My knowledge on itv heroines are very Ltd except they r ever forgiving,no self respect,can anything do for family ,touch me not types .

When her blackmail marriage took place, According to itv formula,pre was expected to frgt her love and her past,pre was expected to solve all problems of bjaj and his family,pre was expected to change bjaj into better person,pre was expected to sing that song of pati parmeshwar type,at the end pre was expected to accept bjaj her lawfully wedded husband and love hom back and make babies with him and live a long and happy married life.

But thats where I saw the difference.she took the decision in an impulse.she was taught that praan jaye per Vachan Na Jaye .she was taught since childhood that marriage cxnt be broken under any circumstances.

She was accepting marriage as she was taught that but her heart was not ready to accept that marriage.she was representing the dilemna of the norms she was taught and desire of her heart.

Many times she tried to go by blackmail marriage but she failed.

One dialogue of anurag I remember when he said that he know that she is not happy and he want her to break that marriage for her happiness with her head held high.

With durga pooja,her heart was winning over the societal norm and that one can clearly witness.

And bjaj attack in snurag and moloy was enough for her to break the norm.but before she could react bjaj himself decided to leave.

But here is the difference between pre and many itv heroines,she had no issues with breaking the marriage and no issues with kuki living with her dad.that marriage was burden on her.

If not bjaj,I m sure pre would have walk out with her head held high which I really wanted to see.

At the end she clearly understood between her and anurag,societal norms comes secondary .that's why sona anu marriage does not make difference to her.she was waiting for anurag to gain his memory and she was ready to use viraj in that process.

She knew she was not ideal,she was being selfish but she was ohkay to do that.

That's where pre comes out different to me than many fl of itv.

Comeon guys let's accept it humiliation,no self respect is the most common norm for itv fl.

My knowledge is limited too. Still, I can list a lot of heroines who don't lack self-respect. But, it's against rules.

Never has an ITV heroine been abused to this extent.

A woman having no self-respect couldn't be expected to change Bajaj or solve his issues. All expectations were with Bajaj...always. 😆

Prerna couldn't keep normal words. Her hypocrisy was seen everywhere. Wonder which vachan she respected.

Gave lectures about right and wrong but backtracked when it came to housefly.

In the cringeworthy DP track, her heart was no different than what it was before. All that cringe with filthy housefly took place ONLY because Bajaj wasn't someone who would slap, manhandle, or harass. He tolerated every shit.

Societal norms come secondary. But, social marriage matters a lot. 😆

Prerna doesn't even respect her deceased child when it comes to housefly. This shows the deep rot caused by toxic love and it's not celebratory.

Humiliation and lack of self-respect isn't common. Heroines give it back in equal measure to men like housefly. Not everyone is like fouge Businesswoman. 😆

There are so many lost opportunities in this shame in the name of a FL. She has a very low sense of self worth right from the start so I won't even go to the joke of getting married to someone for 15 lac in today's day and age.

When she got married to Bajaj, I remember a particular scenario when Bajaj challenged her to go on that para gliding. I was rooting for Prerna to give it back to him on his face that my love does not require me to fulfill some stupid challenges set by you. I was rooting for Prerna to put up a stiff resistance to RB and have the guts to walk out of the marriage once Anurag came out of jail. That's what I expected from a female of substance. I won't even go to the other details as post Durga Puja was just about Prernaji breaking the barriers of falling lower and lower.

Post leap, we have a Prernaji who is shamelessly living off RB's wealth and showing it off to others. So much so for being an "independent businesswoman".

The core of the failure of this show lies in the pathetic characterisation of the FL. That's it!!!

Sorry that my thoughts are all over the place, but just looking at this character triggers something inside me and I get irritated to an extreme level🤣

Prerna herself absolved RB of guilt of blackmail marriage saying it was her choice. i was hoping that the CV's would at least allowed her to show that sassiness to RB in privacy. she could have pretended in front of society but given him HELL when alone. if that had happened then i would have cheered & said she's not accepting it.

Let us forget the fact that a drunk Anurag slept with Komo and made Diya😆. That is the biggest crime Indian ML do. Making illegitimate kids by sleeping with the vamp. Some expect all the Eks MLs got luck to have illegitimate kids 😆That is the boundary of MLs. All her MLs were conviently forgiven by her FLs because they are supposed to be since they are Mahan Female Leads of Ekta. 😆. None of ML killed their FLs and packed their kids into orphange. That title goes to Anurag only.

Only few female leads actually loved😂 their MLs by Killing. if my memory is correct kashish wanted to kill Sujjal since she believed he killed her husband 🤣 Kasturi wanted to kill Robbie since she also believed he killed her husband and actually she tried many ways one really worked😂 Then Pre killed Anu since she also believed Anu killed Bajaj 😆 for that she serves her sentence. These were some of the hatke FLs made by Ek. But they have their reasons. First two believed in killing inch by inch.🤣 Only Pre showed mercy killing with 1 bullet😆. They were real Hatke. Again these FLs never packed off their kids🤪

And no fl keeps crawling bk the to ml who was the cause of the hurt and pain in the name of love... in ektas other top rated show, the fl is similar but there it's a hate story going on between her and the hero, not love. The result is similar but since the execution is better it works.

It's like nothing between anupre was real ..he was doing nautanki she was doing nautanki . But he kept abusing her while loving her without any guilt , she took it all with dreamy eyes . The line was crossed everytime , once when he humiliated her publicly, second when he threw her off the bridge and she held him responsible for killing their daughter . Nothing changed.

@surbhi, pre wasnt expected to suck up to bajaj, she was expected to revolt like sassy pre in komo#1 track , but she did the opposite. On one side claiming her lover to have all rights on her and on the other , playing ms hawa Hawai with bajaj , made the audience cringe even more.. That track was equally cringeworthy as anuneprekokyunmaara. Major part of the story was a cringe bec of how pre reacted each time to diff situations. I relate to none.

TBH, I don't find anything sassy in forcibly staying in a hostile home, playing lowly games, and getting humiliated every moment. 😆

Just because EK has been dominating television for years and serving stinky trash in the name of protagonists she thinks are super progressive in her mind - does not make it normal/right/something to be proud of. Just saying!
