Alright everyone,
Have not seen the episode yet today (10/1) but I have read everyone's posts and POVs and feel bad that you all have become sad ! I have to watch the episode before I can say anything.
I was initially going to post this part tomorrow, but decided to post it today itself. Maybe this will perk you all up a bit?? Just a humble hope!!! Of course, nothing can replace the serial.

PART - 27
Robbie is shocked! He is listening into the phone and Kasturi looks at him concerned. He sits up on the bed, with his feet on the floor.
R : Yeh sab kab hua, Dad? Aur Mom kaisi hai.
Puru : Abhi thodi der pehle. Doctors, open heart surgery karne ki baat kar rahe hai. Lekin humne abhi koi decision nahi liyaa. Tu kahaan hai? Mei soch rahaa tha, tu agar aa jaata toh.......
R : I am starting rightaway Dad, Mei out of station hoon, aane mei teen-char ghante lag jaayenge. Lekin, please don't worry, mei aa rahaa hun.
He gets information about the hospital and disconnects the call. Kasturi moves besides him and holds his arm, worried.
K : Kya hua?
R(quietly) : Mom ko heart attack hua hai.
K : Oh NO! Woh, theek toh hai na!!!
R : Haan, lekin hume abhi nikalna hoga.
K : Ji.
R (looking at her) : Kya tum jaldi se pack kar sakti ho kya? Mei itne mei ride arrange karta hun.
K : Ji.
The chartered plane will be in Mussorrie as RK were planning to get back to Delhi early the next day. While Robbie is arranging for a ride from Dhooni to Mussorrie, she packs everything up. And they sit quietly waiting for the car to arrive. Robbie is very tensed and Kasturi realises this. She walks over to him, stands behind him and starts massaging his neck, shoulders and back. Slowly Robbie relaxes and starts to talk.
R : Mujhe samajh mei nahi aa rahaa Mom ko heart attack kaise hua? Woh bahut hi health concsious hai aur apnaa health kaa bahut khayaal rakhti hai!!!
K : Shaayad, unhe koi mental tension tha!
R : Wahi samajhne ki koshish kar rahaa hun, ke unhe kyaa tension tha.
K : Fikr mat keejiye. Sab theek ho jaayega.
Robbie takes Kasturi's hands and pulls her closer. She leans over his shoulders and has her face next to his.
R : I am sorry Kasturi, tumhaara birthday.....
K (stopping him with her hand) : Bas! Aage ek shabd nahi. Yeh din meri zindagi kaa ek bahut khoobsurat din rahaa hai, jisse mei kabhi nahi bhool sakti! Ab iss baare mei aur kuch mat boliye.
The car arrives, they drive over to Mussorrie, take the flight and get to Delhi. From the airport they drive down to the hospital. It is still only 5.00 AM in the morning and they decide it does not make sense for Kasturi to go home this early. Robbie will be thinking what to do, when Kasturi suggests that she will sit in the car and wait for daylight while he goes and checks up on his Mom. Robbie does not like the idea but that is the only solution. So, Kasturi sits in the car in the parking lot and Robbie goes into the hospital.
Puru, Dushyant, Nandini, Raunak, Divya and Alaana will be in the hospital. As soon as they see Robbie, a crying Divya goes and hugs him. Robbie calms her down and starts talking to the rest of them. The doctors will be operating on Devika for the past 2 hours. Finally, they will be done. The doctor comes out and meets them.
Doctor to Puru : The operation was a success. Ab ghabraane ki koi baat nahi. She will be fine very soon. Lekin bahut si issues hai jispe mei aapse baat karnaa chahunga. Sabse zaroori, please make sure unhe koi tnesion nahi hai!
Everyone will be relieved and they will breath a sigh of relief.
Doctor : Woh abhi sedation pe hai aur ICU ko transfer kar di gayi hai. Agar aap unhe dekhna chahte hai toh dekh sakhte hai, room ke baahar se. Robbie and Puru go to ICU and observe Devika through the glass windows. Suddenly R's eyes fill up with tears. Seeing his mother like this will unnerve him!! He had always seen her extremely active, agile and full of life. Puru will notice this and pat on his back. Robbie looks at his dad. He wants to share his pain with him, but he cannot, his dislike for his dad does not allow him too. He abruptly leaves. All of them will plan to go home, get fresh and come back to the hospital but Robbie will not want to leave his mother. He will decide to stay back at the hospital. He takes Raunak to a side and explains.
Robbie : Raunak, ek madad chahiye, yaar! Kasturi baahar car mei baithi hai, kya usse thoda us ke parents ke ghar ke pass tak chod doge? Mei abhi yahaan se jaa nahi paungaa.
Raunak : No problem, I will take care of it.
The rest of them leave for home while Raunak reaches Robbie's car. Kasturi is sitting inside her eyes closed and so does not notice that it is Raunak, that is opening the door.
K : Aa gaye, Kaisi hai.........Oh, Raunak Sir, aap?
Raunak : Hello Kasturi, kaisi ho?
And explains the whole situation. Kasturi is disappointed. She was hoping she could see Robbie again before leaving. But she hides her disappointment. He drives her home and they talk enroute about Devika.
Kasturi reaches home and eveyone welcomes her with birthday wishes. The whole day will pass off well. At the hospital, Robbie will be waiting for his Mom to gain concsiousness. In the afternoon Devika finally opens her eyes and finds Robbie besides her. She gives a slight smile and moves her hand a bit. Robbie grabs her hand and sits on a chair besides her. His eyes are moist.
R : Mom, How are you feeling?
Devika (very softly) : Acchi hun.
R : Dard ho rahaa hai kya?
Devika shakes her head in the affirmative. Robbie lightly squeezes her hand
R : Jaldi kam ho jaayega, bas thodi der sehan keejiye.
Devika again nods her head and soon her eyes will be closing up again as she is very drowsy. Robbie continues to sit beside his mother and observe her. Soon it will be evening. Nandini and Divya will come to stay with Devika and they will force Robbie to go home. For Kasturi, every second of the day, Robbie will be on her mind. Her Sunday will be a stark contrast to her Saturday. Saturday, it was Robbie everywhere, Sunday - no Robbie at all. She will miss him terribly. She will call him a couple of times, but his phone will be switched off, as he is still in the hospital. In the evening Kasturi will be sitting on the terrace lost in her thoughts. She will be desperate to see him or atleast hear his voice! Her phone rings, its Robbie. She immediately answers.
R (in a tired voice) : Hi Kasturi, Abhi abhi ghar pahuncha aur dekha ke tumhaare do missed calls hai. Kaisi ho?
Hearing his voice has pushed her over the brink and she breaks down.
K (her voice breaking) : Achhi hun.
R (concerned) : Kya hua? Theek to ho?
K : Nahi! theek nahi hun! Meine aapko bahut bahut miss kiyaa!!! Aapko poore din mei ek baar bhi mera khyaal nahi aaya?? Ek baar aap mujhe phone nahi kar sakte the? Ab yeh mujhse saha nahi jaata, mei......mei ab aapse ek pal bhi door nahi reh sakti!!!
And she breaks down
R : I am sorry, Kasturi. Actually Mom ka operation hua aur mei bahut tension mei tha. Koi aur khayaal mann mei aaya hi nahi. Aur I am sorry about morning too. Mai tumhe chodne nahi aa sakaa.
Suddenly Kasturi feels very bad at her behaviour.
K : Mujhe.....mujhe maaf keejiye! Pataa nahi mujhe kya ho gayaa!! Aap thake haare ghar aaye aur mai itni insensitive behave kar rahi hun.......
R : Nahi Kasturi, I know exactly what you are going through. Tumhaara jo haal hai, wahi meraa bhi hai. But please bear with me. Jaise hi Mom theek hoke, ghar aajayegi, hum sabko bataa denge aur yeh doori hamesha ke liye khatm ho jaayegi! I promise!
He comforts K and then Kasturi inquires after his mother and they discuss her. Then K says
K : Accha, ab aap so jaiye, Aap bahut thak gaye hai.
R : Are you sure ?
K : Haan, bilkul. Ab aap so jaiye. Kal milte hai.
R : Goodnight, baby! I love you!
And he kisses her over the phone and Kasturi returns the kiss and they disconnect.
The next 2 days they meet for lunch. But on Wednesday, Robbie will have to attend a builders convention and so he will not be able to come.
Thursday morning when Kasturi is sitting and drinking her tea at the breakfast table she suddenly hears her Dadaji (who is sitting on the sofa) throw the paper down and say.
Dadaji : Subah subah isska muh dikh gayaa!
Alka chachi (will pick up the paper and see and then give Kasturi an evil smile and say) : Accha hua, jo hamaara iss se pind chut gayaa. Kisi ladhki ko nahi chodtha hai!!!! Kaise besharam hoke, chipak kar photo lete hai, yeh "modern" log!!
Kasturi will be surprised and she will come and check the paper out to see what the deal is. The paper will have Robbie's photo with a very beautiful and smart looking lady. Robbie has his hand around her waist and has a huge smile on his face. Kasturi will read the information under the picture. It will mention "Robbie Sabharwal and Kripa Mehra at the National Builders Convention". She will be hurt by her dadaji's reaction and also by Alka chachi's comments. She wants to answer back Alka chachi, but with dadaji there, she does not want to say anything. Kasturi puts the paper down and leaves nonchalantly.
Kasturi will want to visit Devika and so Robbie suggests that she go to the hosiptal on Friday morning as he will not be going to visit his mom Friday morning and hence no awkward situations will be created. So Kasturi goes to visit Devika on Friday morning. She takes flowers with her and reaches the hospital. Devika sees her enter and is very surprised.
Kasturi : Hello Maam!
Devika : Hello Kasturi, what a surprise!
Kasturi (smiles) : Ab kaisi hai aap ki tabiyat?
Devika : Sambhal rahi hai. Lekin tumhe mere baare mei kaise pataa chala?
Kasturi is stalled for a second and then manages
Kasturi : Woh, Divya ne bataaya. Mujhe aapko dekhne ka bahut mann kiyaa toh mai chali aayee.
Devika looks at Kasturi and thinks she is so innocent and sweet. How did I never like her? Kasturi keeps the flowers on the table, pulls a chair besides the bed and sits. Devika asks about her family, about her job etc and they talk for 15 minutes. Then Kasturi gets up to leave
Kasturi : Mei bhagwan se prarthana karungi ki aap jaldi theek ho jaaye, Maam.
Devika : Thank you, Kasturi!
Kasturi : Chalti hun, maam.
She gets out of the room and walks a short distance when she sees Puru coming towards her. Purushottam is surprised to see her.
Puru : Arre Kasturi, tum?
Suddenly Kasturi feels the urge to touch his feet and so she bends down and touches his feet.
Puru (surprised) : Jeeti raho, beta! Arre, yeh kya kar rahi ho?
Kasturi : Kuch nahi, bas yun hi dil kiyaa.
Puru : Devika se milne aayi ho?
Kasturi : Haan. Maam ke baare mei sunkar bahut buraa lagaa. Lekin, bahut khush hun, ke ab unki tabiyat acchi hai.
Puru : Haan, aur mujhe bahut khushi hui ke tum yahaan aayi ho! varnaa Chawla saab ne toh ham sab ko paraaya kar diya. Kam se kam tumne hame maaf kar diya!
And smiles. They talk for a while and then Kasturi leaves.
On Saturday, Devika is released and she is taken home and advised complete bed rest. No work, no tensions of any kind is allowed near her. Robbie will spend all his time with his Mom. The heart attack will completely unnerve Devika and she will really depend on her son to see her through this ordeal. Since her relationship with Puru is not good, she will turn to Robbie for comfort. She would get all worried and fret if Robbie stayed away from her for too long. If he got delayed in visiting her even by 5 minutes, it would upset her. Robbie will notice all this and finally one day he will decide to talk to his mom.
Robbie (sitting next to her bed and very gently) : Mom, aap itni ghabraai hui kyon hai? Mai aap hi ke paas hun. Mai aapko kabhi bhi chod ke kahin nahi jaaunga.
Devika : Sorry, pataa nahi mujhe kya ho gayaa hai. (looking at Robbie) kuch...kuch darr sa baith gayaa hai, mann mei. Son, ek baat kehna chahti hun, please ghussa mat hona.
Robbie (holds her hand and says softly) : Boliye..... I promise mujhe ghussa nahi aayega.
Devika : Mei, marne se pehle tumhaare bacche kaa muh dekhna chahti hun.
Robbie (very surprised) : Mom! Yeh kaisi baatein kar rahi hai aap???? Please don't think like this!
Devika : Nahi Robbie, mujhe samajhne ki koshish karo. Mei bas chahti hun ke tum life mei settle ho jao. Har kisiko saath ki zaroorat padhti hai. Akele zindagi guzaari nahi jaa sakti. Jo ho gayaa, woh ho gayaa, Kasturi koh bhool jao............
Robbie gets up forcefully and walks to the window and looks out. He is very restless.
Devika : Son, move on with your life. Shivani ke guzarne ke baad, mujhe yeh ehsaas hua hai ke hum sab kuch dinon ke mehmaan hai. Kabhi bhi yeh khel khatam ho sakta hai. Aur mei, jaane se pehle tumhaare zindagi mei khushi dekhna chahti hun. Please, meri baat mano, ek acchi si ladki dhoondho aur shaadi kar lo.
Robbie is thinking - "Kasturi ko bhool jau, iss se pehle toh mei marnaa pasand karunga. Kya mei Mom ko bataa dun, ke maine Kasturi se shaadi karli hai? What will be her reaction. Nahi, nahi, this is not the time to shock her. I think I need to give her more time to recover. Lekin, what should I answer her now? I do not want to hurt her in anyway.
Robbie is going through hell!! Finally he turns to her and says
Robbie (smiling) : Mom, aap theek keh rahi hai. Mujhe settle ho jaana chahiye. Mai isske baare mei thoda sochna chahta hun. 2-3 weeks mei decide karke bataa doonga.
Devika smiles happily. Robbie walks to her and holds her hand
R : Are you happy now?
Devika nods her head while Robbie is thinking hard, how to break this news to his Mom.
Towards the end of that week on Saturday, Kasturi, Alka chachi and Kaushalya go to do some shopping. While Kaushalya is checking something in the store, Kasturi and Alka Chachi stand outside as the shop is too small. Suddenly Alka chachi starts laughing cynically. Kasturi looks at her surprised. Alka points Kasturi to a scene across the road. Robbie is standing next to his car and a woman and a small girl are standing next to him. Robbie picks up the girl in his arms and gives her a kiss. Then he hands the girl over to that woman, then all sit in his car and drive off. Kasturi will remember that woman to be the one with whom she had seen Robbie's photo in the paper. Kasturi is surprised. While Alka starts off
Alka : Har roz iss ladhke ke naye naye roop dekhno ko milte hai!!! Aaj pitaa ka roop dekh liyaa.
Kasturi : Chachi! Aap kyun hamesha doosron ke baare mei buraa sochti hai?
Alka : Oy hoy hoy! Puraane ashiq ke liye abhi bhi itnaa pyaar!!! Bhai wah, dekh ke mazaa aa gayaa. Uss ladhke ne tujhe kabhi bhi apnaa asli roop nahi dikhaaya. Yeh hai uskaa asli roop. Tere saamne toh naatak kar rahaa tha tujhe phasaane ke liye. Woh toh shukr hai ke tu baal baal bach gayi, nahi toh teraa bhi yahi haal hotaa. Ek bacche ki maa toh zaroor ho jaati. Pataa nahi isske aur kitne bacche hai, kahaan kahaan hai.............
Kasturi closes her ears and walks away from there in anger. They all get home. But Kasturi is restless. First, she is very upset with Alka chachi, then she is upset with herself for still thinking about it. She remembers that the whole of this week, she has not been able to meet Robbie other than for lunch. And he always seemed so pre-occupied. And whenever she called him, he was busy. She is restless the whole night and cannot sleep. She will decide to ask Robbie about that woman.
The next morning, which is Sunday, around 10.30 AM Robbie calls her.
R : Hey babes!
K : Kaise hai aap?
R : Ekdum mast. Accha suno, ek bahut zaroori kaam hai, kya tum mujhe ek ghante mei mil sakti ho?
K : Haan, aa sakti hun.
They decide on a spot where Robbie is going to come and pick her up. Robbie picks her up. Kasturi notices that Robbie is looking very tired and mentally restless. But he is very happy to be with her. Kasturi wants to ask him about the lady and the child. But she controls herself and thinks that maybe she should not ask him. She will be in a huge dilemma as to whether she should ask him or not. They reach an exclusive apartment complex and they get to the 3 rd floor. They walk down the corridor to the front door of an apartment. Robbie unlocks the door. He is very excited!!! But Kasturi does not share the same excitement as her mind is clouded. They enter the house.
R : Tumhe yeh ghar dikhaane layaa hun, Kasturi. Chalo lets check out all the rooms.
They go from room to room. Its a beautiful apartment, with a lot of ventilation. When they get to the master bedroom, Kasturi walks over to the window and stares outside while R is telling her something.
R : Kasturi, KASTURI! Kahaan kho gayee ho?
Kasturi comes out of her thoughts and looks at him. Robbie feels something is amiss and so he asks
R : Kya hua, Kasturi? Tum aaj itni khoi khoi lag rahi ho!
K : Mujhe aap se kuch poochna hai..........woh...woh kal shaam ko Alka chachi aur maine aapko ek aurat aur bacche ke saath dekha.
She is fidgeting as she is very uncomfortable asking this question. And Robbie is listening attentively to her.
K : Aur........aur Alka chachi ne aapko bahut bhala-buraa kahaa.......aur kahaa ki woh bacchi aapki.......aapki beti hai!
Anger is slowly creeping up in R's blood. He cannot believe his ears!!! He is thinking is Kasturi telling me this or asking me the question. He gets very mad and says
R : Haan!!!, Haan, woh meri beti hai. Mai jin jin auraton se milta hun, agar unke koi bacche hai, toh woh sab mere hai!!!!! Ho gayi tassali???
K (irritantly) : Mujhe kyun tassalli hogi? Mai toh sirf Alka chachi ki kahi baat.......
R explodes in anger : TUMHAARI ALKA CHACHI IS A DIMWITT!!! And so is half your family, jo saalon se tumhaari Alka chachi ki yeh nautanki jhelti aa rahi hai! Agar meri aisi chachi hoti, toh mai unhe kab kaa theek kar detaa!!!!!!
Now K is also angry : Aap mere parivaar waalon ko beech mei kyun laa rahe hai??
R : You are SO RIGHT!!! I AM SORRY ke maine tumhaare parivaar waalon ke baare mei kuch kahaa, specially tumhaare bauji ke baare mei.
And he gives her a look. Kasturi knows the meaning of that statement and the look. He is pointing out at her bauji for taking the decision of getting her married to a 60 year old. She is angry but knows she has no answer on this one as her dad indeed behaved very abhorrently. They stare at each other angrily. And then Robbie turns around and faces away from her. His hands are on his waist and he is trying to control his anger.
R : Chalo, mai tumhe ghar chod deta hun!
K : Mai aapke saath NAHI aana chahti hun!!! Mai auto leke chali jaaungi!
R turns back to look at her and says : SUIT YOURSELF!
And then he storms out of the house and Kasturi hears the front door bang. Tears fill up her eyes. Kasturi is thinking
K : Woh aise kaise baat kar sakte hai? Akhir maine kya kahaa?? Sirf pooch hi toh rahi thi. Issme itnaa ghussa hone ki kya zaroorat thi??
She frets for a while but deep within she knows it was her mistake to raise the topic and so starts thinking
K : Actually galti meri hai! Mai aise kaise Alka chachi ki ghatiyaan baaton mei aa gayi? Mai unpe shaq kaise kar sakti hun? Woh mujhse kitnaa pyaar karte hai!!! Unki aankhon mei itni sacchai hai! How could I hurt him like this?
She feels terrible and immediately calls him. Robbie does not answer. She tries again. He still does not answer. Again tears fill up K's eyes and she cries.
Meanwhile after Robbie bangs the door and leaves, he goes and sits in his car with an intention to drive away, but he cannot! He is mad!!!!
R : Kya hua Kasturi koh? Woh mere baare mei aise soch bhi kaise sakti hai? Apni Alka chachi ki neeyat jaante hue bhi, usse kaise unki baaton pe yakeen ho gayaa?
And he is mighty upset. The apartment that he is showing her today, he had actually bought it for them!!!!! The woman that Kasturi was talking about was his school classmate, Kripa who was now a real-estate agent. Robbie had met her in the Builder's convention and had told her about his intention to buy an apartment and seeks her advice and services as an agent. One day when they are going to check a house out, they get delayed and Kripa has to pick her daughter up from school, so Robbie gives her a ride. Kripa introduces Robbie to her daughter and Robbie gives the girl a kiss which Kasturi had seen and misunderstood. The reason Robbie has bought that house for them is, he is worried that when they tell the truth out, Kasturi's family might not be ready to accept their marriage and hence Kasturi will have to leave her house. And if his mom is also not happy then, it will be very difficult for Kasturi to live in the SS mansion. And so he thinks that they can live in their own house, till things are settled......
While he is thinking this, he gets a call from Kasturi, he does not answer and she calls him again and he looks at the phone but still does not answer. And then he suddenly feels terrible. He starts thinking
R : Yehi galti toh maine bhi ki thi! Maine bhi toh Kasturi pe shaq kiyaa tha, galat-fehmi mei aakar! Mujhe iss tarah ghussa nahi hona chahiye. I should explain it to her. Nahi toh hamaari zindagi mei phir se hulchul aa jaayega!!! The thought of loosing her will bring him back to his senses and he will immediately get out of the car and retrace his steps back hurriedly!
Kasturi is sitting in a corner with her knees folded vertically and her head on her knees and her hands folded across her head. Suddenly Kasturi feels conscious of his presence and looks up to see Robbie standing near the door, staring at her. It is obvious to him that she has been crying. Kasturi slowly gets up and stands against the wall feeling very guilty, looking at him. Slowly Robbie walks towards her and stops right in front of her. They look into each other's eyes. The pain in their eyes is clearly visible to each other. The pain that is questioning them - if 20 minutes of separation is unbearable how can they ever stay away from each other??
K : I am sorry......
Suddenly Robbie grabs Kasturi and pulls her towards him very roughly and starts kissing her. Her hands slide to the back of his head and she wraps her hands around his hair. The kiss is forceful, intense and Kasturi responds back with equal fervour. And to a certain extent there is anger on Robbie's side. Anger, that she had doubted him. Robbie bites Kasturi's lip. Kasturi winces with pain but even that pain is giving her pleasure! No words are spoken, but still so much has been conveyed by them to each other through the kiss!!!!
They stop to catch their breath and look into each other's eyes. The desire in their eyes cannot be hidden anymore. Robbie pushes Kasturi to the wall, pinning her hands against the wall and presses himself hard against her. The sensation this causes in them is unstoppable. He starts kissing her lips again. The urgency of wanting each other will overwhelm them!!! Robbie removes his and Kasturi's clothes in a hurry. He kisses her from naval upwards. Kasturi can feel the longing in his kisses.
Soon passion consumes them and they make love - passionate, primitive love!!! They make love against the wall to the music of their hearbeats, beating loudly in unison. They make love on the floor to the music of their laboured breathing. For them the world has stopped still, except for their never-ending hunger for each other!!! They immerse in each other and become one for eternity.
A cool summer breeze is blowing through the open window of the bedroom. The weather outside is stormy. Dark clouds have filled the sky and soon the sky lights up with lightening and thunder and it starts to pour. The fresh scent of rain will fill the air.
