Is Parth too used to playing Monster Manik?

I never saw Parth's previous serial but there are lots of clips on insta and I saw a lot of Monster Manik this weekend. He is super hot and super good in it, BTW. Parth has not acted much beyond this serial and I wondered whether the bad feeling many of us have even getting about some of the scenes is because Parth is overacting in those scenes - he could play those scenes in a more Anurag way and less monster Manik way. My reading of the initial Anurag is that he is a gentle guy who would never get so close to a girl in that aggressive a manner but maybe Parth is so used to playing this one Monster Manik character that he doesn't know how to play these scene in any other way.

The same with the scenes with the atta, they are playing around but the way he holds her and puts his face on her is more the Monster Manik than Anurag. I don't think there is anything wrong with the physical intimacy - it is perfectly natural among friends and I am totally looking forward to the scene. But maybe if he held her a slightly more gently way - it would be more Anurag.

There are so many scenes like the haldi scene or the crying a scene - I could give a long list- where he come across as so gentle. Even the paan scene where he has to run behind her. And that's how he is with his mom and sister and dad. But the moment he is given a slightly more a active scene his aggressive goes up one more level than we are used to seeing from Anurag.

These actors also notes from their directors and they are playing exactly what the directors want them to play. As Parth said in his insta post - so maybe this is exactly what they want him to depict.

And the change on Prerna's face from calm to fear or calm to total physical awareness is exactly what they want her to depict as well.

This is not a Parth bashing post - so please don't take it that way. I am just wondering. I am totally looking forward to the atta scene. Prerna keeps putting the atta on him from a distance and you can see the moment he comes close to her form behind and puts his face on her, S becomes so physically aware of him... it's amazing. Having said that I feel they should not have put this scene out before it came on TV. A lot of how these scenes work depend on the angle of the camera etc. The scene may come across totally different in the episode than the way it came cross in these clips but all our brains are not already set in one direction!!!

I too sometimes feel that anu is becoming aggressive, i know he is frustrated that prena doesn't listen to him and is ruining her life, but his anger n frustration doesn't allow him to be so forceful with her, maybe his feelings for her overpowers his gentleness n he just wants her to break her marriage with the real monster, prena pushes him to the edge by being stubborn so he starts loosing his calm! but i so wish he do so in more gentle way! i love gentle anu, loved how he wiped her tears in the crying scene!

Where did u see prerna putting atta on him from a DISTANCE?? She is all OVER him.. much more than him.. from what I saw in memad's post stacked gifs.. she continuously keeps applying atta on him and then he reacts.. But when he realises I guess even he feels shy..

I'm really hoping that the atta sequence comes out a lot better than what we got to see in the segments. I too felt that it would have been better if he had done it more gently rather than being so rough. Gentle Anurag is so precious. Hope he remains that way !
I have not seen his previous work but going by the title Monster Manik' , it seems that he was one aggressive character. I don't exactly know who is more responsible for this roughness- Parth or the director! Must be director himself as he is the one responsible for okaying the scenes and also Parth and Erica are more of director's actors, so yeah it must be the director who wanted the scene to come out this way !

I don't think he is being rough.. it's playful and most importantly HURRIED.. they both are running around. In such case there is no time to think... he cant exactly hold her and oh so gently start applying atta on her.. if he is aware of what he is doing anurag really wouldn't do it.. and she isn't going to stand still to let him do it softly and gently.. I don't think this scene required any of that.. however whether this scene was NEEDED at this point in the story is up for debate..

May be how Nandini was responsible for bringing out Manik in him , Prerna is responsible for bringing out Monster in him . 😆

I feel Anurag is going through transition, in an Unknown territory, where Prerna is bringing out unknown side of him which is a complete surprise for him too . As rightly pointed out by himself "Kyaa bana diya hain tumhe Mujhe.
The Atta scene seems to happen in a spur of Moment ... so I won't blame him ,but yes if it came across as Rough (which I did not felt like ) then Parth and Director need to take care . but as emotion it is not wrong , the team has pretty much laid the base for such action/comfort from Anurag.

I wanted to introduce the topic because seeing the videos of Anurag as Manik made me think he is channeling him in some scenes. The reality is that the actors - both Parth and Erica- do many takes of the same scene and the director and editor choose what they want and also edit bits that maybe both Parth and Erica bring to a scene...
