So it does happen in real life! I took the job of course, with full disclosure. I live in the US, but my senior boss was an Indian man! So many stereotypes shattered that day, 22 years ago! 👍🏼

This drama is so unreal in so many ways, but sometimes it ends up showing stuff that actually happens in real life.

Pregnancy is not a barrier to assign a job for women. Most of women in society work in many places when they are expecting a child. In some cases, I found that pregnant women are more energetic, smart, and hard workers. They do not work irrespective way making their pregnancy as excuses.

I feel writers in KZK are going to destroy the professionalism of pregnant women in working environment showing Prerna's in-competencies in works. Writers are going to create negative image in people mind towards pregnant women.

All stories should bring positive messages to society and increase the awareness of people towards good practices, punctuality, positive attitudes, and how commit for responsibilities in their professional life.😃😃😃

Showing lack of skills and competencies of pregnant women in her profession brings negative messages to younger girls as well as boys in the society. 😊

It's fine to work in your first even second trimister (3.5 months) of pregnancy but not when you are heavily pregnant in your last trimister that is when you need to rest, take care of yourself and the child.

When she could have worked she was busy running after Anurag and Basu's now when she is in her last trimister of pregnancy she suddenely wants to work. Shivani, Shekhar, Suman and Mahesh are sitting at home doing nothing while heavily pregnant Prerna is working. Couldn't someone else from the Sharma family work to financially provide for the family?

Prerna should be taking care of herself and the baby sometimes it feels like the baby doesn't exist. She is never shown even thinking about the baby all she does is chant Anurag's name all the time.Even if Prerna isn't working for money it's for her own sake this isn't the right time for it.

Slightly different take, there is no rule that pregnant woman can’t work or shouldn’t work during their last trimester. If a woman has the will power and can handle herself she should. Just speaking from personal experience, I have had people who worked till a day before they gave birth.

Prerna deciding to work in her last trimester in my opinion is great step. Also, one of the conditions for Veena to allow Prerna to work was that she wouldn’t stress herself out and that condition has been met.

Also to your last line, there is no right or wrong time to follow your heart and do what you want to do, whether it’s working or something else!

You are correct of course! This was what I was referring to when I said the drama is not based in reality.

My post was about being offered a job even when a woman is pregnant.

I was still in office while I was in my initial stages of labour pains. It helped me to take my mind off when I know that there was still a lot of time till serious labour pains could hit me as it was my first pregnancy. The point is the fist trimester is the riskiest in the sense that both psychological and physical stress could lead to miscarriages. But the later stages are more burdensome due to the heavy bump but so much less risky in terms of baby's health if things had been normal and good till then.

What Prena was shown to do during her first months while anukom happened and while she was with Bajaj is more risky with all that psychological burden added to her being completely alone in her predicament unlike now, where she has a loving family to take care of her.

As for her being offered a job while she is in her last trimester, its something to be applauded for instead of being picked on, because many women like Prena is shown to be during her whole pregnancy, are healthy and fit to serve at office even at that later stage so an agency hiring her irrespective of her impending birth is a huge plus on the side of the CVs. Something that is less likely to happen in reality. Why openly advocate for misogyny in this because it is less likely in reality???

And to be frank, the only person who was aware of her pregnancy completely disregarded her state or her vulnerability and never showed any care for her pregnancy state but we are supposed to believe that was the time she got most out of a relationship??? What hoo haa are we doing right now, when she finally has family to take care of her?

Granted, that in a market like India where theres no dearth of available manpower, it's unlikely that a woman in advanced pregnancy will get a job. But I don't see what's wrong in actually showing that. Especially since we are living in a world where equal pay, equal opportunities is a real issue that women are tackling everyday. So in that sense, kudos to the creatives for showing a woman in advanced stages of pregnancy having th emental and physical strength to look for a job and find it without being discriminated on account of being pregnant.

I live in a country where men get 2 months of paternity leave and women get upto 3 years. India may still not be there, but showing a pregnant woman getting a job irrespective of the stage of her pregnancy maybe a good first step away from discrimination.

And lol at the doubly standards I find. If the same job to prerna had been given by a certain ex character of this show, people would've been praising him to high heavens for his open minded and female friendly ways.. Let's give it a rest with all the nit picking.

Not sure why that ‘ex character’ had to be mentioned from nowhere? There’s plenty of hypocrisies from both sides thank you very much.

Regarding Prerna’s pregnancy. There’s nothing wrong in her doing a job except in her last trimester nobody would give her a job because it’s NOT PRACTICAL for the employer to have someone who could go in to labour any second and then also need maternity leave. Think about it?! It’s not a sexist thing, they could hire a man or a woman for the job but showing a heavily pregnant woman get a job WITHIN HER FIRST INTERVIEW is how little the writers think, in that they don’t think much at all. They didn’t show her struggle to find a job, she just got it!

Then again when has anything in this show made any sense. Online fans will accept anything as long as they get romance.

Just last year, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern delivered a baby while still in office. Likewise, Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto delivered her second child in 1990, while serving as prime minister of Pakistan.

Everyday we see many women who work till the day they deliver. These women not only include menial labourers but also white-collared women in a corporate setting. Working while expecting a child, no matter which trimester, is quite normal unless a bed-rest has been prescribed owing to complications at different stages of pregnancy.

Prerna has a family to support and take care of her, rest she needs to take care. Besides, if paragliding in the first trimester did not harm her child, then working in an office is not going to kill the child either.

So yeah...

I had a similar experience though in the UK! Female boss in my case - hats off to her. When I disclosed I was pregnant I was asked, “ And how does that impact your ability to work for us?”. So many stereotypes shattered. Amazing.

and in normal recruitment of job , employee needs to show medical certificate to proof their ability to do job . cos in a job they need capable employee who could serve them the best . aur idhar just aye , geye aur job mil geye without any proper meeting. iyea track convenience hote for pregu woman , agar prerna would inform them the truth that she is capable to do this in her crucial health position , and would give the proof her worth by passing some challenge. tab iyea inspirational hote for society .. aur idhar ghanta , final staged ki ek pregu lady , college drop out jo aye ek bhangar company mai ek meeting mai job mil geye ... cv jabardasti trying to create romance of couple rather than developing character at all.. bas kaise bhi karke dono ko jodo, chahe nonsense track bhi kyu na ho
