AUTHOR'S NOTE

I'm really glad that my readers are enjoying this story. Keep showing me some love and giving me your opinions.

I just wanted to clear somethings.

In my story, Komolika hasn't entered yet and whether she should isn't decided yet. So Prerna's father is alive and he will be because he is a pivotal part. Mr. Bajaj's extended family will be introduced after some time.

I love Mr. Bajaj and Perna's growing bond in my story but I'll advise the readers not to forget that he's a ruthless businessman, not a boy experiencing his first puppy love.

He's here for purposes bigger than anyone's imagination.

But patience, all will be revealed.

Till then enjoy.

Lots of love,

Harshita

NINE

Nobody really knew who Rishabh Bajaj truly was.

Those who had the pleasure of facing him and his wrath called him many profanities. He was called many things.

His enemies called him a business shark. A ruthless man with no heart.

A monster who destroyed others lives, stone hearted, cold hearted and what not.

They called him a narcissist. A selfish, greedy man. Nobody knew for sure, who he was.

He had always lived in the shadows, not hiding necessarily but preparing.

He liked being in the dark.

The fact that his enemies never could see what hit them or what was about to always amused him.

People were so ignorant. They were so blissfully oblivious.

They were so full of themselves that they could never see past the horizon.

Rishabh Bajaj was the lion in the world of lambs.

He was the predator. He searched for people's weakness and preyed on their fears.

He exploited his opponents' weaknesses and used them against them. He was intimidating.

Grown men used to cower in their boots.

These were rumors that spread like wildfire in Kolkata.

Their words not his.

This was the people's conclusion.

And they were absolutely correct in their conclusions.

Rishabh Bajaj was sitting in his office, twirling a paper weight, lost in his thoughts, his face covered in shadows.

His phone rang. He picked it up.

"Bajaj," his voice was curt.

"Riahabh, it's wonderful to hear that you're still your own brooding self. I was worried that the air of Amsterdam had changed you," came the sarcastic reply.

"What is it?" Rishabh feigned nonchalance, he exactly knew what it is.

"You break my heart, Rishabh. I'm not one of your cronies."

"I don't have time for your games" his was was brusque but without any malice.

The person laughed. "I know. You're accustomed to and prefer much more darker games. It is a dangerous game you're playing. It could backfire."

Rishanh only smirked, "Who do you take me for? Winning is my addiction. The dangerous the game, the more fun it is."

"But what if it backfires," doubt entered the person's voice.

"It won't. I've seen to it. It's none of your worries. You do what you're assigned to do and keep me updated. What's the current news?" Rishabh asked, still twirling the paperweight.

"The chips are falling into place. It's going according to our plan. Sameer will seal the deal in two three days and I'll stay where I am and influence the current of the waves so that they shall be favourable. Should we start preparing to make the announcement?"

"Not yet. It's one of the important rules of business and chess. Never announce your move," Rishabh said.

"Fine. I'll wait. But do you think it was right to send Sameer. Shouldn't you have gone yourself? We can't afford to lose the deal," the person asked.

"Sameer will handle it just fine. Don't worry about that. My presence was more needed here," he assured. "Sameer is forever indebted to me and he is faithful. He is his father's son after all."

"Alright. If you trust him so much then who am I to doubt him. And don't worry, I'll keep a close eye on Shiv, make sure he doesn't mess things up like he often does," the person said exasperated.

"Very well," Rishabh said and hung up.

Everything was going according to his plan.

The ball was in his hands now. He will soon deliver a devastating blow to his enemies. The one they'll never be able to recover from.

He'd waited twenty years for the day he'll extract vengeance. Twenty years he burned in the fire of rage and hatred.

He never let his wounds heal. So that they'll keep reminding him of his mission.

Twenty years. They'll never know what hit them.

After all, vengeance is best served cold.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hey guys, I know this chapter is short and not that happening but it was important to write a chapter in Rishabh Bajaj's POV so that you guys could get a look into his plan.

Do let me know what you think about it.

I've introduced several original characters. Write down I your comments your views on them and what you think their part will be in this story.

Till then, bye.

Love,

Harshita

People have a tendency to judge you without knowing you but that’s what Rishabh has been using for his advantage, he is a player who knows his opponent enter than his play! The words you have used to describe him are perfect! 👏

I want to know who is that person on phone and what revenge has he planned, waiting for the next part!! 😊

Exactly, my thoughts.

I've decided to create more Original character because the ones in the Kasauti reboot are pure pathetic.

And yes, Rishabh Bajaj is an enigma and anonymous and he uses this factor to his advantage.
