He picked her up and peppered her face with kisses while Kukki giggled. “Mr Bajaj will you please answer my question as to why aren’t you downstairs?” Prerna asked after admiring the father daughter duo.“I was waiting for my princess so we will go down together, haina princess?” Rishabh spoke up while Kukki nodded while giving a hi-fi to her father. “You weren’t waiting for anyone else? “asked Prerna curiously “no why will I wait for someone else except my princess? Were you expecting something? “asked Rishabh to Prerna winking at Kukki. Prerna realised that they were teasing her so turns away and crosses her arms around her chest huffing .Rishabh and Kukki see her angrily pouting and huffing and then Rishabh whispers something in Kukki’s ear and then both with Kukki in Rishabh’s arms go towards Prerna stand there(they stand in such a way that Kukki faces one side of Prerna and Rishabh faces another side). Prerna glares at them and closes her eyes. Both of them look at each other and sighed knowing that Prerna was angry but Kukki than started smiling. Rishabh confusingly looked at her while she gestured something which he understood and he also started smiling. The both went close to either side of Prerna and kissed her both cheeks. Prerna then starts smiling and opens her eyes. “so Kukki is your mom happy now? “he playfully asked looking at Prerna.“very happy “she replied smiling at him while she took Kukki from his arms and started nuzzling her nose on Kukki’s cheek while Kukki giggled. Rishabh all thewhile admired his queen and princess’ cute antics. After some time Kukki went towards her father who held her from one arm and kept his one arm on Prerna’s waist.Gone were those days wen Prerna felt uncomfortable with his touch. After the incidence of that party when he told her that he wasn’t Naveen Babu she felt guilty very guilty to make him feel as if an opportunist. For days she tried apologising for that incident. By the ignored her but when he saw her crying,he couldn’t resist forgiving and from that day itself Prerna never felt uncomfortable with Rishabh’s touch. Now to present the trio had reached down where the Basu family was eating their breakfast. Prerna observed each Basu family member Mohini Basu was looking at her with utter disgust and full of accusation,Anupam looked at her with sympathetic eyes and with a reassurance that if not anyone he trusted her. She was surprised that the one whom she never thought will understand was understanding her plight and the one whom she thou…. never mind in bad times you get to know your real well wishers. Nivedita Basu was looking at her not with hatred but with something which she couldn’t comprehend something like disappoint something like…. ugh she doesn’t have words for it. Nivedita was having confusion written on her face after yesterdays incident she had trust on Prerna that she will never stoop so low but then are the reports wrong or was there something more than the eye could see. Was she correct in blaming Prerna of having illicit relationship with Mr Bajaj while being engaged to Onu? While her ex-lover Anurag Basu was looking at the trio with utmost hate and with a fire of anger seeing Rishabh’s hand on Prerna’s waist. Tapur gave disgusting looks to the trio. Rishabh sat on one chair and Prerna sat beside him with Kukki on her lap. They looked like a perfect family which burned Anurag more. After sometime Kukki had her porridge and went to school with her bodyguards(perks of having a possessive father) but not before kissing her mama and dada goodbye. When Kukki was out of the house Rishabh thought it was the best time to disclose the secret of Prerna’s pregnancy to the Basus even though he was least interested in doing so but he didn’t want them to point finger at his queen’s character when he wasn’t there to defend. He took Prerna’s hand in his when Prerna looked at his face which asked her if he could proceed with his plan.She reassured him even though she didn’t know his plan but she knew he would whatever was good for her. “I don’t want you people to scorn at my dear wife after I am off to office so I would like to clarify something to all of you”Rishabh said looking at the Basu family. “yes, yes obviously after your dirty little secret is out in open you would like to justify it. Rishabh clenched his fist tightly so he doesn’t lose his calmness and Prerna keeps her hand on his shoulder instantly making him drop all his anger. Mohini gets disgusted and Anurag get jealous. “before insulting my wife look at your own son Mrs Basu. Ask him if he has ever done such a thing” the king reverts back. “what do you mean Mr Bajaj?” Nivedita asks confused at his allegations. “your dearest brother who thinks he is is holier than thou ask him did he never have out of wedlock love with Prerna?” While saying this Rishabh was feeling guilty but it was necessary so he kept his arm around Prerna to assure her that it wasn’t to demean her but it was to make people understand that in such a situation its not only the girl’s fault but also the guys fault too. “what do you mean Rishabh Bajaj?” Mohini Basu asked furiously. “ask your dear mama’s boy Mrs Basu. ask him. Because as per the reports are concerned the biological father of the child in Prerna’s womb is Anurag’s”. Rishabh stated with immense pain in his heart for such words for his queen but it was necessary so he calmed down. If you guys have done such a disgraceful deed how does it relate to me.” Anurag said with spite. “I don’t care what you think Mr Basu but the day when you both were hiding from those goons of Naveen Babu you did spend a night together.” The king answered tired of the accusations. All the while Tapur was glaring at Prerna, Moloy Basu was in state of shock and Nivedita Basu was thinking hard about something and Anupam was confused as what he should do. “enough Mr Rishabh Bajaj just because we are a family of good background and don’t want to put a case on you doesn’t mean that you can saying anything against us. See Nivi how disgusting these people are.” Mohini stated looking at her elder child who wasn’t defending her brother. “did you and Prerna spend a night together on that day?” Nivedita asked.“Nivi….” Mohini was cut off. “no Maa I want to know the truth did he cross the limit or no?” Nivedita asked Anurag while the latter stood silent not defending himself. “so, I will take your silence as a yes, so now Prerna is pregnant with your child.” She continued. “di how can you be sure that this child is mine?” Anurag asked in shock. “then how can you be sure that this baby is Mr Bajaj’s?” she said which made him speechless. Seeing the tables turned Anurag’s goes towards his room while Nivedita and Anupam are thinking about something. “how could you accuse your brother for this this woman of low…….” “Maa we don’t know the truth so you can’t blame Prerna. What if the baby is Anurag’s?” Nivedita reverts back. Mohini Basu seeing her loss in this debate leaves with Moloy but not before giving a spiteful look to Prerna. All the while Rishabh was eating his breakfast tired of Basu family’s brainless accusations and banter while Prerna was observing each one of the Basu family and being grateful towards Nivedita for supporting her and being repulsed at Anurag Basu and his mother dearest. Nivedita finally turned towards Tapur “why are you still if you have finished your breakfast?Don’t you have your college?” she asked sternly while Tapur just nodded scared then she scurried off out of the house not before glaring at king and queen. The king sighed tired at the glaring competition which the Basu family was displaying of which they were the judges but; they will pay, just a few hours. At this moment he hasn’t even start with his plan and the family started scorning at each other then when he finally starts executing it what will happen at that time. These people are of typical category of ‘I love you but can’t trust you’ types. Nivedita Basu after sending off her sister finally looked at Mrs Prerna Rishabh Bajaj,his queen. “Nivi……” Prerna started but Nivedita ignoring her words left from there. While Anupam gave Prerna a assuring smile with sympathy laced on it andwent away from there following his wife. Rishabh then gets up and makes Prerna stand up, “Mr Bajaj what was the necessity of opening these pages of past.” she complained hiding the pain she had reminiscing those days of her foolishness. “It was necessary my beloved one because the family had to know that our child isof their lineage. Mr Basu had to know its his chil…” “our child Mr Bajaj our child.” She cut him off “this child will have only one father and that’s you”she continued while his eyes glistened at her words but he controlled his feelings and kissed her forehead “put Kukki to bed early, I want to take you out somewhere.” he said. Seeing her confused and surprised face he continued “I want to share with you all of my past and reveal why I became the business shark Mr Bajaj “it’s okay Mr Bajaj if you aren’t comfortable with sharing it don’t pressurise yourself to reveal it to me.” she assured. “no Prerna it is needed for me to open up to you so we can forget our past and look forward to our future bright fully.“he said. “then even I need to open up to you, though you know everything about me I need to speak for my own assurance that my husband knows everything about me.” she replied for which he hugged her and kissed her forehead. He knew there was no stopping it. They were destined to be together as family, as man and wife and no one could separate them not her so called ex-lover nor his ex-wife.No one. And if anyone even try to think of it, he will destroy that person whole life. He was the king and she was his queen. As a ship is incomplete without a captain. As a body is incomplete without a soul. As a lover is incomplete without his lover. A king is incomplete without his queen. With his Luna the beast is alive but once she goes away, he is nothing. Not even a speck of dust. Till the queen is there besides even lost battle is a won but once she leaves even victories are loses. With this thought the business shark Mr Bajaj went to his office Bajaj industries thinking of the Basus reaction to the bomb he will drop on them in the afternoon and many more shocks which they will get in these few days. Ah! He was loving this game even before it has started. After years of hatred he was finally going to take his revenge on the Basus with the revenge of insulting. Years? Yes, because as the saying goes ‘Revenge is best served cold’. The darkest secrets of Basus which are hidden inside those four walls for years and years which snatched away his childhood mercilessly so their children are happy had to be revealed then only the beast in him will get peace.
