Slapping doesn't always mean violence!!!

Well, today I m getting into a very controversial topic and both the views r welcome. Just a request, don't make this post a platform for sheer display of ur talent called sarcasm only to to fulfill the hidden agendas, if any. Thanks!

So slapping...can be done for various reasons.

U slap when u r extremely angry

U slap when u r extremely disgusted

U slap when u r emotionally imbalanced

U slap when u want to get the other person in control if they r emotionally imbalanced

U slap when ur dear one refuses to listen something that u r trying to tell in their best interest

U slap when it is just needed at that time because the other person is too adamant to listen to you and going on a wrong path

U slap when laatho k bhoot baato se nahi maante

U slap when u want to get the truth out of horse's mouth when they are stubborn on not admitting to their wrong doings

U slap to get some kink in the bed

And then U slap when u just intend to abuse the person for no real reason and u go on slapping spree

Can we see a difference in all the slaps?

Not every slap is meant for abusing. It is abuse only when u have intentions of abusing. At times, u slap ur loved ones out of care, to stop them from doing something wrong. At times, u slap someone because u r not left with any other options. At times u slap because the other person disgusts u to the core.

What happened with Moloy today was a mixture of these three. Mohini was always an atrocious lady and moloy very well knew her atrocities. In spite of that, he always believed that she's a good lady just having some temper issues. He tried to accept her every action thinking it's just her possessiveness and her love for her son and family. When she spoke a word against Sharma's just on the ground of their class and financial status, he tried to understand her obsession of high class and either talked to her or shouted at her or warned her to be nice to them. Till the date, whatever mohini did was all out of her sickening love for her son or blind hatred for prerna and Sharma's but it was all based on superficial things money, property, etc. Today she crossed a limit when she questioned prerna's character. Not only did she challenge the fact told by his daughter but also doubted the paternity of their own grandchild, thereby snatching away the right and happiness of his son. Wasn't this a next level disgusting thing? Any husband who has ignored all her atrocities his entire life will loose it on hearing this. In spite of all her flaws, he loved this woman very dearly, because he believed she has a good heart. What he saw today was the most heartless side of her and he couldn't believe his mohini can be this disgusting who can't at the least respect the dignity of other woman who specially happens to be the love of her son. He slapped her because he was disgusted. He slapped her because he couldn't control his anger over someone doubting his daughter's character. He slapped her because he wanted her to stop right there and not go more blind in her hatred. He slapped her because the lady didn't change one bit after he had calmly warned her not to come in between Anu and pre. He slapped her because he understood that this is an ultimate case of laatho k bhoot baato se nahi maante. He slapped her because he wanted to protect his children from his vile wife. He slapped her not because he wanted to slap her or intended to abuse her, he slapped her because she fcuking deserved it. Imagine, had ronit raised this question in front of Anurag when he knew it was his child, we would have cheered if he slapped him with Teri himmat kaise hui mere biwi k baare me aisi ghinauni baat kehne ki. I cheer for moloy for slapping the woman in his own house for raising the same question. If a someone deserves a slap, they deserve it...no matter whether the person is family or outsider, whether man or woman, whether same or opposite gender. Slapping a woman can not be an issue of feminism. As much as the TV shows can spread awareness about eradicating domestic violence, they can also use the same medium to show that it is not wrong to punish ur family member if they are wrong, they also deserve the same treatment that an outsider in their place would do. I m glad that rather than some komo teaching her lessons with her petty actions, her own husband slapped her. I hope moloy works on his words and actually drags her precious son away from her.

Moloy, u were bang on today! He was guilty because he asked prerna to leave when she was like a daughter to him, love of his son and mother of his unborn grandchild. He was feeling light after he apologized to her. He was feeling happy that she has forgiven him. He was glad to see Anu is not affected by her presence. He was certain that her presence can rather help him recover and hence she should be with him. He was glad to see his kids happy together. He reiterated the fact that no sweet sonalika can be his daughter in law when Prerna is still alive. He proved it that whatever he does is only in the best interest of his kids and not even his wife can come between their happiness. I hope to see moloy being that caring Baba to prerna!!!

Other good point about the episode was nivi being unsure about her displeasure towards prerna's comeback in Anu's life. I hope she comes out of mohini's influence soon and uses her mind and proves to Mohini that her domestic sense too is as good her business sense!

so that thappad from Mol came from his own guilt ..... that he let Pre go that night and I don't think it has anything to do with knowing about Mohini's disgusting or inhuman side , as a husband he always knew how much Moh despised Pre and Sharma family , he just underplayed it and with that slap today he overplayed it ..

CVs probably trying to make that dented relation of Pre and Mol back on track as they finished with elevating prerna saying she will stand up for her family and take care of them .and went in search of job .

and that slap will trigger Mohini to go brutal and nasty on Pre and she will try to prove her claims by hook or crook ...

I get your point. I really do. And honestly you are probably right. But I will still make the argument that slapping shouldn’t have happened, especially because this will just further antagonize Mohini and prove her right. She thought Prerna was taking away Anurag, now she thinks even her husband is distant. I think if Moloy has only said I will take Anurag and Prerna away then it would have probably still had a similar effect.
My point is, the slap had the opposite effect of what it intended to do. Did Mohini deserve it? Absolutely! Did Moloy HAVE to slap her? Nope.

True...I know what will be the aftermath of this slap. But moloy didn't wisely think aaraamse and then slapped her...it was a reflect action and hence he was right in doing that. Now that he has warned her that he'll stand by pre's side, I m almost sure he'll take care of the aftermath of his actions too.

Well, when I read the hotstar synopsis, I was so sure that forum will be happy today...even before I watched y Moloy slapped mohini. Because I was quite certain that he'll not slap her just like that, she must have done something really nasty that made him lose his calm. And after I watched the episode, I was so happy to see that Moloy Basu back whom we adored. But idhar aake dekha toh again there r comments like they r promoting violence n all and I got irritated. Of course everyone is entitled to there views and I don't question that but what irritates me always is different treatment given to ladies and gents. When Prerna slapped Anurag in that humiliation episode, everyone was like he deserved it because he talked shit with her n humiliated her n what not. But today when mohini is slapped, we have an issue, it shows violence n what not. Why shouldn't a lady be slapped if she behaves nasty? There's one point on which the whole kzk fandom agrees and that is mohini deserves to be punished. People r okay if komo tortures her. But when a husband slaps wife, it becomes an issue and I don't understand it. Why do we watch everything with the glasses of how TV is affecting the society? There r few times when TV influences the society and then there r times when TV is influenced by what is happening in the society. It is both ways. It does happen in the society that occasionally husband slaps his wife, it's ok unless he has wrong intentions. U never know tomorrow he might apologize to her being a good husband that he is. Why r we affected by komo's body shaming comments? Komo is a character who obsesses over her beauty. More than her brains, she is extremely proud of her beauty. It's ok that she talks bad about others looks. Do we say they should stop showing murders in the TV because it influences the society and people will start murdering for real? No. We understand it is that specific character who is murderous and he will behave like that. Similarly, komo is like that. There r girls in society who make such body shaming comments. Again, komo obsessing over romancing with anurag. It's boring to watch for us because we r not interested, but it's not wrong. That is her character. She wants Anu's attention since day 1. When he romances her, she'll feel she defeated him and that will give her the satisfaction. For us normal girls, romancing someone can not be a sole motive of life, but for girl like komo, it is...and all her plots will revolve around that only. I feel at times we take some things too personally and end up being offended, we fail to look at it stepping into character's shoes.

I am not ridiculing your post. But slapping is not justified. That way, reasons can be subjective according to an individual, so much so that any kind of slapping can be justified.

That too, a couple like Moloy and Mohini, who have had a great relationship, they tease each other, fight with each other..and yet get back together with lots of love. It's uncharacteristic and kind of sad.

You have expressed exactly what I felt after watching the episode today. Outrageous as it may sound, but I am also waiting for the day when ANURAG SHALL SLAP HIS OWN MOTHER. I know a son/daughter can never raise hand on her his/her parents but Mohini Basu has simply crossed limits now. SHE DESERVES A SLAP FROM HER OWN SON (ANURAG) TOO OR ATLEAST I WOULD WANT ANURAG TO DISOWN HER IN FUTURE IF HE FINDS IT UNCOMFORTABLE TO SLAP HER. The inhuman torture that Prerna has to go through just because of Mohini Basu is unacceptable.

What disgusts me more is that how can Mohini Basu HERSELF BEING A WOMAN treat another pregnant woman like this???? I totally agree with Moloy Basu's saying to Mohini today.."How can you be so insensitive towards Prerna?" Mohini Basu herself had always claimed that her extra care and attention towards Anurag is BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT SHE HAD FACED COMPLICATIONS DURING HER PREGNANCY WITH ANU. So, being a woman she knows very well what complications a woman can go through during her pregnancy. Inspite of knowing that why is she making Prerna going all through this mental torture ? Doesn't she know that a mother's mental health might indirectly affect the baby? If not for Prerna (because we know Mohini hates her to the bottom of her heart) she can atleast be understanding towards her thinking A WOMAN NEEDS TO BE BESIDE ANOTHER WOMAN MENTALLY WHEN ONE OF THEM IS GOING THROUGH A CRUCIAL PHASE.(IN THIS CASE THE CRUCIAL PHASE IS PREGNANCY).

Second thing which disgusts me is that, Mohini goes around preaching that she loves her son. Infact earlier, we saw her atleast trying to accept Prerna just because Anurag loved her. FOR ANURAG'S WELL-BEING SHE CAN DO ANYTHING (THAT'S WHAT SHE HAS KEPT ON SAYING). But her actions contradict her words. If she had really loved her own son, she wouldn't have ill-treated her son's love in this manner inspite of knowing that her son madly loves this woman.Honestly speaking, her PRECIOUS ANU is alive because of this woman.(Remember that coma scene?) SHE WOULD HAVE TRIED TO ACCEPT PRERNA NOT BECAUSE OF PRERNA BUT BECAUSE OF HER SON. INSTEAD WHAT SHE IS DOING CLEARLY SHOWS THAT SHE DOESN'T EVEN RESPECT HER SON'S LOVE. SO NOW I REALLY DOUBT WHETHER MOHINI BASU ACTUALLY LOVES HER SON TO THAT EXTENT THE WAY SHE PROCLAIMS.

Bottom line is that,Mohini always proclaims that nobody in her family possesses that intelligence to decipher HOW MUCH UNDYING LOVE A MOTHER CAN HAVE FOR HER CHILD BECAUSE ACCORDING TO HER ONLY A MOTHER CAN UNDERSTAND THAT. Now, I just feel like telling her, "So Prerna is going to be a mother now. Don't you think that she might already be harbouring that undying love of which you talk about towards her unborn child just like you have towards your Anu ? If you know that already then can you please be understanding towards her by thinking she is not Prerna but by thinking THAT AT THE END OF THE DAY SHE TOO IS GOING TO BE A MOTHER ??? "
