abhi ke lie to show can do without him is what I think.. pr cvs ka kya pata.. komolika aur Ronit hi bhaut kuch kar sakte hai agar CVs chahe to pr faltoo zooming se dhyan hate to kuch soche.. nahi to characters ki khichdi mein ek aur character ayega to do nothing coz focus is clearly on AnuKoPre

The actor, sanjay swaraj's performance was what made him a likeable villain. He was effortlessly creepy, lecherous, funny and devious all at once. Always loved his dialogue delivery too.

Firstly, welcome back Grace. Hope you had a wonderful vacation with plenty of time to rewind and recharge...

Secondly, thank you for the post and the humor therein... NB is being missed. A big shout out to Sanjay Sir, for being the phenomenol actor that he is...

Now coming to the question, I believe that we shall get the clarity with regards to the track and the characters thereof by January 2020.

It is kinda confirmed now that SP is going for a major revamp with finite series in 2020. The fate of the long running Shows is something we would get to know only then. If they end up switching majorly to finite series, longevity of long running Shows including KZK will be jeopardized. So, bringing in NB will make no sense. They would stretch the current drama till then and bring this Show to a rushed and all-over-the place execution.

However, if the channel opts for a mix of finite and long-running Shows or let the old long-running shows air while airing newer finite series or if EK doesn't relinquish the slot till December 2020, the channel might relent. However, running the Show for one more year is not going to be easy given how it is grappling with ratings and rank for quite a while now. Hence, they might be forced to bring in NB once again, if other tropes and/or tracks fail to boost the ratings.

Similarly, with regards to his track ending previously with no open end... dude, it is KZK!!! If Ronit can escape form THE SWISS jail, if they could show Komolika surviving the shark attack, then how difficult would it be to reintroduce NB with all the asinine reasons and crazy back stories, especially jab baat TRP ki ho!!!

@Bold- Really? Where have you heard about this? This is really interesting and could really give SP an edge over it's competitors if it opts to do more finite series with more quality such as the amazing Ek haseena thi which I re-watched recently on hotstar.

SP even till this date have the edge over others that somehow they are the channel known for having the most iconic, long-running and highest rated shows of all GEC's for many years.

They have impressive and iconic shorter series like iss pyaar ko kya naam doon 1 and ek haseena thi to their name outside the numerous trp-topping long-running series they have, so now if they reinvent themselves to do more interesting finite series and less long-running shows then they are sure to have a big edge. Personally I feel the best would be for them to keep their shows for no more than a 1 year run. SP need to reinvent themselves for sure if they want to remain on the top instead of just relying on one long-running trp topper like yeh rishta to keep their channel running against it's rivals.

Yeah. I will pm you those links, once I get hold of my laptop that has gone for repair. Searching and embedding hyperlinks from phone is difficult. You can however, check Anil Merani's twitter and news therein for the time being.

Haven't watched either of the Show you have mentioned, so apologies for my inability to add any further inputs from my side. However, SP's recent finite series Show is topping the chart not only on the channel but across GECS, probably depicting a shift in audience's preferences towards fast paced and crisply executed series rather than the long running and often stagnant ones.

Even I am in for short-duration, fast paced and well executed series. But having said that, there are Shows that have been running for a while now, with innumerable leaps but still topping the charts. Hence, a logical conclusion is, probably a chunk of audience are also accepting of long run series. Besides, short run series are still something that might or might not work, especially if all the channels switch to them. Switching the business model entirely to finite series, thus, is a business gamble, IMO. So, it will make sense it the Channels opt for a mix of short, medium and long run series, with long run series consisting of the least share in the product mix. The shift towards finite series and finite duration should be gradual...

Thank you for sharing your views. It was good to know a different and fresh perspective...🤗

If Naveen comes back, I want him to enter on the ‘Saajan ji ghar aaye’ song. That was legit so funny.

Yes I guess you are right, given how competitive ITV is for ratings, that switching entirely to finite series would be a major risk for all channels, so yeah I agree a good mix would be ideal.

I recently watched the pakistani serial zindagi gulzar hai on many people's recommendation on india forums. I never thought I would see my self watching a pakistani serial because my impression was they are boring (because I was too used to watching dramatic indian serials or more higher budget american shows), but man, somehow I couldn't stop myself from watching the entire 26 episode series in less than a week, having stayed up early in the morning to 3am to watch the first 6 episodes. 😆 It was such a simply show with a realistic story line but the acting by fawad khan and the characterisation of the female lead were splendid and made me watch the entire thing. I only watched it just this month gone after years of hearing people praise it. If you haven't watched it, it's on netflix.

Also ek haseena thi is on hotstar, althugh you have to be a paying subscriber to watch it, but it has over 200 episodes, so if you want to watch ek haseena thi you would have to try paying for at least 1 or 2 months subscription and try watching it in 1 or two months, but it literally is one of the best shows ITV has had.

Yes please do kindly send me the links when you are able to 😃

No problems. I enjoy discussing things like this.

Zindagi gulzar hai and humsafar are fawad khans and Pakistani best shows ever made..but they have some excellent ones apart from these 2 ..they reflect their society..majorly all the social ones are based on class differences , and the struggle of women so they are serious types....but man, they r classic..

Appreciate your post Sammy.

May be the actor was great with his acting and dialogue delivery, hence loved by the audience. I'll go by your words as I haven't seem him so can't say much about the character.

But the post is about his come back in current track, I was more intested in understanding his contribution to current track and progression of the show. Whatever I could understand from the posts here its more for some comic relief and create a breathing space away from 3 lead characters at present. I don't think great acting skills can fill in for a meaty role; like Ronit is a perfect example. He is a good actor, loved by audience but at present CVs haven't been able to pen down anything for him.

Would love to know how you see NB adding to current track coz till now that question of mine still doesn't have a satisfactory answer to justify his re-entry. Share theories if you would like to.
