Others' choice to support abusive behaviour ?

Let me tell you a story. Actually 3 similar stories. 3 of my friends really really loved the shows where the man blackmails/ manhandles/ anyhow abuses the woman. They only loved those kind of shows. Now they are married. Love marriages. And 3 of those marriages are abusive. Now may be those are coincidences or may be they misinterpreted romanticism depicted in their favourite show. Can't be sure. But any presentation of art can be impactful to the person watching it and the intensity of that impact depends on the person's maturity. Same reason I avoid Walter white fanboys. Even psychiatrists treat patients by asking then their opinions on certain artworks and pictures. This is the reason 13 reasons why had to remove a realistic suicide scene from its latest version. Because according to psychiatrists, it could have inspired people to do it in reality. In Australia an Indian man harrassed women because he thought that's how you get girls and he learnt it from bollywood movies. So 'just a show' isn't an excuse to justify and glamorize horrific behaviour by men and women character alike. It's Bajaj or it's Anurag isn't the question here. The question is whether that behaviour is acceptable as a society.

Look, enjoying is one thing. Everyone is independent to enjoy anything he/she likes. I myself love serial killer and dark movies. But defending and justifying that behaviour in a forum is different. Glamorizing it is worse. Not being able to differentiate between abuse and romanticism is worst.

Thanks to all the Bajaj fans who has commented in this post after I logged out yesterday. Because, when i logged out yesterday i was expecting this thread to be pushed to the 2nd or 3rd page, by the time i login today. It's mainly your comments that helped it to stay in the first page and get more views & likes. So, thank you once again for that.

Coming to whether i did a poll or not, i didn't; but from the comments of neutral viewers (who are neither AnuPre or PreRish or any actors fans) i had seen across various SM and heard from my friends, I expressed my opinion. Doesn't mean it should be right. And I would be very happy if I am proved wrong when TRP ratings for this episode will be out this Thursday. I will gracefully admit that i was wrong because I am not among those who will fight with real people for fictional characters and that too for characters written by EK & her team. Aakhir like Bajaj, galti karke hi hum seekthe hain na?

And finally hello Doctors.....Thank you very much for gracing my thread and using it to get introduced to each other. Doctor is one of the most respected profession and gets you lots of blessings & satisfaction, especially when you see it with a service mind. So, may you all be content & happy with your profession and be a blessing to many.

Wanted to post this before the thread gets closed as I can see some conversations taking a different turn.

Have a nice day.

the only way one can actually find out if the 40k houses in a 1 billion population is taking a liking to bajaj is when Anu is completely out of the picture, sadly that will never happen!

Knowing storyline and watching what has been shown in the show are pretty different things, aren't they? One needs to watch the show before making a judgement on the same. If you are willing to make anyway, I don't have a problem but in that scenario, you should stick to your points rather than calling out people who have different view points. You don't get to do that because I believe, you don't know in what way they are looking at the stuff. I've got no issues with what you choose to believe but there is absolutely no need to pass comments that I personally find offending on other people's opinions. That was totally uncalled for.

Show starts:

Prerna going to do BM ( blackmailed marriage ) with Naveen Babu.

Anurag saves her from said BM

Prerna gets pregnant. Decides not to tell Anurag.

Anurag does BM to komolika and repeatedly harrasses Prerna.

Prerna komo plays sindur sindur for some days.

Bajaj arrives. Prerna does BM to him. Bajaj knew she was pregnant and also she was a human because she has two legs, two hands, wears sarees and stuff.

Anurag slaps pre.

Bajaj has dark past. So he basically married anurag's fiance, nothing special about the supposedly human Prerna..... Or is it kuki's nanny ?

Bajaj is in hospital.

Prerna's mom is in jail.

Anurag is in hospital.

------

See I did my research. Hawa me baate nehi karti. And I only stated how others' comments made me feel. I am free to say that. I didn't call anyone any adjective or anything. And even I replied to that in my last comment. ----- choice doesn't matter. I love serial killer movies. But that doesn't mean I would try to justify Hannibal Lecter in a forum. That would be disturbing.

No point actually bcoz I personally feel that the respect for doctors has been lost in the eyes of the society and such portrayals on TV is a boost to such incidents. But nevertheless I'm out of this discussion further.... Thanks to both of you🤗

Hello.

"Moral policing is a conduct wherein an individual, or a group of individuals try to enforce certain laws according to their will. They even don't refrain themselves from taking an action, when a person commits something, which according to them is immoral."

Can you please enlighten me where I did any of these ? Where I personal attacked anyone or used any bad or offensive words against anyone or tried to make anyone do anything against their will or convince them to do otherwise ? I logically stated my own point of view regarding the impact of art on our society which I am allowed to do by the article 19 of the Indian Constitution and it's an Indian show. In reply I got rude response which I replied in a lighthearted manner. In my first comment I said some comments in this thread worries me. I talked about how I felt---my own feelings and then in my second comment I explained why I felt like that

You sounded like a logical person in your feed. But now you 'moral policed' me without reading my comments properly or giving any attention to what I actually said. You wrongly accused me of ruining peace. Please give it a a look and then some thought.

@everyone. This is an open forum. If you guys want to accuse some one with any societal term like 'moral policing', first try to clearly know what that word actually means and whether that person is actually deserving of that accusation.

Anyway I am done here. Best wishes ! Bye.
