trying to do just too many things at the same time……..

Kasturi clutching her forehead with her hand: Shit…Dammitt!!!!......hell….were you two even ready for it….you think this is some kind of a bloody joke!!!!!

Robbie is now crying……

Kasturi aggressively coming up to him and roughly holding his face with her hand and moving it away in disgust: Kya karte ho Robbie……And agar yeh karna hi tha to haven't you heard of using protection DAMMITT!!!!

Robbie just slumps to the ground.

Kasturi: Saari hoshiyaari sirf ghar mein and hum par dikhate rehte ho…..tumhara kya bigad raha hai…problem to woh bechari ladki ko hai…

Robbie: woh

Kasturi: Don't justify OK!!!!!....kitne baar hamare parents ne kahaan hai ke hamesha apne daayre mein raho….apni zimmedariyon ko samjho….

Robbie: Kash, it just happened …she was not listening and she wanted to be assured…

Kasturi interrupting him: To yeh tarika dhoonda tumne assure karne ka…..apne gair zimmedaari ko assurance ka naam mat do Robbie!!!!...Aur yeh rubbish manghadat kahani bund karo…

Robbie, trying to explain: Yeh kahani nahi hai Kash….mein kuch cover up nahi kar raha tha …she led me to it …..believe me please Kash please….ek baar meri baat suno…please

Kasturi wound up: Kya suno Robbie…..that a girl told you to do that….

Robbie frantically trying to explain to her: Yes she did Kash!!!…I told you I had called it quits…I know Anita does not love me….bloody hell she NEVER DID!!!!...I was walking out of this relationship….Mentally I had called it off much earlier, only my responsibility towards her kept me going…but the Manish incidents just put me off….she just couldn't take a no…I tried to move away so many times…she just clinged to me dammitt……

Kasturi gesticulating wildly: She just couldn't take a no…is that your take!!!…..she couldn't take a no!!!....ek baar mein yeh baat maan bhi lun to phir bhi… why did you let it happen

Robbie exasperated: Kash come on…there is something called just a reaction….she was sobbing, clutching me…kaise samjhaon mein tumhe.

Kasuti: Oh Yeah!!…..dont even try to….what the hell…

Robbie at his wits end: Mein baar baar keh raha hun it happened in the moment…

Silence………………

Kasturi: How is she?
Robbie: She is upset but ok….Kash……Kash
Kasturi angrily: Kash Kash kya ….

Robbie: She wants an abortion…..kyunki we are still studying and not ready …. and…

Kasturi comes towards Robbie and slaps him hard across his face!!!

Kasturi lividly: Besharmi ki bhi koi hadd hoti hai Robbie….maze lut ke now you WANT THAT GIRL TO ABORT!!!!!…what the hell do you think this is!!!!! ….

Robbie stunned: Kash

Kasturi: SHUT UP…..sheeeee… mujhe hairaani ho rahi hai that you are my friend….

Robbie horrified: Kasturi meri baat to suno!!!!….I don't want the abortion…Anita wants to abort…She said no one knows about us at home….She said she is ready to abort provided I do agree to speak at home about her and we get engaged….I offered to do that even now…accept all the blame…..even listen to everything….I was ready to walk out of the relationship but now no matter what disgust I felt for Anita I am ready to stand by her. I am ready to father the baby…jo kuch bhi hua was my mistake….

Kasturi: Father the baby!!!!…do you even know what that means…nahi tum to chalen ek innocent jeev ko maarne

Robbie angrily: MEIN KISIKO MAARNA NAHI CHAHTA!!

Kasturi equally angrily: TO AUR KYA HAI YEH

Robbie desperately: Kash your promise…Mom ki promise….tum jo soch rahi ho waisa nahi hain…I did not force myself on her….And I am not shrugging off my responsibility…..I am ready to take care of her…accept her…talk to Mom-Dad about her

Kasturi irately: Get out!!!...Get out of here!!!

Robbie disbelieving and very emotionally: Kash, please

Kasturi turns her back to him: Get out!!!

And an absolutely traumatized, disconsolate Robbie leaves………

Kasturi just stands still, the way she was when Robbie left. After some minutes she just slumps to the ground….and cries her heart out…..She cries because she cannot believe Robbie did this…She cries because Robbie finally did get physical with someone…She cries because Robbie behaved irresponsibly….Her idol…Her hero…the person she has always looked up to …the person who in her eyes could do no wrong….. had done it…She cried because her confidence in him was shaken…She cried for the reason that her belief that he would always do the most perfect thing and never cross his boundaries was broken…

She cried because today the slight hope that Robbie was only hers has died…..She cried because somewhere as a typical young hopeful girl in love, she hoped that when this beautiful moment arrives in their lives it will together for Robbie and her……

She got up and opened her cupboard…inside, on a shelf were some items related to Robbie…the first green aeroplane they shared as a toy…his baby toy machine gun …his first guitar note …the gifts he had given her…..Kasturi touched each and every one of it and cried…..

And then ……..as she touched every gift he had given her……..She cried because she had hurt him with her words today…She cried because she was mean and nasty to him…She cried because Robbie had come to her for support and she threw him out…She cried because he made a mistake and was genuinely sorry but she did not give him a chance….She cried because the one person she truly loved and cared for was out there somewhere traumatized and totally broken and she did not even try to hear him out …She cried because for the first time she physically hurt him by slapping the one person that was her life ….

Kasturi banged her hand that had slapped Robbie against the floor ….and cried

"Kasturiiiiiiiiiiii, puttar neeche aa jaa….chai rakhi hai…" Kaushalya's call brought Kasturi out of her sorrow. She went to the wash-room and washed her face and tidied herself up. As she stepped down Kaushalya saw her and asked …worried…"Kya hua …aisi kyun lag rahi hai??".

Kasturi replied "Maa woh Robbie ke saath jhagda hua to mood off hai"…
Kaushalya disapprovingly…"Bachpana nahi gaya ab tak tum donon ka …..zaroor tune hi kuch kiya hoga…kyun satate rehti hai mere Robbie ko…"…Kasturi pained "Maa mein Robbie ko milke aati hun"….Kaushalya…"Jaldi aana…aur yeh sab jhagde bund karo".

Kasturi goes to the backyard of the house…the sort of clearing where Robbie and she first met…She knows that he will be there…..its the one place he always is when he is disturbed….

She walks up to the benches under the peepul tree…Robbie is sitting despondent on one of the benches….Kasturi walks up to him and stands before him. His head is bowed down dejected. She says, in a tear soaked voice…"I am sorry Robs"….He looks up ….into her eyes….and slowly nods his head as though there is no need to say sorry….they both just look at each other for a couple of seconds….no further sentence is spoken ….and ….Robbie just draws her close, hugs her, burying his head in a standing Kasturi's stomach and just cries….

Kasturi, herself emotional, just holds him while he gains back his composure….She has got a bottle of water with her …As Robbie gains back his bearings she wipes of his tears and offers him a sip of water.

Now….

Kasturi: Ab mujhe saari baat phir se batao….
And Robbie tells her everything…his experiences with Anita, how he suspected her, what confirmed the suspicions….when did he distance himself….how Ariv and he found out about the Manish incidents….the Surajkund outing…and how what happened finally happened.

Kasturi: When did she find this out ?
Robbie: Yesterday
Kasturi: What did the doctor say?
Robbie unsure: Doctor???…I don't think Anita has been to a doctor
Kasturi: Kya!!!!...to phir kaise pata chala usey
Robbie: She missed her monthly cycle…and

Kasturi is furiously thinking….
Robbie…knowing she is on something important …so asks cautiously: Kash, kya soch rahi ho??

Kasturi thinking out aloud: Tum dono Surajkund Saturday to gaye…..aaj Thursday hai…..itne jaldi…..itne jaldi kaise pata chala about pregnancy…..

Robbie: Maine bhi yahi poocha to she said about the cycle

Kasturi thinking rapidly: Haan haan woh to thik hai…par without asking a doctor how can we be sure….missing the monthly cycle can be a false alarm too…..

Both Robbie and Kasturi are thinking. Then Kasturi: Robbie lets get Anita to a doctor …..pata to chalen actual story kya hai….

Robbie: She wants to do the abortion tomorrow…I have to give her some money to do that

Kasturi: Money??
Robbie: About Rs 50 K or so…you know for a decent hospital
Kasturi: Rs 50K …tumne kahi diye to nahi

Robbie nods his head in denial….: "Maine saath jaane ke liye offer kiya to she denied…saying a girl is needed". He then hesitantly asks "Kash, actually if you are ok …will you come with us??"

Kasturi pressing his palm to assure: Yes Robs of course….though I hope Anita koi aur tamasha na khada karen mujhe dekhke.

Robbie emphatically: That you leave it to me….Kash, woh saare news ke impact mein mujhe yeh sujha hi nahi…without a doctor's view how can we be sure…we have to get one…lets go with her…Kash, ghar pe kya kahen….

Both think. Robbie: Should we say we have a project?...par what project…exams are not far away.

Kasturi: Yahi thik rahega ….exams ke pehle hai kehke manage karenge…. Jhoot kehne ko dukh to ho raha hai par I will tell Maa that we have a project that needs us to be away to Noida or Gurgaon or someplace…And wahi ke kisi doctor ko dhundna hoga Robs, we cant go to a Delhi wala …Agar ye baat sach nikli to Delhi ke jitney kam log jaane utna behtar hai….Robs,…the idea of an abortion is sickening….

Robbie ardently: I know I know….and trust me I don't want her to do it…why should an innocent unborn pay for my mistake….Naaaah ….we will take the plunge of telling home

Kasturi: Robbie kehna aasaan hai, karna mushkil…kya kahoge Mom, Dad ko….you wanting to marry her is one thing…but this pre-marital thing…they will be destroyed

Robbie, once again feeling hopeless: Ye mujhse kya ho gaya Kash….

Kasturi comforting him: Heyyyy….galtiyan hum sab se hoti hai…tumse bhi hui hai…..par zaroori baat yeh hai ke hum ye samjhe that we made a mistake and make efforts to rectify it….and the commendable part about you is that you are accepting it and facing it sincerely…not running away…I will help you in speaking to Mom, Dad….but before that we do that we need to get all the facts right…kya pata it could be a false alarm….

Robbie: Let me call Anita first thing tomorrow and speak to her….Doctor ka pata laga leta hun…Kisi ladies doctor ko dhundna hoga right? Saturday ko subah nikle??
Kasturi: Yup, schedule tight hai par project ki story bana denge..woh tum mujh par chod do….Doctors ki list mein kisi lady gynaecologist ko dhoondo, someone who is attached to a hospital….just in case

Robbie: Hmmnn…let me check. Lets take some money together and kum se kum testing and initial medicines or whatever karte hain….then lets check.
Kasturi: thik hai…Kal jaake dekh leti hun account mein kitne paise hain…Mere hisaab se saat hazaar (Rs 7,000) to hone chahiye…………Chalo ab der hui hai....go take some rest. We have plenty of work to do tomorrow.

As they begin to get up Robbie holds Kasturi's hand and asks sincerely: Kash you are disgusted with me…aren't you?
Kasturi…….gently: Sach baat kahun to yes…. I was disgusted and upset…very disgusted…but was…not am.
Robbie: You think I am horrible right?….do you hate me?
Kasturi…mockingly trying to impersonate him: "Do you hate me"…..sirf horrible!! …us-sey bhi lower
Robbie: Scum
Kasturi: Us-sey bhi
Robbie morose: The scum on a sewer…
Kasturi: Us-sey bhi
Robbie: The scum on an open drain sewer
Kasturi looks at his morose face and breaks into a laugh: "Sniff.. Sniff… the scum on an open drain sewer"….Naaaahhhh….

She pats him on his cheek and hold his arm and they walk towards their homes: This should not have happened Robbie…..Maanti hum ke ladki hone ke naate I am more emotional…Par phir bhi…Something like this is a beautiful moment in our life…One that we cherish….usey aise hi………………………………………But at the same time, you are young and these things can happen in our free spirited and heady youth……After all we all go through some weak moments….Agar ye India ke bahaar hota to shayad aam si baat lagti….People would have said what is the fuss about?…The guy and girl are adults and this is such a natural thing…. …..Lekin hamari society aaj bhi in maamlon mein restrictive hain…. Hamari sabhayata, hamare taur tarike ….Humnein aise hi value system ko apnaya hai…Although, we need to be objective about it…. you should have used protection …

Robbie emotionally: Kash why are you so good

Kasturi: Aren't you good too!!!….I might have been disturbed…but no longer….I am proud of you Robs …that you didn't shirk yourself away…Agar yeh galti hain to you are taking efforts to resolve it…Yehi to farq hain tummein aur aise countless logon mein who would have just walked away ….Ek ladke ke liye yeh karke phir muh pherna bahut aasaan si baat hain…especially in our male dominated society…Par tum ek aisi ladki ka saath de raho ho jisne tumhe hi takleef di hai…Jisne frankly, tumhe use kiya hai aur kar rahi hai….Yeh tumhaari achaai nahi hai to aur kya hai…Aaj tum apni puri zindagi us ladki ko dene jaa rahe ho jisne tumhe kabhi pyaar nahi kiya…bina ye soche ke tumhare parents tumse kitna naraaz honge…sirf isliye ki koi innocent na suffer kare….Yeh tumhari achai nahi to kya hai………..…………..Chalo now lets go home else everyone will be worried for us.

They go home.

Next day morning Robbie speaks to Anita. As expected an argument follows. Anita is angry that Kasturi has been informed. Even more surprisingly; she is very shaky about the doctor' visit. But Robbie firmly gets his way and Anita is forced to agree to go to a doctor on Saturday along with him and Kasturi…..Robbie spends the entire afternoon searching up and arranging a gynaecologist's appointment. As discussed with Kasturi they choose a gynaecologist in Gurgaon….(a satellite town-city of Delhi). He also swiftly and efficiently arranges other details of the visit such as arranging a car to be picked up at the college to take them there.

Now the question is the funds….Robbie has Rs12,500 in the bank and Kasturi has Rs8,300. How to get the balance?….They decide to first go check with the doctor and then take stock of how much cash they need….So at present they just withdraw the balance in their accounts.

Robbie and Kasturi decide to keep Ariv out of this…a decision they reach after great deliberation….While Ariv is a very very close friend…this event is too personal as of now and they decide to keep it between themselves.

Kasturi handles the situation at home and manages to build up a story about a study project…..The Chawla and Sabharwal elders don't suspect a thing…..Kaushalya even decides to pack a tiffin lunch for them.

And so they leave to go to the gynae on Saturday morning….As they leave house and are walking together with their haversacks, Robbie glances over at Kasturi….She is walking determinedly, going over the details of what to tell the gynae…….Robbie just keeps frequently looking at her, taking in all the things Kasturi says. Robbie thanks God for the rock solid support she has been to him …..

They go pick-up Anita at the college, who just grunts at Kasturi…Anita once again creates a scene…but this time Robbie is in no mood to take it lying down and almost categorically orders Anita to get into the car. The drive to Gurgaon is in silence (Kasturi) and taunts (Anita and Robbie). Finally they reach the gynaecologist and its Anita's turn to be examined.

The Gynae is apprised of the situation and she asks Robbie: Tum boyfriend ho?
Robbie nods.
Doctor: Age kya hai?
Robbie: Nineteen going on

The Gynae tells her nurse to check the proof and the college IDs and driving license is checked. Then the Gynae gives both Robbie and Anita an earful about lack of responsibility and proceeds to examine Anita. Robbie and Kasturi are waiting outside the room. Anita is examined and the Doctor calls Robbie and Kasturi in…..and delivers the news that ….Anita is not pregnant……as yet.

For the first two minutes Robbie and Kasturi are too stunned to react…then Kasturi looks at Anita questioningly…Robbie quietly holds Kasturi's hand to suggest that abhi kuch nahi kahenge…. baahaar jaake….The Gynae prescribes a through check-up.

The check-up is time consuming…but it is done without delay….so as to be sure that there is no pregnancy….The Gynae outlines a dosage of pills and once again gives a lecture on responsibility and safe living. Finally, the three leave.

……………………………………………….

Robbie asks the driver to stop at a roadside dhaaba (popular roadside eateries in Northern India)….They get out and Robbie blasts Anita…..In the heated exchange that follows primarily between Robbie and Anita…the truth comes out…..

Anita confronts Robbie that if he thinks she was being unfaithful then what was he doing…coz for him everything starts and ends with Kasturi…To which Kasturi disgustfully chips in and defends Robbie….how dare Anita say that when she does not even know Robbie…..Robbie takes over; the argument continues and then Anita in a moment of aggressive defense and lack of guard, ends up saying that she never thought Robbie was a great boyfriend…But he was popular and had the potential to make it big….so she tried to be with him…..Otherwise Manish is great and Robbie and uski to koi barabari hi nahi hai…

Anita also insults Robbie in return that usey aise hazaar Robbie milenge….And that had it not been for the fact that Manish disowned her after both of them got physical who would have come to Robbie….

The horrid truth dawns on Robbie and Kasturi. That actually Robbie was used because Anita was scared that she could be pregnant due to Manish and Manish might not accept her. Kasturi asks Anita whether this whole pregnancy drama was to ensure that Robbie commits to her…Anita shuts up and is silent and Robbie and Kasturi get the answer….

That's it!!!...its quits.

The car is sent along with Anita and Robbie, Kasturi catch a bus ride home......in absolute silence…each to his/ her own thoughts.

When they reach home and are about to part at the respective gates, Robbie thanks Kasturi.

Kasturi replies: Since when have you started thanking me?...hmmmn…Robs ….is sab ko ek bura sapna samajh kar bhool jaao…kal se ek aur naya din samjho….

Robbie smiles and they give each other a friendly hug….Kasturi leaves …Robbie stands where he is and after a few seconds calls out: Kashhh…..

Kasturi turns around and Robbie says: Kash….who made you believe me?…tum to pehle bahut upset thi naa
Kasturi: Kya…kya pooch rahe ho?

Robbie: You were very upset when I first told you. From then to coming around and forgiving me…who help you think otherwise?...Maa ya Beeji?
Kasturi: Nobody
Robbie: To phir …how did you believe me…

Kasturi matter of factly says: Kya sawaal hai yeh…I guess deep down I always knew …that you can never do anything wrong…and forgivance aur hum donon mein ….kahaan se words dhund laaye ho…tum mein aur mujhmein kya alag hai Robs….apne aap ko kya forgive karun….ok chalo chalo bye…I need to go to the toilet

And Kasturi gives a sheepish silly grin and turns around and walks briskly to her house. Robbie is still rooted to the same spot …near the gate...

Robbie Sabharwal just keeps on looking, at the retreating Kasturi.

Sis One question..have u thought this story long before? why i am asking like is.. 😃 i want to tell u about one telugu movie script which was a super hit...that story also goes in same way..but that was not a flashback offcourse.. 😃 ..so that means u r equally fentastic writer like him.. 😊 ..awesome part again 👏 ..and i got great relief from Anita and Robby too started some feelings for Kasturi right? 😉 😊

what an interesting part dear... tension kay maaray I read it quickly .. and was soooooooooo relieved that anita's truth is finally out.. then I re read it .. and it was fabulous 😳 .. especially the part where kasturi is soooooo angry at robbie I can feel why she is angry and I am correct cuz she had thought that both she and robbie would be with each other ... for her its always been robbie.,,.. its heart wrenching the way she takes out all her childhood toys and remembers and realizes why she is angry... how she goes to robbie and words are not needed between them... wow...amazing dear... and finalllllllllyyyyyyyyyy robbie is beginning to realize that kash is the girl for him ,.... she is his parameter for measuring each and every girl... cant wait for the next part dear... truly amazing.. the story is really gripping my dear.. and hats off to u for such a brilliant piece of FF 😳

Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss, finally robz realized that he loves kas 😃 really liked how u got rid of that anita out of rob's life. i don't blame her for saying that everything ends and start with kasturi for robz. after all he loves her. how can someone tolerate that their boyfriend like someone else. wow, at least kasturi was smart enough to advice that they should confirm this pregnancy before making any decisions. wonder wat rob's life would be without kas, anyone would fool him easily. and he'll be ready to father a child that never existed. i loved the situation created between roka wen rob's tell her about pregnancy. that was fab. 👏 👏 and also the emotions and feelings were brilliantly presented. i totally loved it. but u know last dialogue by kasturi was a little disturbing for that particular situation. well, that's wat i felt. there might be ppl who liked that aspect. once again a brilliant part. update soon.

Very Gripping indeed JW.. kas and rob's confrontation had me sitting on the edge of my seat... 👏👏and what was said was soo moving. and realistic.. and kasturi banging her hand that she hit robbie with,was very touching. Kasturi's depth of her luv for robbie is loud and clear, now if only robbie can hear it.. duffer.😡

Thank god anita is crushed like the bug that she is..i get really upset with women that play the pregnancy card.. disgusting anita...🤢
