Since for anything said against bajaj, the explanation is he is not supposed to be good, he is dark n will behave like this etc....right from smoking in front prerna to proposing a deal to marry, everything is backed by this. But when he is called a villain, he is not. So I m confused about the characterisation of Bajaj, I m genuinely confused.

He is called to be a grey character. As per my knowledge, grey characters r those who r actually good but are bad for a certain person. Like mohini or nivi. Barring prerna n Sharma's, they were always good with others. Even with Sharma's, they were not vile until mohini trapped veena n got her arrested. That was the point when grey mohini turned into black who could plot and trap people.

About bajaj, he has been destroying his competitors by unfair means or using his power...be it Basu's or others like that showed in his first episode. He is shown not to have manners of talking to others. He is shown not to respect others...the way he left the seminar while that principal lady was speaking or the way he smoke in front of prerna. He is in his bubble only. When he rejected that lady who was seducing him, I thought he respects women but the way he has been plotting things around prerna, I lost this impression too. Please give me some white points about him that help me turn this black character into grey in my mind. Being smart, handsome, intelligent etc doesn't count as that has got nothing to do with character of a person.

N if he is supposed to be like this, may I safely call him a villain? N if he is a villain, I hope nobody minds if bad things r said about him.

PS : I do not expect answers to this question of mine such as he will start respecting prerna in future, he'll fall in love with her in future, bajaj was this and that in season 1 etc. Answers regarding what has been shown in this season till date are welcome

Hi as usual I am drawn to your post and cannot help writing.

I got emotionally invested in a story once and that was my last.

So coming back to your question looks like Drama sells , drama can be a reasonable one or an unreasonable one !

In this case we can pick any. Bajaj has been referred to as an iconic character I don’t know since I did not watch season 1 so was he an iconic character that they are so trying to recreate but in a half baked way? For now he is black but slowly maybe he will be be white washed to a gray by adding his story or do they say .

In Tamil there is a story wherein there were two lines we have to make one line smaller than other by not erasing it so what do we do make one of the lines longer so in this case the premise of the story is that these star crossed lovers face all trials and maybe perish but stay in love so in order to make a character who is black gray now they painted Prerna black so in comparison Bajaj is gray just like how they painted Anurag black to make Komi gray but somehow the gray did not stick there

So in short they will keep whitewashing one to make the other black until the end because drama sells and this story is trying to sell on its earlier successful one

Hope this appeases you somewhat 🤗

Bajaj is shown to be a successful man, i am sure the rich people in the world are as ruthless as him. They are not here to make friends. This prerna story and forced marriage is silly and unrealistic, but this is a serial and not real life , so yes a powerful rich handsome single man will blackmail a pregnant silly young woman to marry him, that too on the first meeting.

The story is just starting, am sure they will show why bajaj forced prerna to marry him, atleast bajaj is a multi dimensional character.loving bajaj arc , erica and ksg look great together.

Looking forward for future episodes.

Sorry, I would not agree that Anupre are turned black to paint baj-kom grey. I don't see a b of black in Anupre. They r just stupid at times I wouldn't call any character black until it has bad intentions.

The drama...its definitely unreasonable

And epic... everything about this show was epic it seems. I was too young at that time for my parents to allow me to watch this...so idk. From what I have heard, none of it seems epic to me when I hear it in this age, maybe back then it was epic or maybe people didn't have much options so it was epic. N I hate that they r promoting the show or its characters as epic, be it epic kzk or anu or pre or komo or bajaj...let the audience decide if they r epic. If there was no baggage of season 1, I can bet my life on this that Naveen babu would have been the most epic character of this show, but he is actually not recognized at all because he was not supposedly epic character of the original show. Let's see if bajaj of this season turns out to be epic too.

About bajaj, he has been destroying his competitors by unfair means or using his power...be it Basu's or others like that showed in his first episode.

In the premise of business rules, Anurag does business with ethics , Bajaj is unethical , ruthless, he does SWOT analysis on his competitors,... he sees their strengths , turns them in their weakness , creates opportunities and then threatens his opponents using the same opportunities . The real life business world is brutal and ruthless and scams and take overs in unethical manner and so it's shown with this character . This doesn't make one villain "technically "

He is shown not to have manners of talking to others. He is shown not to respect others...the way he left the seminar while that principal lady was speaking or the way he smoke in front of prerna. He is in his bubble only.

All these qualities fall into the bracket of lack of manners and being disrespectful , the outcome of his riches, his pride and his ego... this doesn't make one villain "yet"

When he rejected that lady who was seducing him, I thought he respects women but the way he has been plotting things around prerna, I lost this impression too.

like I said in above , if SWOT analysis is studied ,.. Basu publications is Anurag's strength, he got all shares ...turned the same Basu publication and Basu bari as his weakness... he created an opportunity out of Anurag's I will solve it myself wala step, going behind ronit ...etc and then the threatens Prerna ... more like making " undeniable proposal" where he can hit the last nail in the coffin of Basus/Anurag Basu. .. The plotting was not against Prerna to start with it was against Basus, Prerna is more of last trump card to get back Anurag fully .

Please give me some white points about him that help me turn this black character into grey in my mind. Being smart, handsome, intelligent etc doesn't count as that has got nothing to do with character of a person.
From my understanding a villain is someone who kidnaps, kills, blackmails , tortures people physically and emotionally .

Even I am looking forward to see the other side of him .. for now I will not color code him yet as those are based on understanding and perceptions, however if all we want is an ethical, well mannered, respectful, honest, sincere, fair, chivalrous kind of young intelligent character .... there is Anurag, why would the show makers bring another character just like Anurag.

Bajaj and Anurag are contrasting characters from age to maturity to ethics , intelligence everything and that is what the show makers want to show I believe ,. that you can have a character spectrum from Anurag to Bajaj (we are yet to see Bajaj in his personal space) and how the female leads life will be with two contrasting characters .

@my points in bold

I haven't seen Season 1 at all, and even this season watched only Bajaj's scenes. As to why he's grey:

They haven't shown one reason for us to believe he's not evil, but they have shown so much of his character, that as a businessman he's super impressive. Where I found him grey? He is not a traitor to his employees. He paid those union workers their dues and paid them an increment too. That's a sign of being ethical too. Employees are assets, you pay them their dues and don't keep them hanging for three months and then claim your company is like your baby. Where I found him grey? When he told Mr. Gujral that it's funny he was placing a value on his baby-company. That was true. That guy came off like a really good guy but he wasn't in real terms.

And, personally, ignoring Season 1 about which I still have no proper clue coz people say such contrasting things, there is something intriguing about Bajaj coz if someone's this resolute, with such sharp business acumen, there's got to be a story. And villains too, the iconic ones have been beautifully characterised.
