Episode No. 31 Update 10th August 2005

Palomi is applying make up and getting ready to go somewhere when Piya comes in and compliments her on her beauty and asks her where is she going. Palomi tells her that she is looking good and happy today. Piya offers her the make up kit and tells her to keep it. She also gives her two tickets for a movie that evening and tells her to take Amrik with her. Palomi refuses saying that parents wont allow and piya tells her she will manage them. Palomi leaves in a rush as she is late for college. Piya is in a very good mood and arranges the things in her room and goes out. She meets Anand and they exchange idle talk. Anand asks her that she is busy and if she is going out… Piya looks at him and tells him that she will not run away, but will inform you. Piya is about to throw away a shirt when Anand asks her about it. Piya says he has not been wearing that shirt and so she is disposing it off. That she wants to get rid of the unwanted things in their house. He says she is at last disposing off things from their home… Piya tells him that she has do it, since he is not doing it.

Jo kaam tum nahi kar paye, who kaam mein kar rahi hoon. Beautiful dialogue conveying more than just those words and probably a hint of whats to come in future… Beautiful reference to the fact that Anand is not able to do anything about his relationship with Ratna and ultimately it would be upto Piya to take things into her hands and sort out the mess that he, like his clothes, are in.

She asks Anand whats his plans for dinner and Anand says nothing. She offers to call his parents home for dinner. Anand tells her that they will go out instead, but Piya insisits she is fine and that they will have dinner at home. Anand is very happy that Piya is normal.

His parents discuss them and his mom feels that since Piya has her sparkle back in her eyes, things are coming back to normal. They feel all this is a result of his moms discussion with him the previous night.

Karan and Piya in the office, when Piya informs him that she will not be coming in for sometime as she wants a break. Karan tries to probe and get to know Piyas mind, but Piya is unwilling to comment upon anything. She tells Karan that the project and the office will be well taken care of by Vasu. Karan wants to know if everything is alright and Piya assures him everything is fine.. that she gets tired easily and wants a clean break to recover completely and she will come back soon. Karan gives Piya advice that in life it is better to move on rather than look back with sorrow..

Mohan chides Anand for reacting badly towards Sara… that Sara is Piyas sister and she is bound to react. Anand feels that Sara should not talk bad to Ratna… but Mohan rebukes him and tells him that now only Sara knows and Piya is quiet as she is too good… he asks Anand what will happen when Piyas parents come to know the whole truth. Anand just stands there looking, not knowing what to do….

Ratna and Wasim are discussing her life and Wasim tells her that Anand will never support her, neither will he divorce his wife to amrry her. Ratna tells Wasim that marriage alone is not her destiny. She loves Anand and that is good enough for her. Wasim tells her Anand may never be around all the time. Ratna reminds him that he was there at some time and now he is not there. He tries to dissuade Ratna from going further in their relationship, but ratna tells him that she is committed and she loves Anand and so does he. She loves anand and wants to enjoy it…

Piya, Anand and his parents sit down for dinner and piya is in a great mood and everyone comment about it. Everyone is very happy and his mom asks him about the recipe.. Piya replies that she will leave it behind and go… his mom says to leave it near the fridge and she will make it identical in the evening. Piya says she is leaving..

She drops the bombshell…. That she is going away to Chandigarh for good.. that she is leaving the house, the city and everything for ogod and going away to Chandigarh…. Everyone is shocked…. She says she had warned Anand, but he did not take it seriously…. That even now he believes that she is joking.. but that's not true.. she is leaving and leaving for good. Mom asks her why… and Piya replies that Aannd has Ratna in his life and he is not willing to leave her.. that she had given him time to get over it.. but he is unwilling to let gfo that relationship…. Why, she does not know…. But she is not willing to share Anand with anyone else.. whoever it is…

Piya says she loves Anand a lot… very tearfully… aur shayad kissise na kar paaon. She says she has not told anyone else… becos she expected that Anand might return… but that was not to be and today she realized that it was only her dream and she decided to back off… that's why she did not involve Palomi in the whole thing and so she sent her away as she is still a akid.. Anands mom entreats her not to go.,.. but Piya says Kuch faisle uske haath mein hote hain,, humare haath mein nahi… And she vows that Anands mom will never feel the lack of their relationship and her relationship with them will remain the same… that she will always remain their daughter…. And with that, she takes leave and leaves……. Anands mom is crying and unable to talk when Piya takes her ashirwaad… Anand is shocked and unable to react… Piya takes ashirwaad of her fil… and turns away and as she nears Anand, she stops and Anand gets up….. They are ubable to look at each other in the eye and Piya looks up to see Anand look away… Piya glances down with tears in her eye…

Episode 32 - Update 11th August 2005

Starts off with Sara telling her parents about Piyas problem and blaming Ratna for everything. Piya tells that Ratna is not alone responsible for the whole thing. Anand is as much responsible for this as Ratna and if Anand does not care for Piya, why will Ratna bother… Piyas mom is upset and asks why Piya kept quiet for so long without telling anyone, if they had known they would have done something about it. Sara tells that they should call Anand and ask him about this. Piyas father chides Sara for not behaving properly and maturely… Sara threthens to call Ratna and set her right.

Wasim is asked to leave the house by Ratna as it is late… while leaving Wasim gives Ratna a diamond ring. She asks Wasim why should she keep it and Wasim tells her that she should keep it and even after two or more years, if Ratna ever changes her mind, she should wear it and he will wait for her forever. Ratna tells her that it is not possible for them to ever get back together…

Anand calls and Sara picks up the phone. Anand says, Sara.. and she says Wrong number and hangs up the phone. Sara wants Ratnas phone number, but Piyas father refuses and asks Sara to be quiet. Piya tells her that there is no point in talking to Ratna as nothings gonna be achieved. Sara blurts out that she caught them red handed a couple of days ago in Mumbai and she has already warned them. Piya gets pensive when she hears this.

Anand is in deep thought and Piyas words keeps ringing in his ears… His mom comes and she says not to think so much… Anand asks her what to do and his mom replies that he used to ask her this question when he was young… but ever since he grew up, he has been doing things on his own, be it his marriage to Piya or his relationship with Ratna… or throwing Piya out of the house. Anand says he did not ask Piya to leave.. she left on her own. His mom replies that he did not leave any chance or way out for Piya.. he had made circumstances such that he left her no other option but to leave… His mom says that they can only sympathizes with him and they were not immune to Piya' s unhappiness. She says she can see the love for Piya in his eyes, but his life is his own and he needs to decide the course of the destiny…

Sara calls Mohan and he takes a while to pick up the phone.. Sara cross examines him about the delay of picking up the phone. Mohan inquires about Chandigarh and the Sara tells Mohan that the affair has been going on for almost two years etc… Mohan replies in monoslyables… and Sara is suspicious.. she asks Mohan if anyone is with him.. Mohan tells that he is with a client. Sara asks if sh should also be suspicious and that you cant trust any man now a days… Mohan assures her that he loves only her and no one. Sara is feeling sorry for Piya and sees Piya in the back ground and sh hangs up. Mohan hangs up and Anand is shown sitting in front of him.

Sara and Piyas mom are talking and blaming Anand. Sara says Anand is the only one who did not call (wonder why Sara is lying now)… Piya overhears this and tells everyone firmly that she told them her problem only because they are her immediate family and she felt they should know about it.. but she does not want to be pitied or her family discuss her divorce etc.. she will take some time, but will eventually take the decision and while taking the decision, she will consult everyone.

Mohan and Anand are talking and Mohan tells Anand that nothing is right.. everyone in the family knows about this and there is an uproar there. He says he is going that night to Chandigarh for their parents wedding anniversary and invites Anand also. But anand leaves.
Samaya comes and announces that Mathew and she are getting married and Ratna is very happy for her. Wasim offers to throw a party for her the next day and they plan the party.

Anand and Bhaskar are talking and Anand tells Bhaskar that he loves Piya and cannot live without her, but he cannot live without Ratna… Bhaskar tells him that Piya is his wife and she has played a pivotal role in his life… whereas Ratna is only another woman, that she is a lonely woman… for her any man would do for companionship… be it Anand or be it Wasim or any other man… it does not matter. Anand in a fit of rage slaps Bhaskar. Bhaskar says that he had once gone to Ratnas place and found her in the arms of Wasim.. Bhaskar tells Anand that Ratna is a well read lady and can take care of herself… there is no surety that she has not already found solace in the arms of Wasim.

Vasu and Karan come to invite Anand and piya for their engagement party and Anand tells them that Piya has gone to Chandigarh. Karan inquires about her sudden trip and Anand makes vague excuses. Karan tells Anand that the engagement is after a fortnight and inquires if Piya will be back. Anand says she should be.. Karan says he will be waiting for them at the engagement party. Anand is puzzled and does not know what to reply.

Episode No. 33 Update 15th August 2005

Starts off in Piya's Chandigarh and Sara picking a yellow saree for Piya. She says if Anand sees her in a yellow saree, he will like it. And Piya gets immersed in her thoughts.. she remembers Anand hesitatingly asking Piya to wear the Cream saree as she looks nice in it. And another scene in the party when Anand complimented her on her wearing a cream colour saree… Piya looks at Sara and then picks out a cream colour saree. Sara chides her for picking up a cream colour saree, but the Sara insisted on Piya wearing another colour. Piya insists on wearing the cream Saree. Sara gives advice on how she should tackle people at the party and their father arrives there. He says for all that they were discussing, Anand may actually come.
Honks of a car and Sara rushes out to see that Mohan has come.. Everyone goes out and welcome him. Sara starts picking on him for arriving late. Then some lovey dovey nok jhok between them…. And Mohan wishes them. Piya's mom inquires if Anand spoke with Mohan and everyone lapses into silence. Mohan stumbles and mumbles that he was to meet Anand etc.. but Piya cuts him short and goes away.
Karan calls Palomi and asks her for Piya's chandigarh number, as he had some urgent work with Piya. Palomi gives him the number. Karan looks at the number and Vasu comes in and asks him to leave for home. Both leave.
Piya's parents are standing near the window overlooking the garden and her father wants to cancel the party in view of Piya's mental condition. Her mother says that if there is a party, she will mingle with others and forget her worries for a while. But her father replies "Us raunak mein bhi woh akeli hogi…" They decide to cancel the party as Piya is more important than other things and she will not enjoy herself in all the crowd..
Piya is upset and is walking in her room. She sees a picture of Anand on the nightstand and looks at it longingly. Then she picks up a momento ling there and picks it up and holds it to her. Flashback moment of the incident when Anand comes to meet Piya's parents for her marriage.… Anand is walking and calls Piya… he is nervous to come and meet her parents. Piya warns him that their home has an air force atmosphere and he should not behave like a civilian and if he does not come soon, her parents will get her married off to an air force pilot. Anand psyches himself that he will be able to do it and starts towards her house. Piya's parents and Sara discuss that Anand is a nice guy and loves Piya and will be very soon successful and it does not really matter that an air force daughter shold marry only an air force officer. Piya's mom is upset that he has come late for the most important meeting of his life. But Piya covers up for him.. Piya's mom reminds her about some Akash and what a good match he will make for her.
Bell rings and Piya goes to open it… Anand in mud spattered clothes is standing there and everyone is shocked to see him in such a disheveled condition at their door step. Anand in a complete state of dishevelment in mud spattered clothes, completely out of breath arrives at their house and everyone is amused at him. Piya takes him in and gets him cleaned up. He gives her a tale about his car tyre puncture etc… Piya and Anand have a tender moment when she readies him to take him down to speak to her parents about the marriage. Beautiful scene of Anand making a complete fool of himself as a nervous bumbling fool in front of Piya's parents… Eventually after making himself the laughing stock during lunch, Anand leaves, completely ashamed and peevish.. without having spoken about the marriage part at all… he talks about everything else except that with Piya shooting daggers at him. Piya's Dad reminds him that he had come to tell them something else and Anand stumbles again… but the words don't come out at all and he keeps stammering… and Piya giving up on Anand asks her father if she can marry Anand. Her parents are taken aback at her attitude but give her permission to marry. Everyone is relieved and happy.
Back to the present, Piya's parents are wondering where Akash is… Piya's mother complains that he is late and her father says Akaash will never be late.. he is a fighter pilot… We are shown legs, then shoes,, then a hand juggling a pair of keys and then the back and the uniform clad figure.. who goes to his jeep, pulls down the front and gets in and drives… A name badge is shown with the name Akash Khanna.
The guy is shown driving through the roads and arrives at Piya's residence.
The door bell rings and Piya's parents ask her to go get the door. Piya opens the door to find a man holding a bouquet of flowers at the door. And then the guy moves the bouquet of flowers to reveal his face……. He is MUKUL DEV……………….. yipeeeeeeee.. I love the guy… the serial just got a lot more interesting….

Episode No. 34 Update 16th August 2005

Update 16th August 2005

Same scene as last night with the introduction of Akash Khanna… Piya smiles on seeing him and is happy to see him… Akash gives her the bouquet of flowers and tells her that he had come to meet her parents but since he was meeting her after so long, got the flowers also. He asks Piya how she has been and its been a long while. Piya replies that its been a long while indeed.. almost 6 years and then corrects herself to say 6 years and 4 months. Akash says that it is easy for her to say but its been a long while. Piya asks him how he has been and Akash with a naughty smile in his eyes says… how do I look and Piya replies fine.. Akash says.. if I look fine, then I am fine.. and reciprocates the question to Piya. Piya asks him how she looks and he says not too fine. Piya assures him that she is fine.. then he goes and meets her parents etc.
Piyas dad comes and meets her and tells her party is cancelled. Piya tells him not to have cancelled, but her dad is adamant.
Akash comes into the room and there is a gentle banter of words.. with both of them lapsing into the past and thinking of all the old things they have said to each other. Akash asks her how her husband is and whats he doing… etc… Piya tells him she is fine and gives her trademark dialogue" baki sab thik hai"….. Anand teases her about it and tells her in all this time, she has not changed her dialogues. Piya tells him that not all are not so lucky to have a wide vocabulary like his. Piya is happy and cheerful as they banter… Akash tells her that its been 6years 4 months and (sathayees) din.. (I don't know how much it is in English)….. since they last met. Akash again asks about her husband. Piya teases him that in all that time, despite his wide vocabulary, he has only asked her about her husband and tells him that Anand is her husband… Akash looks on.
Piyas dad comes in and tells Akash to stay overnight, but Akash refuses saying Riya is alone. Piya goes to leave Akash at the door, when she spots Anand coming into the gate. Akash takes a step behind without realizing that Anand is right behind him.. the gift in Anands hand falls down and Akash apologies for the same. Anand and Akash introduce themselves and Akash introduces Piya as well. Piya with a quiet expression on her face and no reaction as well, quietly informs Akash that Anand is her husband. Akash is shocked to hear that from Piya. The scene is far too beautiful to be captured in mere words like this. If I can, I will write about it later…
Aannd goes into their home and Piya goes away. Piyas dad tells Sara and her mom that he will handle Anand. Sara makes a scene and tells her dad not to be the bhola bhala.. man that he pretends to be and instead give it back to Anand for all the pain he caused Piya. Her mom joins her in the same.. but dad is adamant and goes down… Piyas mom joins him. When Anand tries to touch her feet, she moves away… There is some idle conversation and Piyas dad asks why Anand did not come with Mohan and Anand in a ashamed expression, tells him he was not able to… Piyas dad gets a call and goes away to take the call. Anand tells Piyas Mom that he wants to speak to Piya alone for a couple of Minutes. Piyas mom tells him he can, if he can answer a question… Anand looks at her questioningly. Her mom asks if he has taken any decision of Ratna… Anand looks on…
Anand with Mohan… Mohan tells him that by he being quiet, he has increased the problem and asks him if he has taken a decision about Ratna. And then quietly asks him if he wants to leave Ratna at all.
Ratna is standing by the garden…
Piyas family discuss whether she should meet Anand at all in the circumstances. Piya gets upset.. She says that she can make her own decisions and she is shocked that her family except for her dad to make decisions for her. She defends Anand in front of them and says that her life is her own and she does not like her familys interference in her life and she will alone take the decision of her life and not anyone else.
Piyas mom is upset and says that this very trusting attitude will make Anand cheat on her more. Piyas dad says that they have brought up their children wisely and besides showing them the direction, they should not interfere in their lives.
Mohan and Sara argue again about Mohan's attitude towards her family. When Mohan tells her that if she does not like him being there… he will go away to Bombay alone. Sara gets suspicious about his wanting to go back to Bombay etc… and Mohan then tells her that he will be at her beck and call and will not go back with her… some tender moments and some nok jhok…
Piya and Anand meet. Anand inquires about her. Piya inquires about the family, his parents, polly etc… Anand says nothing is ok without her and pleads with her to go back with him. He asks for her forgiveness… Piya tells him not to apologise… that she had given him time and he could not live without Ratna… so she had to go away to give him his space. Anand pleads repeatedly to come back and she refuses and tells him that he is himself confuised as to without whom he cant live.. is it that he cant live without Ratna or her. Anand tries repeatedly, but Piya firmly informs him that she is not going back… Anand is shattered… and so is Piya… Downcast eyes brimming with tears.…. tells her tale.

Episode No. 35 - 18th August 2005

Party at Ratnas home with nice music.. and Ratna feeling lonely… Samaya is ahppy with Mathew and Ratna wishing that Anand is with her. Wasim sees the forlorn Ratna and is upset. Samaya tells Mathew that she has begun their wedding preparations and got her wedding gown designed and asks him to get his wedding suit from the same designer. Mathew puts her off saying that there is still some time for the wedding
Wasim calls Ratna for a dance and when Ratna refuses, insists on dancing.. Despite protests, Ratna allows herself to be pulled into the dance… and there comes Anand. He sees the scene of the party and Ratna dancing in Wasims arm and turns absolutely red with anger. He recollects the scene where Bhaskar had warned him that Ratna is a lonely lady and she needs male companionship, be it Anand or be it Wasim… Different thoughts clash in his mind… he recollects every dialogue told tol him about Ratna.. and goes and pulls Ratna away.. Ratna was shocked and Anand just loses his temper and yells at Ratna that she is capable of that only.. she is just like how Bhaskar had warned him.. that she needs male companionship and when she found it in Wasim, she forgot Anand. Then Wasim comes ahead and asks Ratna if this was Anand with a lot of contempt… and then ensues a fist fight between the two.. with a lot of words being exchanged.
Anand, in a sober mood, with Samaya present, apologies to Ratna for his behaviour. Ratna tells him she is shocked at his behaviour. That she never expected him to create a scene like that. Anand apologies profusely, but Ratna does not budge. Samaya demands of Anand that if he cannot tolerate seeing Ratna with a man, how does he expect Ratna to tolerate Anand going back every day to Piya… Anand loses his cool and yells at Samaya… Samaya retorts back to demand that if Anand claims so much possessive behavior over Ratna, does he give her the same right. Anand is left with no answer. Samaya continues her tirade and demands that if Anand cannot give Ratna her status, he has no right to demand her unwavering attention.. she demands Anand to marry Ratna… Samaya asks Anand if he was willing to divorce his wife and marry Ratna.. Anand is in a quandary… (I must confess, I did not like Ratna s silence during this interaction… she did notreact even once.)

Anands mom calls Piya and inquires about Anand and Piya says Anand left the previous day itself. Anands mom informs Piya that he was not available on Mobile since the preivous day and he has not returned home either. She hopes that both Piya and Annd would return home one day and tells Piya to let her know if Anand contacts her. Piya hangs up and recollects the scene when Anand informs him Mom that Ratna is an imp part of his life.
Amrik and Palomi in college when she informs her friends that Yash had called and informed her that the photo shoot was successful and her friends tease her that she will become a big model soon. Amrik walks away in anger.. Palomis friends tease her that Amrik is jealous of her success and Palomi rebuffs their thoughts and say that Amrik is her best friend and will always be her support.
Karan calls and inquires about Piya and calls her for the engagement. After the call Karan feels probably all is not right. Piya is deep in thought. When her eyes fall on a newspaper report on Anands fight at Ratnas house and is shocked.
Anands mom is doing some house work when dolly comes there and some stupid scene follows. Usual dolly like scene with Piya as the subject of conversation.
Piya is in her room when her dad comes and asks her whats wrong. Piya tells him that Anands phone is off. Piyas dad inquires about her… and a tender scene follows… Very very beautiful dialogues between dad and daughter… He tells her that it takes a while to build a relationship and not to give up very easily.. that she needs to give it another chance. With this, he leaves Piya in deep thought.
Anand and Ratna in her house, when the doorbell rings. Ratna says it would be Wasim and requests Anand to behave himself as Wasim is their guest. Wasim is upset when he sees Anand. However Anand is apologetic and apologises to Wasim. Casual conversations between Anand and Wasim. Wasim inquires about Anands plan to return to Bombay… and Anand tells him that both of them are going back to Bombay.. and then drops the bombshell that they are both moving back to Bombay for good. Ratna is shocked.
Anands mom gets some diya's and lights them in all parts of the houses. … and I missed the ending of the show…

Episode No. 36 - 22nd August 2005 (Update by sree_20)

Anand's mom is lighting a diya in her house with tears in her eyes , as she misses Pia. When she is placing the lit diya on the floor, Pia comes there, helps her. Anand's mom is surprised, thinks it to be her dream first. Pia then assures her that she has come back. Pia says she could not live without her, without this house and missed all. So she has come back. Anand's mom is very happy, has tears in her eyes, says everything will ne ok now. Pia says i have come here to set things right. Give me some time, i will do something. Anand's mom wants to call Anand, but Pia says let him come. Pia says i will try my best to set things, but everything ultimately depends on Anand. Anand's mom agrees. She asks Pia whether she hid everything from her parents. Pia says she could not hide it. Anand's mom says they must be very upset. Pia says you are also upset about it, so do not worry.

Anand and Ratna are having a heated argument, where Anand says when you decided to come to Delhi, i did not say no. So now, when i have decided to take you back for good to Mumbai, why are you hesitating? Anand assures Ratna that they will be together. Finally Ratna succumbs, but she is in her own thoughts.

Pia is talking to Anand' mom. She is desperately waiting for Anand. Anand's mom says Anand has switched off the phone. They both talk for a while.

Anand and Ratna arrive in flight to Mumbai, reach Ratna's home. Anand has taken a shower, looks tired. Ratna keeps gazing at her house, in sorrow. Anand goes near her, asks her why is she looking like that? It is her own house, she was here just one week back. Ratna says i am thinking of the time when i decided to go out of your life. It was so difficult for me to leave you. She cries. Anand kisses her on her forehead, says we will be together, not to worry. They both hug. Ratna feels better.

Sara and Mohan are talking. Sara scolds her father for sending Pia back. She says Pia has lost senses, after so much happening, she has come back to Anand. We can never believe Anand. He will never leave Ratna. Mohan says he will leave Ratna, he has tried many times in the past to leave Ratna. Sara is shocked. She questions Mohan, when did you know? Mohan hesitates to answer, then says few months back. SAra is more shocked. She asks if you knew about Anand's affair, did u keep quiet? You did not tell us, why? Sara then says maybe you both share some secret between you. Just as you know Anand's affair, he might know something about you. Isn't it? Mohan is angry, gets up, shouts at SAra that he is not going anywhere. He was talking and trying to convince Anand bcos he thought he will leave Ratna. Not bcos of any other affair of his. He gets really upset. Sara then tries to pacify him, says we will go out to eat sizzlers. We will take Pia too along. Mohan ultimately agrees and they both patch up.

Pia is waiting for Anand when SAra and Mohan come there. Pia is sad. SAra asks her to get ready as they are dining out. Pia refuses, but Sara does not budge. She forces her. Mohan tells Pia that they will be back in an hour, will keep trying to get Anand over the phone. Pia agrees.

Anand is lying in thr bed. He is deep in thoughts. Ratna is reading a paper. She notices Anand lost in thoughts. She goes near him, tells him that they will dine out, will go and have sizzlers. Anand says i am in no mood for that. Ratna says i want to change your mood. Anand then agrees.

Anand and Ratna are in the restaurant. Anand is still looking dull. Ratna tells him that he is worried about Pia refusing to come. Anand says nothing like that. Ratna says i know what is gonig on in your mind. I agree to whatever you decide, if you want to live your life with Pia ,i do not mind, she says. Anad quickly says no, i have decided that i cannot live without you. Ratna is happy. Thry both hold hands, have a nice moment together.

Pia, Mohan, SAra come to the same restaurant. Pia first sees Anand and Ratna, hand in hand. Then SAra and Mohan also see. Ratna notices Pia. She tells Anand that Pia is here. But Ratna keeps holding Anand's hand. Anand when he sees Pia, just draws back his hand from Ratna's. Ratna is shocked. Anand runs to Pia, tries to talk to her. Pia goes out of the restaurant. Sara and Mohan stand there. Ratna is sad. Sara goes to Ratna, tells her that she must have got used to this, so she need not feel sad. Whenever Anand sees Pia, he moves away from her. This is bcos Anand is the husband, Pia is his wife. If you think, you will understand what a Pati, Patni and Woh are. Ratna is sad. Mohan tries to stop SAra. But Sara continues to tell that she wants to talk to her sister. After all, she has the right to talk to her sister. She goes on talking ill about Ratna. Ratna is in tears. Mohan drags SAra out, says sorry Ratnaji and pulls Sara. Sara scolds Mohan for saying sorry Ratnaji. She says come home, i will take care fo you. Anand comes there, Mohan says to Anand to take care of Ratna as she is alone. They will look after Pia.Mohan drags Sara out who keeps blabbering something. Anand goes to Ratna. Ratna is in tears, she says she wants to go home. Anand tries to hold her hand, but she takes away her hand. Anand says Ratna, please try to understand. Ratna says "i always hear this Ratna please try to understand" from you. I always understand your problems. But not now. She just gets up, goes out of the restaurant trying to hide her tears. Anand follows her.

Episode No. 37 - 23rd August 2005 (Update by sree_20)

Pia is back at Anand's house where she tells Anand's mom about Anand and Ratna. She starts to cry and tells Anand's mom that she cannot live here. Anand cannot leave Ratna, that is a fact. Anand's mom cries. She holds Pia and breaks into tears.

Ratna is thinking of Anand's reaction when he saw Pia and what Ratna told Anand. She is really confused about her future.

Sara calls her mom in Chandigarh and informs her that Pia and they saw Anand with Ratna. Pia's mom is furious and scolds her hubby for letting Pia go back. Pia's father says he is not going to take immediate steps. He is not asking for a divorce from Anand. Pia's mom disagrees. Pia's father says we have to handle this situation carefully. After all, we have to think what is the best for our daughter. I know she still loves Anand. I will go tomorrow to Mumbai to talk to Anand, he says. Pia's mom says you have talked enough when he was here. Pia's father says yes, i will talk to him again and again, it does not matter. Bcos it is our daughter's life.

Mohan scolds Sara for calling her mom. He says you call your mother for everything, if bhayi does not turn up, if bhayi is unwell, if anybody gives birth etc etc. SAra says after all, they had to know about Pia. Mohan says why trouble them, they must also be disturbed now. They were relieved that we are there as Pia's guardians. Sara stops him, says Pia is independent. Mohan says yes, Pia and you both are independent. Ok meri maa, he fold his hands. He says if Pia is independent, why did u call your mom? Sara gets annoyed.

Ratna gets a call from Sameera. Sameera asks her how was the party? Ratna does not sound good, says she will call tomorrow. Sameera asks what's the matter, any fight with Anand? Ratna gets frustrated, says she will call later and cuts.

Pia has packed her bags ,is ready to leave. Theresa asks her to stop for that night. But Anand's mom says let her go. She need not be here for a second. Anand's mom says i see her as my daughter. If Palomi had this problem, will we want our daughter to stay there? Will we not want her to come back to us, start a newlife? She says i also want Pia to start afresh. Pia says i have two choices, stay here, put up with everything, be sad always. Another is go out, live a new life and move ahead. Anand's mom says your parents will also want you to start afresh. So yuo go. Pia with tears in her eyes, goes. Anand's mom breaksdown after she leaves.

Pia reaches SAra's home, Sara has tears in her eyes, seeing Pia back with baggage. Pia goes in, sits. Sara follows her, sits, holds her hands. Pia says i have left that house for life. I will not go back. Sara cries. Pia says can i live here for some time? Sara says you can live with me forever. SAying this, Sara breaks into tears, feeling sad for her dear sister. She hugs Pia and cries.

Next morning, there is someone at the door. Sara goes to open the door. It is Anand. Sara and Anand stare at each other. Anand says can i meet Pia? Sara says Pia is sleeping. Anand says see here, Sara. He starts to talk when Sara says i have seen everything, but never told anything to Pia. If you are asking for my permission to meet Pia,i will never give it. But i will ask Pia if she wants to meet you. Stay here, she says and goes in.Anand looks baffled.

Episode 38 - Update 24th August 2005 - By Sree

Sara keeps staring at Anand and comes in and tells Pia that Anand is here. Pia scolds Sara for being rude to Anand. She says Anand and me have a problem, so why have you to behave odd with him? You did not even have the courtesy to call him in. You made him stand there.Pia then tells Sara that she need not call him in, she would go and talk to anand.

Pia calls Anand in, they both sit. Pia asks will you have something? She is very casula in her approach. Anand says he did not sleep the entire night. So came here. Anand then asks Pia to come back. Pia bluntly refuses, says i will never come back. Pia says it is a known fact by now that we cannot stay under one roof as husband and wife. So we need not talk about that. She requests Anand that this should be the last time he called her back. She says she will stay here for sometime, then decide what she has to do in future. She then tells Anand that she will send Mohan to talk to him. She goes in leaving Anand very sad.

There, Sara and Mohan are having their usual fight when Mohan looks happy that Anand has come to meet Pia. Mohan tells Sara that she should stop interfering in Pia's life. Sara goes on and on about what Anand was doing when Pia left house late in the night? He is now here early in the morning. Mohan tells her again and again not to poke her nose in their affair. He warns her that Pia might not like staying with her if she has the same attitude. Mohan goes to see Anand. Sara is upset.

Mohan is getting ready for office when Sara asks him where Pia is gone. Mohan tells her that she has gone out. Sara says she did not even tell me. Mohan says she was busy sining and bathing. Mohan says Pia has gone to meet her saans. Sara is again upset. She screams , why does this girl not know what is right for her? Sara says she has gone there when they have driven her out. Mohan says they did not send her out, Pia has her self respect intact, if they had done that, she would have not gone there. She is just hurt with Anand, not angry with all. Sara again gets upset.

Pia goes and hugs Anand's mom. She is very happy to see Pia. Pia looks very cheerful, says you have given me a habit of having breakfast. So how could i miss your parathas? So i came here. Anand's mom asks her to sit, says she will make it for them. She asks Pia whether she will not go to office. Pia says do you think i can work in the mental state i am in? Infact, this house has also become a office for me now.

Pia is sitting when Dolly comes there. Before Dolly could say anything, Pia starts in Dolly's tone, i know you will ask something like this. I heard you ran out of the house. I will then answer i wen to my maikha , as you also go with bags. You are gaayab ofr months. So can't i also go? Dolly then asks you just came back from your parents' house na. Pia says yes, now i felt like going to my sister's place. Is there any kanoon that will put me in jail if i go to my parents' , then to my sister's? Today i felt like having mummyji's paratha. So i came here. She tells Dolly to call her saans too .Dolly now starts to escape when Anand' mom comes with parathas for Pia. Dolly wants a piece from that, but Anand's mom refuses.

Samaya has called Ratna. Ratna tells her about what happened in the restaurant. Then Samaya passes on the news that Mathew has agreed to give his wife a divorce. So they will be marrying in a short time. Ratna is happy. Samaya says he was always ready to marry me, but i did not want to be framed illegal. Ratna seems to be happy for Samaya. She then enquires about Wasim. Samaya says he misses you, pours water to your flowers. He plays with Indu too. Just then , Anand comes, so Ratna says bye to Samaya.

Akash is performing the death ceremony of probably his wife. Many members are seated wearing whites. There is a young man and lady(seem to be Bhaiya and bhabhi), a small boy(probably their son), a girl(think it is Riya, Akahs's daughter) and an old man(probably Akahs's father). They show the havan being done. But they do not show the photo which has been garlanded.

Ratna tells Anand that Mathew is divorcing his wife, marrying Samaya. Anand asks her, for which news are you happy? Ratna says i am happy that Samaya is marrying Mathew. Anand says oh, i thought you are happy bcos Mathew is divorcing his wife. Ratna says both are inter related. Ratna says i am saying that Samaya had the guts to ask for a divorce. Anand says what are you trying to imply? Do you want to say our relationship is like theirs? Ratna gets wild. She starts to scream that she never thought there was a similarity. After all, we love each other. She says you are not in a good mood today. So we will not speak. Ratna says i am also not in a mood. He asks why? Ratna gets wild , says you ran after Pia. Then i came back home alone. I did not sleep the whole night. Anand says i too did not sleep. Ratna tells him that he did not even call to find out whether she reached home. Anand says you did not call, so i assumed all was ok. Ratna says i was worried about you. I wanted to call, but did not know whether you are with Pia. Ratna then says i think we need not talk now. She says we both need some space now. So she asks him to leave and goes in. Anand seems lost and helpless.

Episode No. 39. Update 25th August 2005

Piya and Sara agrue about Anand.. Piya defends Anands parents and tells Sara not to interfere in their life. Sara is upset, but asks Piya about her future, Piya says she is yet tot hink of the future.. that she had not planned for it, but will now think about it.
Samaya is on the phone crying and telling Ratna that she is shocked becos Mathew was not answering her call… getting worried, she went to his office to find out that Mathew had gone for a cruise with his family for 8 days and this plan was planned long ago. Samaya is given a letter by his secretary, which says that their relation is all over. Samaya is distraught. Ratna consoles her.
Anands mom arrives at Saras home, with Dalia for Piya. Piya has gone out and Mohan offers to get tea for her. They chat about relations and how much Piya was a part of their family, of the different things which they had shared over a period of time. Anands mom says she sometimes feels that it is a bad dream at times and things might just get back to normal.
Anand and Ratna discuss Samaya and Mathew and Anand tells Ratna that Mathew should not have done it. Ratna is upset, she wants Samaya to come and live with them in Mumbai.
Sara is upset that Anands mom has come to meet Piya often. She says this will become a routine affair, with mom in law and daughter in law wanting to meet each other often.
Piyas dad comes to Ratnas home. Ratna is surprised to see him. He comes in and finds Anand there. He apologises profusely to Anand and tells him that he never wanted to meet him there, he had come to meet Ratna and wanted to speak to her. Ratna leaves them alone. They talk and Anand again apologises to Piyas dad. Piyas dad tells him to meet Piya once more.
Sara and Anands mom talk when Sara gives her a lot of tanas.
Piyas dad comes and talks to her and tells her to go once more and talk to anand. Piya is upset and asks her father why he went there. Piyas dad clarifies that he went there to meet Ratna and met Anand there by mistake. Piya is upset.
Sara and Mohan talk and Mohan tells Sara to behave.
Piya and Anand meet in a restaurant and Anand puts his cell phone off. Piya asks him about it. And Anand tells her that he did not want to be disturbed. Piya tells him that she did not know what to talk to him, etc… Anand says that he feels sad that he had to meet her dad in Ratnas house. Piya says that her father had gone to meet Ratna becos she was their sister, that her father had brought up Ratna as his own daughter. Piya tells Anand she is over him that there is nothing between them and that he is her past. Anand is sad on hearing this. Piya assures him that her dad may try to do something to patch up differences, but that's not going to work. During this Ratna comes there and takes Anand away as Samaya had tried to commit suicide and was in the iccu.

Episode NO. 40 - Update 28th August 2005

Anand and Ratna arrive at the hospital where Samaya's mom is waiting outside her ward. Samaya's mom is in tears. Anand inquires about Mathew and her mom starts a tirade on Mathew. Samaya's mom gives Ratna a letter left for her by Samaya before she attempted suicide. Samaya's mom is distraut. Police is waiting to take her statement, but the doctor says that she is yet to get conscious.
Akash's home… breakfast table, where a good natured banter is going on about the quality of breakfast given by Jhelaram, by Dadaji… Akash tries to intervene but gives up. Akashs daughter looks at them and smiles away. Akash is exasperated and requests them to keep quiet. All of them, the daughter, Jhela ram and Dadaji get behind Akash to get married, so that there is a woman in the house to take care of the household work. Dadaji wants a bahu in the house to save him from the stale parathas given by Jhelaram. In the midst of all this confusion, Akash and his daughter leave.
Anand and Ratna reads the suicide note left behind by Samaya, where she writes about her life.. and says that the letter is only intended for Ratna and no other. Samaya expresses her regret on falling in love with a married man, as it leads to nowhere, as there is no destination to that journey. She kept waiting for ever, for the endless dates, endless commitments, her wait for him, when he never came. She expresses her regret to Ratna that Mathew had changed his number and wiped out every vestige of their life together, leaving her completely heartbroken and alone.. and asks for her forgiveness for her interference in the life of Ratna and Anand. Both Anand and Ratna are upset to read the letter. Anand gets a call on his cell, but he glances at it and cuts off the phone.
Piya is sitting in the cabin of one Dr. Geetha Rao, a consulting psychologist, who says that her life story is quite interesting and inquires about their life together.. the beginning of their life and asks her to narrate the whole story.
Flashback.. Piya looking young… recollects the scene when a young Anand, an architecture student invites her to the coffee shop, having seen or waited for her every evening after college.. and Piya analysis the state of his mind.. and completely throws him off guard… Piya is not impressed with him and very earnestly tells him that if all the men waited for her after college and proposed to her, then what would happen to the countless other girls in the world and tells Anand that even if Anand were the last man on earth… and even if they both were Adam and Eve, Piya would never ever… Before she could complete the sentence, Anand interrupts her and calls our Piya, which distracts her and she takes off on Anand knowing her name….
Sara and her father argue… about Piya being sent to a psychiatrist … Mohan defends the act of sending Piya to the psychiatrist.. Sara confronts Mohan about Anand etc… and Mohan expresses his feelings on the subject. He expresses his views that Sara has gone on a complete one track mind that she takes off all the time and Piya is unable to open her mind and talk about it to her. Piya's dad agrees with Mohan.
The doc talks to Piya about life going on and life not coming to a standstill. The doc explains that Piya has not faced any unusual problem, that this happens with a lot of people and there is a solution to every problem…
Sara is faced with her own failings and is regretful… Piya's dad says that Piya does not want to share anything with anyone at all. Sara says she loves Piya a lot and she cannot bear to see her unhappy. Sara says that she has been Piya's counselor all her life.. be it school days, her college days, her initial days with Anand… all important events in Piya's life, Sara was the counselor. She is teary eyed that Piya does not and is not able to share anything with her anymore. That she is hurt with all their attitude in sending Piya to a psychiatrist without consulting her even once.
The doc is questioning Piya about her feelings for Anand.. how she felt, what was in her mind.. whether she ever imagined that Anand could leave her… whether she got any doubt or indication of Anand's infidelity… of any signs of his wavering feelings…She asks Piya if she had ever thought as to why Anand betrayed her.. why Anand left her for Ratna.. what is the lacuna in her .. whats the drawback in her which makes him leave her and go to Ratna… what was the reason for a man to leave his wife and family and get drawn to another woman… She asks Piya if she has ever explored these feelings or thoughts… that Anand was not a loafer.. that he was an educated man… so what was the reason for his wavering hearts…..
Piya is left in thoughts at the doubts thrown up by the Doctor….

Preview:- Piya is upset when Karan follows her and she gives him good for doing that. Dadaji asks Akash what he plans from life. Samaya is shown lying, eyes open on the hospital bed and Ratna approaches her.

Comments… very difficult episode to update.. as more was conveyed by words, dialougues and expressions… the episode was all about the different nuances of life and love.. which formed the discussion between the Doctor and Piya.. of Sara's regret at not being consulted about Piya… her feeling of being let down by her family…. Of Anand and Ratna when they read Samaya's letter… of their feelings and the grim reality of their own relationship in the wake of Samaya's act.. the dialougues by Samaya in her letter to Ratna reemphasis all the home truths about an extra marital relationship, where the other woman is left behind when the man goes with his family… the raw pain and anger in the situation…..
