Anurag tried to harm himself for the sake of his love. Bajaj tried to kill another human being in a cold blooded manner. As per Anurag's convo with Moloy, Anurag clearly knows what he did is wrong. Bajaj is proud that he planned and plotted a murder, bribed a policeman.

I am up for grey, black, blacker than black Bajaj. But there is no comparison between him and Anurag. It is crystal clear now. Anurag knew all along what kind of creature Bajaj is, and he had to resort to planning and plotting to tackle Bajaj. His bad luck that Bajaj got to know of his plans. It’s the perception of the viewer. You are obviously an Anurag fan so you will see Bajaj as a black character , come what may. What I see is a guy who physically and mentally abused in childhood that made him deranged and made him obsess over getting a good family. With Prerna he can achieve just that. On the other hand, you have Anurag who has always been the 1 dimensional character. He has been shown as a harbinger of goodness but when push comes to shove, he also ended up obsessing over the only person he fell in love with and even risked his life without any care for his family. Earlier Bajaj was being whitewashed and now by revealing one of Bajaj’s infinite layers, Anurag is being whitewashed.
